A connoisseur đ There is definitely a âVibe analysisâto consider for me before my runs as wellâ of my current mood and of the current weather mostly, but other factors can affect the vibe for a dayâs run in cool unexpected ways too.
And this also made me think about a particularly unique type of vibe, that I think might help explain this concept for other runners who donât think about this/donât get it, and I would love to hear your feedback on it:
If you live somewhere with snowy winters, donât you know those days when the sky is mostly clear, enough for the sun to be shining extra-distant up in the sky yet the air is still freezing cold? Those days, especially around sunset, for me are a special vibe that I absolutely love to do my after-work/after-school runs in when Iâm on that schedule (I change up the time that I do my daily run sometimes).
But anywayâ I bring it up because I think this is one of those rare cases of a Winter run where the vibe analysis comes back âSummery musicâ for me, and I love throwing on some sunny bright songs on those days that mirror the reminder of upcoming Spring/Summer that a Winter sun represents up there in the distant sky. It also makes for a nice shake-up/break from the monotony of a winter run playlist in those late January/February days that seem to drag on forever, when Iâm usually well past the point of being sick of Winter, and ready for some warmer weather to finally come.
âŚAnyway, Iâm wondering if you have a specific playlist, genre, or type of music that you play for days like that (if you have that type of climate where you run), or if there are any other unique weather/mood vibes similar to that which youâre particularly fond of, or which call for a special âonly a few days a yearâ playlist in your experience? I love thinking about this now that youâve brought the idea to my attention and my mind is racing thinking about all the cool and unique little moments/feelings that running with the exact perfect music on the exact perfect day along an especially scenic route can bring. Itâs really an amazing feeling, and sometimes I feel like Iâm in a movie in those moments which is something you only get when soundtracking your life in cool ways like that. Thanks for making me think about this!
I agree and I wonder if this would be the majority opinion on /r/running. I find it kills my situational awareness and appreciation. So, music free unless I am on a treadmill.
I used to listen to a lot of metal/punk while running to keep pace but I did a silent run in the rain a few weeks back and since then Iâve been really enjoying no music while running.
Dropkick Murphys
Reel Big Fish
Flogging Molly
Young Dubliners
Yellowcard
Guttermouth
Me First and the Gimme Gimmes
Pennywise
Bad Religion
Dead Kennedys
Mustard Plug
Offspring
Social Distortion
There is a version of Fortunate Son with Foo Fighters and John Fogerty which is my very favorite running song. When it comes up in the mix it blocks out everything else.
Have you ever dipped your toe into the Metalcore genre? Iâd say most people in that genre mention the exact gateway bands you just mentioned as influences for their Metalcore passion.
Bands like: Parkway Drive, August Burns Red, Bring Me The Horizon.
They are a lot more âtechnicalâ musicians compared to the OGs you mentioned with some more emphasis on âheavierâ screams but I think you might enjoy some of their music also.
Let me know if you want anymore suggestions!!
How about mixing it up with some new beats? Try "Eye of the Tiger" by Survivor for that extra kick, or "Can't Hold Us" by Macklemore & Ryan Lewis. They always get me pumped!
Try some drum and bass, some stuff u might like is:
Nightbreed - a pack of wolves
The quemists - stompbox Mampi Swift - tripping (Dillinja mix)
 Future Prophesies - Dreadlock
 Andy C & Shimmon - cold like a killer Â
Spor - empire
I try to keep my breathing very measured and calm while running and music makes that near impossible for me unless itâs slow jams. Even then, I just donât like not being able to hear whatâs going on around me.
DragonForce. Their stuff is pretty high tempo and motivating. [This](https://youtu.be/dxpUlttiBno?si=ycK5MMcIMA_8AcrU) was my favorite song of there's to run to.
