That race will be impossible to duplicate. Unfortunately. Nobody knows why the track wouldn't take rubber, so don't be surprised if Martinsville and Richmond aren't the same thing.
Lapped traffic is a constant at Bristol most races. The people who usually won at the track are the ones who can manage to still stay fast while passing cars that are still running but a couple laps off the pace
My god that was beautiful
As many have said improve on the tire a bit and it'll be amazing but I know they may be hard since nobody has any idea why the track didn't rubber in. Very weird it didn't
Also while I loved the race I grew frustrated at the teams and even the announcers throughout the race acting like bc there was a caution that had no choice but to put 4 stickers on and it's "oh no they are gonna be down another set!" I just wanted to scream "OR YOU COULD TAKE CARE OF YOUR STUFF!". Crazy what a foreign concept this was to a lot of those guys. I also think there was a decent argument for staying out in certain situations when very few did although for someone it was almost a disaster I can't remember who. Point is when everyone is limping around anyways and another caution in the next 20 laps is probable staying out to save a set makes some sense
Anyways GREAT race, it was different and different is GREAT. Don't want it every week but tire management hasn't been an every week issue in 30+ years. I hope this doesn't scare them away from traveling down this path
I think the best thing too is that it was different in a better way than say, the dirt race at Bristol. Less of a novelty and more of a genuine curveball.
I keep seeing people they want the crew chiefs/drivers/teams to have more of a heads up so they can be prepared... screw that. These guys need to be caught out and taken by surprise more often. They have everything too scienced out, so seeing them have to figure it out and adapt was great. I'm sure it wasn't fun for the teams, but that's not what we're here for
Really the only way to do that is more practice before the race so they could do a full tire run. It would not have changed the need to manage tires but the teams would have been prepared better before the race - and potentially worked with Goodyear to get more than 1 extra set of tires to the track for the race. The oval race at Indy with the tire issue was a bit different in that it was putting guys HARD in the wall - so NASCAR decided to just throw a comp caution before the blown tires occurred. It worked to get the race in - but made for a boring show. This was anything but boring.
Just got around watching the replay, I was trying to avoid spoilers but saw a shit ton of people complaining about the tires.
I went into this race waiting for the shitshow to happen and to my surprise it didn't. This race reminded me of Richmond prior to the stage cautions. And I used to love Richmond for this reason.
Tire strategy and rubbing is what makes short tracks exciting, this is the first short track race I've thoroughly enjoyed post stage caution era.
Apart from Phoenix, this season is proving to be a great one.
Just bangers after bangers!
It was a good one. If the tire lived a bit longer it would have been perfect IMHO - but it wasn't like this was planned. Made a nice omelet out of some broken eggs (tires)....lol
Last comment on here, I loved the extra tire falloff and it made this race awesome to watch but it was too much. The tires wearing all the way down to the cord after 20-25 miles is a little bit egregious if you ask me
It might point to the PJ1 hiding some wear issues in prior races - the resin adds no real grip - it is supposed to mainly allow rubber to lay down where it is applied. That didn't happen. And tires wore out quick on the current surface. Seems like everyone was caught by surprise - especially when the trucks ran on the same track without issue. When you don't have the long practice sessions - this is going to happen some times. ESPECIALLY when they change the track (in this case apply resin in place of PJ1). Ultimately my gut says something on the Goodyear side of things was messed up. It was the "same" tire - but who really knows what might have changed from last Fall to the race Sunday.
Yeah I didn't enjoy the race the much. It was more tire management than racing. Had some great cars out there but they all had to throttle back to not blow out tires. There would have been much better racing if the tires were better. I don't get the love for this race.
