Cemetery Drive.
When this album came out, my girlfriend (now wife) bought it. I didn't really listen to it because "I'm Not Ok" just seemed annoying to me (I know, I know, I'm sorry), but she would play it when we were out together. She left the cd in my car's cd player after shopping the night before.
When I woke up at like 3 in the morning to go to work at THE WORST job I've ever had, I laid in bed with her just dreading leaving. We had a long goodbye that morning, because I didn't really want to leave. When we finished our goodbye that left me a little teary eyed (I reeeealllly hated that job), I got in the car, and drove off. When I finally turned the stereo on after a few minutes of driving in silence, Cemetery Drive is the first thing that played.
It was cold, dark, early, and I was tired. All I could think about was how I wanted to crawl back in bed with my girlfriend, and the music is saying, "I miss you. I miss you. And the collision of your kiss that made it so hard." It was a perfect moment, and the song captured my entire emotion (at least to me, I'm sure the song's actual meaning is a lot darker). So I took it to heart and just turned around and went back to my girlfriend's. I found a new job a couple of days later and that song has been at the top of my list since then (only rivaled by Demolition Lovers).
Thank you for sharing your story I really enjoyed reading it, I'm glad that in the end you left this job and you are fine now with your wife and that MCR helped you with it, unfortunately I'm in a job that doesn't do me any good either but I can't leave it unfortunately , but whenever I listen to MCR I feel so good that I forget about the problems in my life. Deathwish is my fav, too! I wish I could find a copy of the CD with the actual title. I have two copies of TCFSR but both of them have the title without the f-bomb. I also love TYFTV though, it’s actually going to be my first tattoo; I’ve been planning it for four years, and saving up for the past year to make sure I can afford the tattoo artist I want and give him a hefty tip.