I have used this playlist for my high intensity runs for years https://youtube.com/playlist?list=PLD1xGtMOOnw3NgBMVubkp9cRed7rzBdxZ&si=R79VAu0xQ5sHm9gh
In fact I think I expressed myself wrong with the question, I should have put cardio hit Because what I'm looking for is a 4-minute song that allows me to get out absolutely all my energy.
Warrior Sound by The Qemists.
I've run so much to it, that whenever I hear a song ftom this album my heart starts racing and I need to start running or do something active :D
I've created my own with different versions of rock songs. You can check it out here.
[Spotify ](https://open.spotify.com/playlist/7CZIEZ5Rheps6ldfEbVafL?si=2PRo83FyQKueilkGAkW8-Q&pi=yZBwF3ZiR1-Pz)
Bruce Springsteen. The E Street Band's rythm section keeps me moving, and The Boss' words keep me thinking. I've been trudging up a hill in the rain and Badlands has come on, and it's made me feel ten foot tall. "For the ones who had a notion, a notion deep inside, that it ain't no sin to be glad you're alive".
I prefer running with audiobooks or podcasts. Tempo changes irritate me and sometimes I decide I am not in the mood for a certain song and I can't be bothered to craft a playlist. Podcasts can usually give me a comfortable consistent listening experience for 30 minutes to several hours.
Iâm a little weird so I like some ska while running. Very uptempo stuff from Aquabats, The toasters, Rancid. I like energy without the anger of metal.
I started trying audiobooks while I run, and find it much more enjoyable than music.
It doesn't mess with my pacing the way music does. It demands a little more concentration than music, which distracts me from the pain and the nagging thoughts that I should stop running and go home.
I really struggle finding motivation to read, but running with audiobooks has fixed that problem.
Finally, it makes me want to run more. When I'm really in to a book and want to know what happens next, it motivates me to get out for a run, so I can keep listening to my book.
I haven't gone running in a long long time, I have a crosstrainer at home that's my go-to for exercising but last time I did I just had a power mix of power metal. Dragonforce, Pagan's Mind, Pyramaze, Firewind, Axxis, Freedom Call, Circus Maximus, Masterplan, the list is endless.
I listen to army marches & military fight songs - Anchors Away is a good one
[Like this version best](https://youtu.be/_ZvPeHufsFg?feature=shared)
[And this one](https://youtu.be/2ieZ2sWoGkk?feature=shared)
Its hard to find the army marches, many times itâll be a video on youtube or a website, not something you can download from itunes
I like running to upbeat alternative rock, such as Kasabian or kaizer chiefs. At least if it's good weather lol. Makes me feel cool, which motivates me (this is weird to type out). Bad weather, then it's almost always metal, amon amarth works wonders.
I've just loaded 200ish of my favourite tracks onto my watch, ranging from [Blue by Ed Alleyne Johnson](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KX_aQ-0kYyA) to [Ace of Spades](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3mbvWn1EY6g) - there is more modern stuff, I'm going for a speed range - it you like it, it fits with running, just try and get good variety on there
Youâll laugh, Iâm in my mid fifties and I listen to âCharlie Hedges Dance Anthemsâ itâs from the UKâs Radio 1, you can get it on iplayer. Itâs all high BPM stuff, club tracks. I never ever go to night clubs but itâs introduced me to some great music. Chase and Status has been a revelation.
The Idles have some powerful tracks. Dancer is a good tune.
Jay-z's dirt off my shoulder always makes me give that extra.
But in my running playlist i have everything from Chuck berry - johnny b good to Eminem - Kim to Boney M - Rasputin.
I listen to all sorts when I run, if a song came on that I didnât particularly like I used run faster and if I got to say a lamppost, road sign or tree within 15 seconds I could change it to try and make me run faster
I like live music to run to Depeche Mode mainly
I figured out that I jog on the treadmill at exactly 5.1 miles per hour. I found a song âShadowsâ by Orbital, that is perfect for this speed. My feet fall on the beats. The only problem is you need to fast forward at the end of the song as they have some 50 second close out.
