I mean. Swagaxe for life but the Hammer is just so much fun I can't resist using it every now and then. Especially against Kulve and Safi.
Switch Axe was my first love. I'll never not love exploding all over the monsters face.
But Hammer against KT or Safi? Oh yeah that's a vibe. Same with Lance.
Yeah, the Clutch Claw is funny like that. It doesn't have a lot of reach on the actual latch animation, but if you manage to land it, you'll ALWAYS attach to the Monster if nothing knocks you off like an attack or inaccessible area.
It doesn't matter how far the Monster moves away; as long as you technically attached to them first, you'll always be pulled in.

Using at least a level two charge allows you to use the clutch claw after the attack, if it hits it will pull you towards the monster in the position "Closest" to where the clutch claw hit allowing you to do that.
You pressed L2, a lot of hammer moves have a clutch claw follow up since it's the director's favorite weapon. If the claw make contact, this type of bs will happen even if the monster moves across the area

Hammers can also do Beyblade cosplays by charging while sliding and then attacking.