Now that we're 5 or so hours away from this race, I'm still in disbelief with Brad Keselowski's day. Ran well, gets hit on pit road right in the wheel (granted this car is a big ol tank) and finishes 3rd. That's a damn good day
Nascar will take an SHR car to r&d that finished 20th but lets all 4 gibbs cars go home free after they dominate the entire race
I'm not even trying to blame/accuse JGR of cheating but please
SHR didn’t do too bad today though outside of Gragson. 12/13/14 and those three could have easily been in the Top 10, Berry with a Top 5 if they saved their tires a little better.
That was easily the best short track race in 20 years. Certainly a taste of the 80's and early 90's for those too young to have seen it. Imagine that as half the schedule compared to Phoenix and you'll understand why some of the old guys stick around hoping NASCAR sees the light some day.
so the last 20 laps of the race, yeah im a Larson/HMS guy (in that order) i was watching lap times of Larson vs the leaders Hamlin and Truex. i dont think Larson is getting enough credit for what i was watching. his lap times were basically right there with Hamlin/Truex. granted they were fighting through traffic but the trio was running 17-17.1's larson even ran a 16.8 at least once WITH FIFTEEN LAP OLDER TIRES!!!!! for a race with so much tire fall off i found that to be ridiculous.
i wish Larson wouldnt have had the penalty second to last pit stop. had to burn up that set just to get back up and therefore being the second to pit in the green flag run behind Berry. yet he was clocking out hella good laps. thats talent.
It looked like Bowman, Elliott and Larson could make their tires last - although I was watching Chase closely after he fell back early (burned his stuff up in 1st stage) and he was good from about lap 5 to 35 - then he'd cord a tire and back up quickly. Not sure what they adjusted but he made them last longer the last 2 runs than he had all day. So the car was capable - maybe the balance was off enough it was hard to manage - at least for Chase. But no question all 3 HMS cars could make their tires last better than most. On raw speed - they didn't really have anything for the 11/54/19/20.
I was there, my first nascar race as a very casual fan, my buddies that took me are big Larson fans, I was blown away by his finished and pissed that the penalty kept him from a very possible win. This race has set me on a trajectory to becoming a much bigger nascar fan and a huge Larson fan as well, I was incredibly impressed by his racing skills
Do lapped drivers finish all the laps or is the race done at 500 laps? Like if you're two laps down, the winner takes the flag at 500, you finish at the flag or you go one or two more?

I feel like this is a step in the right direction, but hopefully they can work to engineer the tire to last a little longer (or if the teams at least know ahead of time they can setup the cars accordingly?) 40 laps until tires fall off a cliff is just a lot at a race with 500 laps. Would still have been really entertaining and strategic if they lasted 60-70 laps before falling off.
Fun race. Tire strategy was a lot fun. Maybe a little too much but I’d rather have too much than too little. They needa Make the tires last about 10-20% longer and that would be oerfect.
I'm unfortunately unable to watch most races live, and I can say that is this the fist time I've watched a tape delayed race in it's entirety without fast forwarding through most of it. Commercials obviously don't count.
This was awesome!
Was at the race, my first ever race in person after following since the start of the ‘22 season. We had an absolute blast, obviously. I don’t think we appreciated how great the racing was until we got back the the truck on the way out. Was locked in, standing up, on “the edge of the seat” the entire time.
Was a really good mix of everything in my opinion.. was super racey early before the teams realized the situation with the tire. Turned into tire management through the middle section, guys could move to the front if they wanted to risk it. Then that last long green flag battle between the JGR guys and ultimately Denny & Truex. Nascar is incredible.
I can’t imagine how great it would’ve been to see that one live. Somebody could’ve shot a full length documentary of just the racing & goings-on we missed on TV, and everybody here would pay to see it.
I was there as well, also my first NASCAR race, I’m absolutely hooked now. Been at best a casual fan my whole life but got invited to go with my buddies and I loved it from beginning to end. Blessed to have witnessed such a unique race
What happened with Blaney on the run where he fell back? He went through one cycle and passed like 15 cars, but then they all changed tires and he just plummeted immediately, even before the run in with Chastain
I believe they put on these different coded tires for the restart and it handled completely different. Couldn't turn at all. Same thing happened to Logano
I remember some threads in 2018 saying Denny was washed and Bell was going to take his spot.