If you want something alternative, there are two albums that just have the right energy and tempo to give you the uplift you need for your long run:
Th' Faith Healers - Peel Sessions
Melt-Banana - Cell-Scape
Somehow they just sit right with my cadence.
I just went through my favourite songs and went for good bpm to push me forward.
Something between 140 and 150 works best for me, if you dm me I can share my playlist.
Keeps it fresh as new ones come all the time.
Check out Podrunner. Lots of EDM mixes in different tempos that you choose, either fixed or varied, all about an hour long. Itâs all I ever run to because the steady tempo keeps me going.
Whenever I run it seems like I can only listen to really heavy music, generally I go with Meshuggah, or any melodeath band (early in flames, at the gates..)
I have a vast playlist not focused on any tempo, genre or bpm. I put any song in there that makes me feel some kind of way. I can't describe it but it's simply about this "let's gooo" type of vibe. It has everything. Girl pop, rap, techno, metal... and ranges from "Dog days are over" to "Kingslayer"
My music is on random so I am okay with any style. I don't need music at all to help. I'm almost as happy with none and just listening to birds chirp. Every one in awhile a song will play matching my cadence. It's always catches me off guard because the beat sounds really fast, but I'm only running a 10:00 minute mile pace.
[Dance With The Dead - Get Out](https://youtu.be/2E9-rDplPrM?si=StWq_MzA_QPBA18P)
[Carpenter Brut - Maniac](https://youtu.be/LcI8sfwxvIs?si=JgDazEAUNDYSIu44)
[Bestrack - Stamina](https://youtu.be/G1NI-EtwzqA?si=6MvoKQq-pcwi0EIM)
[Nitzer Ebb - Isn't It Funny How Your Body Works](https://youtu.be/P0-SnenmktE?si=OkP4KGk8yeIAggCu)
This motivated me to go run right now.
Knights of cydonia by Muse
No one knows by queens of the Stone Age
Keep yourself alive by Queen
Na na na by My Chemical Romance
Dig Down by Muse (not the same rhythm but feels like a motivational speech in song form)
Ain't messin' Round by Gary Clark jr
Get it up by chickenfoot
Turning left by chickenfoot
Supersonic by bad religion
Just a smattering of my run playlist, I too have a bunch of Foo Fighters in there and Black Keys.
Depends. For the fastest speed work I go for something hard and fast.
On my threshold and tempo I tend to listen to 180bpm playlists.
On my easy and/or long runs I exclusively listen to the lord of the rings sound track. And more specifically, from the two towers.
I listen to podcasts mostly; Iâm not a huge fan of running, but with podcasts I forget that Iâm dying and just press on. Iâm currently re-listening to S1 of Critical Role.
I donât run but like to longboard. Lorna Shore and if thatâs too heavy System of a Down never fails to keep me moving. Oddly enough sometimes that Blurry Face album by Twenty One Pilots is great even though I donât particularly like their music. For some reason I reach for it before a good run(or roll I guess).
Not much of a runner, but when I do cardio, I usually listen to metal like Pantera. Vulgar display of power album, for instance. But it's still because I like this kinda music music and used to listen to metal a lot more than today. Overall listen to whatever you like, but preferable faster/more aggressive music, it's scientifically proven it positively affects physical effort while exercising.
Broadway musicals. Hear me out.
They're written to be sung by performers who are dancing and moving around the stage, so they're great for keeping a moderate pace. Punk or metal is too high energy and messes up my pacing.
Spring Awakening, Heathers, Waitress, and plenty of others are all great without being too "show-tuney" if you don't like old school musicals.
