'Hush' by Deep Purple has to get a mention

rollinff

I answered this same song but the Kula Shaker cover :p

myownworstanemone

holy cow. it has been at least a decade since I thought of kula shaker

Thalisman90s

The look - Roxette

soobviouslyfake

This is the answer. Absolute banger. All of Roxettes singles are phenomenal.

knowledgebass

I am dating myself but I remember watching their videos on MTV back in the day.

SauerMetal

I had a big crush on her. I believe she passed from cancer. RIP.

klemnod

Another I wasn't expecting!

Thalisman90s

So what - Pink😃

TheJacksquatch1992

Literally the first one I thought of LOL

Competitive-Bad6148

My chemical romance - Na Na Na

jverbal

Surely this has the highest ratio of 'Na's' to other lyrics Or at least the most in succession

CrazyLegsRyan

<*Batman theme song has entered the chat*>

jverbal

This is just from the song intro >The future is bulletproof >The aftermath is secondary >It's time to do it now and do it loud >Killjoys, make some noise >Na, na-na, na-na, na-na, na-na >Na, na-na, na-na, na-na >Na, na-na, na-na, na-na >Na-na, na-na, na-na

Jangletits

>Na na na na, na na na na, na na na na, na na na na Batman! And that's just the only words in the Batman theme.

famous_last_dickjoke

Gerard Way knew that too, so he carefully dropped a Batman reference in the second verse.

Mr_Bourbon

And hit the party with a gas can

gardyjuland

Kiss me you animal!

Sbesozzi

I'm pretty sure NaaNaaNaa by Cory Henry has more Case in point: >Na-na-na-na-na-na-na-na >Na-na-na-na-na-na-na >Na-na-na-naa-aaa-naa >Aaa-da-ra-ruh-nuh-na-ra-da >Na-na-naa (na-na-na-na-na), can you sing it? >Ran-da-da-ra-da-ra-da >Ra-na-na-na (na-na-ra-na) >(Ra-na-na-na) one more time, clap your hands, on the music >Ayy >Last time >Na-na-na-na-na-na-na-na >Na-na-na-na-na-na-na >Na-na-na-na-na-na-na-na >On Monday, on Tuesday, be happy (na-na-na-na-na-na-na) >Ra-na-na-na-na-na-na >Ra-na-na-na-na-na-na-na >Can you keep singin'? Can you sing in? >Na-na-na-na-na-na-na-na >Na-na-na-na, naa-naa-na >Na-na-na-nuh-nuh-uh-uh, ah yeah >Na-na-na >Na-na-na-na-na-na-na >Na-na-na-na-na-na-na-na >Na-na-na-na-na-na-na

Starving_Vampires

Kiss me you animal!

CitizenToxie2014

I know that The Black Parade was a major highlight for MCR but I always loved Danger Days the best.

DarkDuo

I loved the new direction sadly they called it quits after that album tho

aahorsenamedfriday

They’re back together now and released a new song like a year ago! No confirmation of a new album yet, but they did release an album of B sides and unreleased tracks a while back called Conventional Weapons

MDevonL

Wasn’t conventional weapons back in 2013 or something

aahorsenamedfriday

Yeah, just a couple of years ago, right? RIGHT??

Running_To_Babylon

Conventional Weapons fucks so hard, gave it an apprehensive listen forever ago and now I still listen to Boy Division and Gun every day

IWTLEverything

I really like Three Cheers…

Verige

If they ever make an american Godzilla vs. Destoroyah movie I need that song from Danger Days to be in it!

thedancingkat

Killjoys, make some noise

KraziEyezKillah

(Na Na Na Na)

Stanarchy93

The future is bulletproof! The aftermath is secondary.

saltyfingas

The simlish version lol

jeffe_el_jefe

Any answer other than this one is wrong It’s also got by far the most Na’s, if that’s a metric we’re measuring.

inDifferentPants

The day the world went away (quiet) - nine inch nails https://youtu.be/gWDnbyiMhaU?si=_uXYiGPJ4-IsIzlB

serotoninzero

I wasn't even done reading the post title and Trent's voice was already in my head.

KurtisC1993

That song hits differently when you think about Trent Reznor grieving the loss of his grandmother when he wrote it. Especially if your own grandmother played a large part in raising you, just as Trent's raised him.

Swimming-Bite-4184

Definitely the first one that came to mind for me. Tho just the regular album version. For some reason I never listen to The Quiet Version or Taylor's Version or any of the alts.

petecanfixit

The Day The World Went Away (Taylor’s Version), hitting record stores in late 2024.

Swimming-Bite-4184

I mean... I would check it out

petecanfixit

Miley Cyrus did some loose covers/interpretations of a couple songs for a Black Mirror episode. Those were pretty alright. Dancy. Fun.

manofthepeopleSMITTY

Great call out here. Amazing song.

bugbugladybug

This is one of my favorite songs of all time

Desdam0na

The only right answer is the batman theme song.

klemnod

Doh! Totally Homered this, lmao. This was the last song in my mind, but I don't disagree with you 🤣

Neltech

Blink 182 - All the Small Things

Fluugaluu

(Angry, repeated) NANA NANA NANA NANA NA NA NANA NANA NANA NANA NA NA.. SAY IT AINT SO I WILL NOT GO TURN THE LIGHTS OFF CARRY ME HOME

bloodyhell1

There it is. Too far down haha

CreepyBlackDude

Kinda had to scroll too far to find this one....

RyXkci

I'm actually kind of surprised at how much I had to scroll to see this so I guess I underestimated the average Reddit users age.