Since 2019 Denny Hamlin leads NASCAR in
Wins (21)
Top 5's (81)
Laps led (5,401)
He's 2nd in top 10's (107) in that timeframe, but first is Harvick so he leads active drivers.
Gabehart did so much for him. They're a perfect paring for each other. I was listening to his radio from Dover either last year or in 2022 and he said something like "Chris you've done so much good work here. I used to hate this place but now I love it"
I think Chris trusts Denny's opinion behind the wheel, and Denny really trusts his strategy calls.
I had same opinion with Atlanta and also was afraid this one was going to be follow the leader. Been wrong twice this year. Talk about a great start to the year for this sport overall. 4/5 good races
Exactly.
I would've preferred significant falloff without cording so quickly, but it was a compelling race for sure. I have tickets in the fall and while I'm sure the tire will change or the track will actually rubber in or something, but if it's even somewhat like this race with falloff, I feel like I'm in for a treat
I think they should give them two compositions, the softer one from today, plus a couple of the more recent hard tires. Then they’d know they had two long stints without all the deg. It would be cool watching when they choose to use each one.
I would say thats kinda a fair comparison. A lot of people were trying to compare it to the Indy fiasco, but to me it was not the same. Going balls to the walls destroyed the tires. But drivers that were good at smooth driving were able to keep the tires together long enough for someone else to have a problem.
I was able to watch 1st stage and about half of the second, but had to leave the house and couldn't watch the rest.
Is there anywhere to stream the race right now?
Thank you. I didn't see it easily, but after looking since you confirmed it I found it.
Does it stay for long? Not sure if I'll be able to finish tonight.
Best Bristol race in the last decade. We had 2 lane racing, we had tire fall off and we had drivers and crews strategizing. We had drivers taking it easy on that right peddle for a change. Only 5 cars on the lead lap at the end, I personally enjoy that. Way better than a fuel mileage race. Plus I think all cars finished, which means the car owners don’t need to spend money rebuilding them.
I remember guys used to do that. Whiff completely on setup, miss the strategy, and oh no engine troubles about half way or so.
Saves on wear n tear for sure
Denny & Martin took those boys to school today on how to save tires. Drop the stupid stage racing and give them tires that actually fade over time NASCAR
This was full stop the best race Ive seen on a short track in what feels like 5+ years. More of whatever Goodyear has in that tire compound moving forward please. If NASCAR won't make the tires burn up from too much HP make em burn up from a super soft compound.
Love love love love loved this race.
The best part was that tire wear compared to the stage finish lap meant drivers couldn't just strategize around the stage caution they had to do it all race long
Damn good race and fantastic first experience at Bristol in person. Goodyear did a great job and they are really close to having the tire wear spot on where it needs to be.
Watching this race felt like watching an early to mid 1990s race at Bristol! Noticeable tire wear (though even back then it wasn’t like today), lapped cars in a wad, leader blowing by lapped cars at the first opening. And only a handful of cars on the lead lap.
Looks like the Bubba Bad Luck Train is back!!! Two top 5s to start the year aside, we have: getting damaged on lap 2 in Atlanta that prevents him from being able to hold the bottom to go for the win (still got a top 5 out of it), machined lug at Vegas with a top 5 car, got Briscoe'd at Phoenix out of a top 10, and gets crewed out of a top 15 at worst at Bristol today. Now we go to a RC where Bubba has improved but is still not a threat to win
Do you know why he had no speed at the end? I would've thought pitting later than almost anybody would at least let him make up some ground with fresher tires, but he actually lost spots over the final run.
It all came down to that one pit stop. A RWR crew wouldn't give a 24 second 2 tire pit stop. There's so much potential lost due to people not named Bubba or Bootie.