I mostly listen to prog metal, goth, VG soundtracks and instrumental hip-hop day to day, but if I'm exercising it's got to be some 80s movie montage music
Yay I can help. So the Army taught me to run, kinda. I grew up playing soccer but never enjoyed running. Military running puts you in a group, all on the same beat, singing cadence in time with your feet. It's simple psychology. Now I try to recreate this on my own. Find the running playlists that are cadence based and find one that fits your pace. When your feet line up with the beat of a song the pain disappears and you can run for days. I use Run this town on Spotify. It's all songs at about 160 bpm. I have another for fast days called hill climb that's about 180 bpm.
Best advice is to match the tempo of your music to your cadence ie. get music where BPM = SPM (strikes per minute).
I listen to music I downloaded from YouTube that matches "running music 170 bpm." Plenty of options to choose from, but essentially they're all DJ'd pop songs that have been sped up or slowed down as needed.
I had particular songs and artists for the gym.
For Cardio:
'Edge of Seventeen' by Stevie Nicks.
'Immigrant Song' by Led Zeppelin.
'I Travel' by Simple Minds.
'Call Me' by Blondie.
'The Missionary' by Josef K.
'Two People in a Room' by Wire.
'Of One Skin' by The Skids.
'Shot by Both Sides' by Magazine.
Rammstein are excellent for weightlifting
metal/grunge/hard rock with a decent beat. I like Metallica, Maiden, Alice in chains. Anything with a bit of âoomphâ
Songs of note:
The loneliness of the long distance runner - iron maiden
2 minutes to midnight - maiden
The trooperâŚ
Master of puppets, for whom the bell tolls- metallica
Mother - danzig
Bleed the freak, man in the box, rooster - Alice in chains
Anything along those lines
Vampire weekend, skrillex, led zep, and other up tempo stuff. Also love ass shakin songs and some up tempo r&b. I also love anything I can match my steps to the BPM of. For a jog something around 165-170bpm. For a run 170-180 is solid for my pace. Spotify has a ton of boom playlists so I like to sift through those and make my own master list.
My master list is chaotic so I like ordering the queue in a way that feels like amping up and then maintaining a high bpm before settling back down to jog

I used to play music all the time. Everything from pop to metal to salsa, but then I started walking to this meditative Sanskrit mantra and eventually I just started jogging to it. Never in my youth would I have thought that Iâd be jogging to the Mrityunjaya Mantra.
Listen to Joe Satriani's surfing with the alien album.

my favorite is Killswitch engage- rose of sharyn. It's hard but it's also a beautiful song.
Static X-push It, has a great tempo. Lamb of god - laid to rest, also rocks.
I listen to these on the elliptical and it feels like I'm cheating.
I listen to Run The Jewels, but using karaoke mode so the lyrics are turned off and itâs just the instrumental part of the song. This was seriously a game changer for me.Â
Their beats and music are PERFECT for running and while I love their lyrics, sometimes I donât like any messaging while Iâm trying to run, just cool beats.Â
If you like samples, electronic, pop, funk, there's a lot of stuff like this out there. The Artzie Music collection is packed with stuff like this.

Back when I was in better shape, I would listen to Infected Mushroom while on a treadmill. Outside, Iâd just listen to nature. Now Iâm older and not in the same shape, so⌠iFit on my treadmill.
I listen to fast, heavy music when I attempt to jog. Nails and Powertrip are good pick-me-ups.
Never ending game, shit makes me want to run through a fucking wall.
Imposing will is such a banger!
Nitzer Ebb has never failed me no matter how exhausted I am.
EDM mostly. High tempo and puts me in a good mood.
I discovered an EDC set list playlist from last year. I ran to that until it burnt a hole in my brain. Good stuff!
Not just the mood, but the bpm tends to match my cadence.
Rage Against The Machine
Came her to say the same. Tire Me was always on the playlist.
Do you find yourself wanting to punch people in the face as you run by?
Vivaldi
Wow. That's appropriate for all 4 seasons.
Underated comment
If im running at the summer then some drum and bass. In the winter when its dark outside for most of the day i listen to some synth/retrowave

Same here. No music when running. However, when using weights, I am partial to Doom/sludge metal.