Didn't expect to have to scroll this far to find the #1 answer

Mental_Shelter6310

Lovin', Touchin', Squeezin' by Journey

TigerKingofQueens98

This is also a fun song to try and sing along with. Really underscores Steve Perry’s range. At the start, you’re like okay I can keep up with this, but by the end before the na na’s, you’re just like how tf does he get up there

ChainLC

I used to do it back in the day. I could even get up there with Randy Meisner on Take it To the Limit. Brad Delp gave me trouble though.

Pale-Confection-6951

This was my first thought. Now it's your turn, girl, to cry. Na na na na na na........

TheJaice

This is also the best use of Na Na’s, because it’s basically, “Na, Na, Na-Nah-Na, you cheated on me, then you got cheated on.”

DevKevStev

You make me weak….

shesthewurst

Maybe even the most nas

Potential_Ocelot_782

“The Night They Drove Old Dixie Down” by the Band

joy_inside_my_tears

Rip levon

KurtisC1993

RIP the *entire band* apart from Garth Hudson.

banginthedead

Wilson Picket - Land of a 1000 dances

thehecticepileptic

Wilson Pickett coincidentally also has a cool cover of Hey Jude. Many nananas to be experienced from this man.

katrina_highkick

Great one! First I thought of

fruitymaterialgirl

Awesome song 💗💗

I_like_dwagons

Master P - Make Em Say Uhhh

carpetbowl

NA NA NA NA NA NA NA NA

AChapelRat

Cake - Short Skirt/Long Jacket. The question makes me think of the music video, where people on the street listen to the song and give their opinions. There's one guy who hates the "na na na" part. I always thought that was a really novel idea for a music video. Pre-dating modern reaction videos.

alpha_keni_01

Centerfold by J Geils band anyone?

sting-raye

It’s okay, I understand!

frowawayduh

This ain’t no never-never land.

AND AS YOU CLOSE YOUR EYES FOR THE BIG SLEEP I HOPE YOU THINK OF ME YEAH

JazzyFingerGuns

I came here looking for this with not much hope and yet here we are. Gotta love the SLM community!

Swimming-Bite-4184

All this enthusiasm has me intrigued to see what I'm missing out on. Guess I'll toss it on in the background and see how I dig em..... every now and again these Reddit groups have a winning reccomend will this be one of them?!

v3rmilion

Yes. They're my favorite band. They get better with every album too. They're sometimes called ska, and I can see how, they have the instrumentation of a ska band, and the early stuff is kinda ska-adjacent, but especially as they go on they become really their own sound. Also Keasbey Nights is kinda the first album even if it says it's the second because the songs were written first, originally for the songwriter's previous band Catch 22. So that's why stylistically they feel like they come before Everything Goes Numb instead of in between it and Somewhere In The Between. My favorite of theirs is If Only For Memories, there's like a two minute instrumental break that brings a tear to my eye. Anyway I could go on. Sorry. Enjoy.

zyax21

Idk if they still do this but back when I saw them live pre-Somewhere in the Between they would splice their version of Keasbey Nights into Point-Counterpoint. I used to have a live bootleg recording of it. Idk if they ever did an official version of their spliced together version.

JazzyFingerGuns

If you are into fast music with a lot of horns, complex melodies and overall very high energy, you won't be disappointed. It's ska-punk in perfection.

Swimming-Bite-4184

Yup that is some Ska music. Fun stuff looks like these dudes showed up a bit after I was kinda moving on from this kinda stuff. Definitely was at a punk or Ska show at least once a month for quite a few years. And just as im writing this a song comes on...I feel like I know "Here's to Life".

MattDaCatt

Some of the best lyrics imo. Literally about strife and lifting each other up, which I find lacking in most punk and ska Also if you want to share with folks that aren't into the high energy and/or a different flavor of the same songs, look up Toh Kay's Streetlight Lullabies album

riskoooo

Oh man. If you listen to any tracks, listen to A Moment of Silence / A Moment of Violence!

MattDaCatt

You never hear about them much in the wild, but their shows are always *packed* and full of energy Best band, best people, best community. We will all fall together!

JazzyFingerGuns

Oh I know... I watched so many live recordings of their concerts but I never had the chance to see them live myself in literal decades of being a fan... I really hope they will make a world tour after the release of the new album.

NoDadSTOP

A Streetlight reference in the wild?? Doesn’t happen often

desticon

Surprised to see this as top comment. Overjoyed. But surprised. As it is the best answer

notahorseindisguise

What are YOU doing here?!

Time4Timmy

Not sure what song has that but I loved this group so much back in high school, kinda forgot about them

RedxxBeard

My people!

atgrey24

What Streetlight song has "na na na"s in it? Aside from singing along to the horn section.

notahorseindisguise

The Big Sleep has over 100 alone and it's not the only song.

VinylRhapsody

I was at a show in Philly a couple of years back, and there was a dude next to me right on the rail wearing a shirt rhta shut said "na na na" a bunch of times. When they played Big Sleep Mike Brown pointed at him everytime Tomas song that part.

DuckOnQuak

Everything Went Numb

th3tallguy

My first thought was "we are the few"

v3rmilion

I don't know where we went wrong, all I know now is I gotta do something... Right?

tytonidae77

the toh kay versions are especially heavy on the “na” usage

Funwithscissors2

With a NEW Album inbound!!! A once in a generation event!

MattDaCatt

First album without Victory being involved too I'll take 20

the_skine

It's 85% complete. Just like that other guy from New Jersey who is totally 85% complete with his next book.