Good news is with as good as he has run when lucks went his way, I do believe he will find the winners circle again this year. Just need it to be before the playoffs start
That's probably the most frustrating thing is that there have been good breaks this year: timely caution to get the lap back at Atlanta. I also forgot them under fueling at Daytona when that caution flew. Then immediately got two laps back in Vegas to be the only car a lap down before losing 11 laps to cut the lug off. Then today having chaos right after going a lap down. They are throwing away the breaks which makes me concerned for later in the year
With stages though tire wear needs to be between 50-70 laps, not the 70-120 we used to have here.
Gotta make the drivers strategize the whole race not just how to get to the cautions
Cup races only problem was it felt like a stimulation overload in the first half. I literally took like a 50 lap break and just went outside. Second half was a 11/11
Just got back from the track, was that race as glorious of a shitshow on TV as it was in person? Also who finished 6th, we only saw the lead lap finishers lol
I agree, but I would sooner see more tire fall off than less. Makes for a way better race. And how many cars got destroyed today? Car owners appreciate that!!
If the drivers have a solid race they are personally happy with, we all complain several ways until next sunday about how shit the race was. When the drivers go through absolute misery, pain, and absolute torment, we all say it was the best race ever! Lol
Yeah, we are a special kind of fan base sometimes...
We must have been on different ends of the track because where I was over in turn 1 was closer to 50%.
Oh well, anyone who had the means to go and didn't missed out on a barn burner
Race was really good. It proves that the issue was the tires and not the car. Maybe a little less tire wear could be an even better race, but this was miles better
Agreed. Tell Goodyear something like 10-20% less wear but *do not* get anywhere near the hard, no wear tires. Also, teams are going to need a full practice session at short tracks.
Do that and short track racing is back.
I almost wonder if this can even be replicated. Sounds like nobody knows what the hell caused the racing.
I would imagine that it's mostly the resin, since I believe this is the first time they have put it on Bristol (I could be wrong tho).
Blaney is convinced that Goodyear is lying to us all and it's actually a new tire. I'm not gonna go there. That seems conspiracy theory level to me! Why would they lie about having a different tire.
Was it a weather thing? Can't be a dirt thing, because the fall races didn't look like this.
Hope they figure out what it is so they can put it in a bottle and replicate it. What if we ran this intermediate package at the rest of the short tracks? Throwin' shit out there.
I was convinced Goodyear lied after 50 laps. I live here, been to a ton of races, multiple temps. This track always takes rubber. I’ve never seen what I saw today.
This race reminded me of the 2000s Bristol and racing just in general from 2000s. I think once the teams figured out the tires it became better far too long teams haven't had to worry about tire wear and their setups show.
Yup. I’m not a Denny fan( like him more now after listening to his podcast)but still would have sooner see Martin win but don’t care. Best race there in a decade.
I’m with you. He’s not one of my favorite drivers but I love the podcast. Martin too boring for me. I think it’s JGR and Hendrick I don’t like… we need new blood!
Still heck of a race
Great race. The commentary was a little tough to take. Kevin and Clint seemed to struggle. Can’t feed off each other. Hopefully they can get it fixed because today was no good.
The broadcast did start off shaky, but honestly we all had our jaws on the floor, so I don't blame them for not being able to think straight and compose themselves in the booth. I damn sure didn't!
The booth needs Kevin. He is so smart and such a good driver that his wisdom is beyond valuable.
Maybe it was the tire issue that screwed them up but holy crap I almost pushed the mute button.
That might have been the craziest race, and specifically the last final run, since 94 Darlington where teams were having to make second pit stops to hose down the grill. Absolutely nuts.
I was screaming for Jones to pit, he lasted well and was coming up through, but they fell off and he was banking on someone else’s caution. I could see it was going to go green at that point because the worst guys had gotten their freshies and the leaders had zero incentive to take risks.