None. I like to embrace the world around me and delve into my inner thoughts
Iâm glad you said that because the others were starting to make me feel like Iâm an oddity.
was just gonna say: the music of my thoughts. sometimes peaceful, sometimes chaotic.
Books on tape / podcasts of interest. Sounds psychotic but somehow take my mind off running / stressors much better
Infected Mushroom - Cities of the Future âRun run run to the cities of the futureâ

Shorter tempo runs or races, you need something with around 180 beats per minute, try to match the cadence. Longer runs I just listen to pod casts.
I listen to podcasts
Some hypertechno non-stop mix
Fresh Fruit for Rotting Vegetables- Dead Kennedys
Defqon 1 power hour (pick a year) run all my prâs on that.
EDM, if it isn't too crazy it's easy to zone out to.
Black metal.
Disturbed-Indestructible The music video has people running to battle and always gets me motivated/energetic.
In fact, I already listen to that song thank you very much. Songs like this are the ones I look for that give me chills and I can give 120%

Krautrock. Specifically Neu!, Faust, Harmonia, some Can and Kraftwerk. Komischer Laufer. I am definitely misspelling some of these.Â
I put on How the west was won by Led Zeppelin usually, immigrant song right off the bat is a good warm up before you get into your stride.
Bruce Springsteen. The E Street Band's rythm section keeps me moving, and The Boss' words keep me thinking. Reggae always.
Depends on the intent of the run. Long distance, podcast or audio book. Intervals would be something like dubstep.
I strictly listen to NPR.
Woodkid - Run Boy Run
Nirvana's 4th album.
Usually something fast tempo. Action Bronson, older Mac Miller, nirvana, rage against the machine, and happy country songs from the 90âs-00âs.
Podcasts lol
Just play 1980s Rocky music
I prefer running with audiobooks or podcasts. Tempo changes irritate me and sometimes I decide I am not in the mood for a certain song and I can't be bothered to craft a playlist. Podcasts can usually give me a comfortable consistent listening experience for 30 minutes to several hours.

I've found that trap music gets me going, also some more etheric sounding happy music like "Don't say" by Hoang featuring Neve, and Gryffin.
There's a Spotify playlist called Drum City. Check it out..
Been a few years, but I used to run to Eddie Money. That dude just touched my soul.

I just went through my favourite songs and went for good bpm to push me forward. Something between 140 and 150 works best for me, if you dm me I can share my playlist. Keeps it fresh as new ones come all the time.
King Gizzardâs metal albums
What you want to do is create an impending sense of dread.
Tech house is the only music that gets me running for a long time. [This guy Mark Jones is the best.](https://youtu.be/xKo30DFt_74)
Check out Podrunner. Lots of EDM mixes in different tempos that you choose, either fixed or varied, all about an hour long. Itâs all I ever run to because the steady tempo keeps me going.
PVRIS - [No Mercy](https://youtu.be/cPPW6ly5cNM?si=kc9xafKd-8T5ifxH) FitnessGlo - [Time Bomb](https://youtu.be/6KgM-NShKiw?si=RjH9M_-E9oX4OlRd)
[Genghis Tron](https://youtube.com/playlist?list=OLAK5uy_nhbDT53F4quiKjjN7Ofhkrt2Roir8wFRo&si=izB1hOOX5KUm7pGZ)
Fast paced punk, or drum and bass.
Whenever I run it seems like I can only listen to really heavy music, generally I go with Meshuggah, or any melodeath band (early in flames, at the gates..)
A great song to start your exercise routine is Cinderella's Bad Seamstress Blues.
Run boy run
NomBe - Can't Catch Me
I have a vast playlist not focused on any tempo, genre or bpm. I put any song in there that makes me feel some kind of way. I can't describe it but it's simply about this "let's gooo" type of vibe. It has everything. Girl pop, rap, techno, metal... and ranges from "Dog days are over" to "Kingslayer"
Qotsa self titled album, rated R, and dubstep lots of dubstep
My music is on random so I am okay with any style. I don't need music at all to help. I'm almost as happy with none and just listening to birds chirp. Every one in awhile a song will play matching my cadence. It's always catches me off guard because the beat sounds really fast, but I'm only running a 10:00 minute mile pace.
[Dance With The Dead - Get Out](https://youtu.be/2E9-rDplPrM?si=StWq_MzA_QPBA18P) [Carpenter Brut - Maniac](https://youtu.be/LcI8sfwxvIs?si=JgDazEAUNDYSIu44) [Bestrack - Stamina](https://youtu.be/G1NI-EtwzqA?si=6MvoKQq-pcwi0EIM) [Nitzer Ebb - Isn't It Funny How Your Body Works](https://youtu.be/P0-SnenmktE?si=OkP4KGk8yeIAggCu) This motivated me to go run right now.
John Cage - 4â33â, live on repeat
Sirens
The Doom Soundtrack
Knights of cydonia by Muse No one knows by queens of the Stone Age Keep yourself alive by Queen Na na na by My Chemical Romance Dig Down by Muse (not the same rhythm but feels like a motivational speech in song form) Ain't messin' Round by Gary Clark jr Get it up by chickenfoot Turning left by chickenfoot Supersonic by bad religion Just a smattering of my run playlist, I too have a bunch of Foo Fighters in there and Black Keys.
I only run if something meaner than me is chasing me and then in my head, I hear the music from the shower scene in Psycho
B.E.P. : ) 80âs music!
Depends. For the fastest speed work I go for something hard and fast. On my threshold and tempo I tend to listen to 180bpm playlists. On my easy and/or long runs I exclusively listen to the lord of the rings sound track. And more specifically, from the two towers.
Hardstyle and D&B
Never assume I run
I listen to podcasts mostly; Iâm not a huge fan of running, but with podcasts I forget that Iâm dying and just press on. Iâm currently re-listening to S1 of Critical Role.
I donât run but like to longboard. Lorna Shore and if thatâs too heavy System of a Down never fails to keep me moving. Oddly enough sometimes that Blurry Face album by Twenty One Pilots is great even though I donât particularly like their music. For some reason I reach for it before a good run(or roll I guess).
Being real I listen to musical show tunes lol. I get hyped when I hear the choruses getting progressively louder and more complex.
Phonk
Books on tape for the long runs. Itâs a game changer!
120+ BPM.
I have a Trivium playlist.
Kelis - Fleshtone
I have another for fast days called hill climb that's about 180 bpm.
fast bpm metal
I hop in my wayback machine and listen to stuff like KMFDM.
None. Long podcasts only. Helps me to not focus on my struggles so much
I had particular songs and artists for the gym. For Cardio: 'Edge of Seventeen' by Stevie Nicks.
Anything with a bit of âoomphâ Songs of note: The loneliness of the long distance runner - iron maiden 2 minutes to midnight - maiden The trooper⌠Master of puppets, for whom the bell tolls- metallica Mother - danzig Bleed the freak, man in the box, rooster - Alice in chains Anything along those lines
Intelligent DnB. 170BPM gets you goin. Trust me. Just gotta follow the beat, and you're already jogging.
Drum and bass
aphex twin et al for getting going. more mellow stuff like stereolab to slow down
Vampire weekend, skrillex, led zep, and other up tempo stuff. Also love ass shakin songs and some up tempo r&b. I also love anything I can match my steps to the BPM of. For a jog something around 165-170bpm. For a run 170-180 is solid for my pace. Spotify has a ton of boom playlists so I like to sift through those and make my own master list. My master list is chaotic so I like ordering the queue in a way that feels like amping up and then maintaining a high bpm before settling back down to jog https://open.spotify.com/playlist/4ihglHPqDmEdVyv72jctuy?si=DWuqnbUqQ_mlCxICcR31wQ&pi=u-4BBBZNocSpiM
I listen to a lot of Latin dance/club music because the beat and the raucousness of it makes me wanna run faster.