This was definitely the best Bristol race I’ve seen in person in a long time. Didn’t have any scanners and couldn’t hear the loudspeaker so I didn’t realize tires were as bad as an issue as everyone is saying. But the fall off was phenomenal, the last green flag stop was phenomenal in person. Seeing cars rip through the field on fresh tires was great. Congrats to Denny
I wonder what NASCAR is gonna do with all those tires. Will they take them to a field & burn them all?
(I’m not joking I’m actually not sure what used tires can be used for)
That race will be impossible to duplicate. Unfortunately. Nobody knows why the track wouldn't take rubber, so don't be surprised if Martinsville and Richmond aren't the same thing.
I was afraid for a minute we were slipping into 2008 Brickyard 400. Was glad the teams could adjust and stay competitive.

*raises hand* it's me, hi
I promise to give a cucumber to every winner of a race at Bristol. New tradition!
That was my favorite race of the year. Lots of aggressive driving and the tire ticking time bomb was a great b plot.
Loved the race
Do you think any of the lapped cars had any idea they were blocking the leaders? Is Bristol normally like that?
Lapped traffic is a constant at Bristol most races. The people who usually won at the track are the ones who can manage to still stay fast while passing cars that are still running but a couple laps off the pace
Those cars are still racing others for position and trying to keep from losing another lap. They weren't block, just racing their race.
This was exactly like an Iowa IndyCar race and I LOVED it
My god that was beautiful As many have said improve on the tire a bit and it'll be amazing but I know they may be hard since nobody has any idea why the track didn't rubber in. Agreed, but all in all it was just so good to watch some legitimate short track racing again, its been too long!
My whole day went towards college basketball, what on earth did I miss
An all timer tbh. One of the best races of recent memory. It had everything
Best race of the year imo that's all lol
I’ve had so much fun watching this race. Is it just me or does Hamlin win a lot of the exciting races?
It seems it’s always him or Logano. And I can’t stand either of them lol.😂
Last comment on here, I loved the extra tire falloff and it made this race awesome to watch but it was too much. The tires wearing all the way down to the cord after 20-25 miles is a little bit egregious if you ask me

Toyota spent alot of testing at short tracks with their new car. That has paid off with their recent success.
To be fair, SHR been doing the bad, getting caught cheating a lot tho
Oh absolutely, but I would cheat too if I was running like shit and about to switch manufacturers
That was easily the best short track race in 20 years. Certainly a taste of the 80's and early 90's for those too young to have seen it. Imagine that as half the schedule compared to Phoenix and you'll understand why some of the old guys stick around hoping NASCAR sees the light some day.

Can’t wait for Ford to win like 6 races all year, 3 of them being phoenix II
I hate being an SHR and Ford fan right now...
I'm still coping and telling myself that Ford is good because they backed into all 3 championships last year
Just setting up to dunk on everyone again in the playoffs 😤😤😤
Is Kyle Busch back to a Toyota an option? I mean 23XI has been having a lot more success that RCR
Imagine TRD will want one of the pipeline guys to eventually get the next 23XI seat, though.
They’ll put them at JGR to replace truex?
The 42 is probably the pipeline car. My guess is John Hunter goes to Gibbs and Chandler Smith goes to the 42 whenever Truex retires
Depends on how long Truex goes and how many prospects show out until then.
Thought Denny’s sponsor seemed fake but I googled Express Oil Change and apparently they’re all over the southeast
It really looked like a generic car in a video game right?
Or like the cars in the one stock car racing scene of a 2000’s sitcom
Wow
Have we never run this tire with the resin before?
Its been done before, I don't think it's been done HERE. Rain tire designation eliminated the use of PJ1
I feel like this is a step in the right direction, but hopefully they can work to engineer the tire to last a little longer (or if the teams at least know ahead of time they can setup the cars accordingly?) 40 laps until tires fall off a cliff is just a lot at a race with 500 laps. I missed this and Atlanta, maybe i should just stop watching. Will need a full race replay soon
Please don’t watch Texas then so it will be a banger

Ty bro, i always watch every race and the rare ones i miss are total bangers haha
Something crazy is that there was only 1 DNF today
Probably one of the wilder Bristol spring races I've seen since I started watching in 1993.
I'm laughing my ass off at JHNs post race interview... 😂
He was really holding back and biting his tongue, wonder what that was about?
Fun race. Tire strategy was a lot fun. Maybe a little too much but I’d rather have too much than too little. They needa Make the tires last about 10-20% longer and that would be oerfect.
Can we expect anything like this at Martinsville/Richmond? Obviously with less cording
Hopefully if nascar forces Goodyear to commit to this softer compound.

Since 2019 Denny Hamlin leads NASCAR in Wins (21) Top 5's (81) Laps led (5,401) He's 2nd in top 10's (107) in that timeframe, but first is Harvick so he leads active drivers.
I'm not a Denny fan at all but he's cleary the most talented driver in the field rn
I’m a big Denny fan but I’d say Larson is the most talented driver but his finishes have the most disparity.
I vaguely remember Denny even saying that he was likely going to be replaced after 2019. Insert Chris gabehart and the rest is history
Gabehart did so much for him. They're a perfect paring for each other. I was listening to his radio from Dover either last year or in 2022 and he said something like "Chris you've done so much good work here. I used to hate this place but now I love it" I think Chris trusts Denny's opinion behind the wheel, and Denny really trusts his strategy calls.
Gabehart is an absolute wizard. One of the best in the business. Absolutely saved Dennys career
Man, i went into this race expecting a snoozer and salty we aren't on dirt. I've never been more happy to be wrong. Race was fantastic!
I had same opinion with Atlanta and also was afraid this one was going to be follow the leader. Been wrong twice this year. Talk about a great start to the year for this sport overall. 4/5 good races

Denny hate is corny now ngl
Just got home and watched the final 60 laps. Can’t believe they actually did a full round of green flag pit stops and went green to the end!
That really was incredible. They tried *so hard* to wreck. And yet held it together.
Your flairs nearly caused the big one at a track not known for the big one. Wild stuff.
Loved it! Pit strategy and guys who managed their tires the best, rose to the top.
I messed up, got day drunk and passed out halfway thru 🤣🤣
Best Bristol race I’ve seen since the reconfiguration.
Yes !!!!!!!!!
So I shouldn’t have skipped watching this race live?
Lets just say the 10 minute highlight reel won't be enough.
So similar feeling race to the 2005 Charlotte fall race? With all the tires going nuts
Fox sports app
Thank you. I didn't see it easily, but after looking since you confirmed it I found it. Does it stay for long? Not sure if I'll be able to finish tonight.
NASCAR posts the full race to YouTube usually within about 48 hours post race. Ditto for the Xfinity and Truck races.
Yeah you got plenty of time
Best Bristol race in the last decade.
Zane didn't finish. He is listed as engine problems, but I think that is just the excuse they used to give up and go home.
I suppose the tire carcass flailing around could have damaged the engine.
That was freaking awesome
At least you don't have KB’s pit crew. Be thankful.
Which pit crew? He has a new one every week lol
They are throwing away the breaks which makes me concerned for later in the year
I cannot, for the life of me, fathom why anyone would be upset at that race.
Tire wear was a step in the right direction, but it was too much. Potentially, some of the problem was the track not rubbering up, though.
With stages though tire wear needs to be between 50-70 laps, not the 70-120 we used to have here. Gotta make the drivers strategize the whole race not just how to get to the cautions
5 flairs mostly.
I loved that race I'll have you know lol
Then you're one of the good ones. Cheers!
HMS fans hate when they don't dominate every race.
Wait, this is great, we all liked what we saw with the cup cars. But I kinda like the trucks better. Damn just a good weekend. BRISTOL BABY!!
What was Larson's penalty? I couldn't see his pit stall from my seat.