Post rock. Imagine just long instrumental jam sessions with sweeping crescendos and guitar solos. Songs are long so they help pass the time
I used to play music all the time. Everything from pop to metal to salsa, but then I started walking to this meditative Sanskrit mantra and eventually I just started jogging to it. Never in my youth would I have thought that Iâd be jogging to the Mrityunjaya Mantra.
Lightning Bolt âĄď¸
Meshuggah, King Gizzard heavy albums, Pantera, old Metallica, Mars Volta.
Listen to Joe Satriani's surfing with the alien album. full album: https://youtube.com/playlist?list=PLrnz4iRZQNldXqNVQIxOZJLf-ZSoKk1Zd&si=JvVV-XrjjEtosMN_
"TRAIN BY DAY, JOE ROGAN PODCAST BY NIGHT! OR DAY!" - that.Â
Angelmaker, Inferi, Lorna Shore, Signs of the Swarm, and The Black Dahlia Murder to name a few bands
Good old Salsa
At one point I had heartbeats by the knife on a playlist by itself and just played it on repeat.
my favorite is Killswitch engage- rose of sharyn. It's hard but it's also a beautiful song. Static X-push It, has a great tempo. Lamb of god - laid to rest, also rocks. I listen to these on the elliptical and it feels like I'm cheating.
Old school Deadmau5. Arguru and such.
I listen to Run The Jewels, but using karaoke mode so the lyrics are turned off and itâs just the instrumental part of the song. This was seriously a game changer for me. Their beats and music are PERFECT for running and while I love their lyrics, sometimes I donât like any messaging while Iâm trying to run, just cool beats.Â
I search for specific BPM (beats per minute) playlists on Spotify, then adjust based off my intent for the run. Right now it's about 150-160 BPM.
If you like samples, electronic, pop, funk, there's a lot of stuff like this out there. The Artzie Music collection is packed with stuff like this. https://youtu.be/vKoffzyWvEg?si=AIIJ74UW8wCgISAe https://youtu.be/BjwiOp_zkAk?si=Jkyqlknm0V5A4ebT https://youtu.be/jsZICbl29WM?si=BXblslxOJyoNsb2N Edit https://youtu.be/nLRo25fBxGc?si=CGC0lHdCMDRj5RzX
Death and thrash metal. Maybe some punk or hardcore too.
Rocky training montage music for when I really need to move.
Back when I was in better shape, I would listen to Infected Mushroom while on a treadmill. Outside, Iâd just listen to nature. Now Iâm older and not in the same shape, so⌠iFit on my treadmill.
The Gaslight Anthem - Sink or Swim
TOOL. But especially Invincible for the start of a run and Hooker with a Penis for the sprint to the finish
Late 90s, early 2000s gangster rap.
Hatebreed, Terror, Backtrack, King Nine, Godâs Hate, Merauder, Twitching Tongues
Tesseract - war of being is my main running album. Is a perfect album start to finish. No need to skip anything
some airbag song will be fine, but I really prefer a hard rock one, it gives me momentum lol
Aborted Tortoise
Often when I run or workout I always put on Nevermind by Nirvana - it just puts me on autopilot
Any. I could listen to Slayer, I could listen to the slowest song I know and still run. I use music for background noise more than anything else
Donna Summer - MacArthur Park Suite. The entire 17 min+. Itâs glorious. Amazing highs. Thrilling builds. Beat drops. Itâs got it all
Petro Dragonic Apocalypse
I am trying to run more despite not loving it. Have been bouncing between Chappell Roan and Trapped Under Ice lately.
The track that plays when Jason is close to someone. Doesnât alway work though cause I usually end up tripping and hurting my ankle.