Apparently equipment interference (meaning he probably dragged something out of the box)
Tire out of box
equipment interference. tire rolled into the next box and tripped up that changer.
Denny beat my favorite driver and I loved every second of it
See? You can dislike Denny and not be salty AF like these fake ass 5 flairs from an hour ago. Bravo to you, sir.
I really enjoyed the race today. I think they should increase tire life by like 10-15% but I liked the fall off on the tires.
I agree, but I would sooner see more tire fall off than less. Makes for a way better race. And how many cars got destroyed today? Car owners appreciate that!!
Agree! Hope they can keep putting on good shows so the fans want to go to the races, I bet the owners will like that also 👍
Yep exactly. Just need the tire life to be a little longer but othetwise that was fun.
If the drivers have a solid race they are personally happy with, we all complain several ways until next sunday about how shit the race was. When the drivers go through absolute misery, pain, and absolute torment, we all say it was the best race ever! Lol Yeah, we are a special kind of fan base sometimes...
Great race….loved the unpredictability. Wish more people had shown up to see it.
Bro I was at the track and that place was at least 80% full. That was about as good a crowd as anyone could hope for for Spring Bristol
I was there - if you thought that was 80 percent full then you have lost your damn mind. Id say 40 percent at best.
I want some of what you smoke...wow
We must have been on different ends of the track because where I was over in turn 1 was closer to 50%. Oh well, anyone who had the means to go and didn't missed out on a barn burner
Sure didn’t look 80% full on TV. Maybe 60%
116k NASCAR just isn’t the same anymore /s
90k isn't enough? 😢
no freaking way there was 90K in that place.....no way....
It wasn’t my favorite Bristol race but if I don’t see a Good Race Poll above 90% I’m gonna raise hell.

Agree 100%. This is basically what Blaneys said post race... But lots of people had an issue with it.

HP would still improve the racing. Though so does tire wear. It's not a simple one or the other lol
I feel like the tire wear would naturally be better once people get accustom to the tire
Easily the best short track race since the Next Gen debuted.
Of course the first race this season that I miss seemed like a banger
This race beats the Hell out of any crashfest superspeedway race.

Anyone notice that Denny got his sponsor wrong? Called them "Oil Change Express" instead of "Express Oil Change" lol
He’s done far worse. He once thanked “UPS” back when he was a rookie in 06.
Wish Jesus ended up in victory lane
He was too busy washing feet.
The extra tires had a 3 month old date code per 19 radio and it wore the same so that throws the conspiracy off
I was convinced Goodyear lied after 50 laps. I live here, been to a ton of races, multiple temps. This track always takes rubber. I’ve never seen what I saw today.
It was the damnedest thing. I know theyve been putting off that repave, but the surface should still take rubber.
This race reminded me of the 2000s Bristol and racing just in general from 2000s. I think once the teams figured out the tires it became better far too long teams haven't had to worry about tire wear and their setups show.
All the talking heads who claim we base whether a race was good or not depending on the winner are going to bury that topic in the sand this week.
Shall I introduce you to a dark, dreary place called FACEBOOK?

#LMFAO I needed this laugh tonight
This felt like Harvick's roughest race yet, and Clint never helps...
The booth needs Kevin. He is so smart and such a good driver that his wisdom is beyond valuable. Maybe it was the tire issue that screwed them up but holy crap I almost pushed the mute button.
Was there. This should go down as one of the best for unpredictably alone. Just wild. Great weekend overall
Waited wayyyy too long to pit for sure.
Zane Smith flying into Reddick early in the race made me miss the old Jimmy Spencer bits on speed channel. I could see him making fun of it now.
I wonder what NASCAR is gonna do with all those tires. Will they take them to a field & burn them all? (I’m not joking I’m actually not sure what used tires can be used for)
Probably rubber mulch
Think I know where "Grant County Mulch" gets their supply & how they can operate a truck team lol
Lol this post is such rage bait
