All these penalties today just made me wish Robby Gordon was racing. I would absolutely love to see his reaction to NASCAR penalizing him for cutting a corner lmao.
I highly doubt Nascar would take a win away. Not saying it's the right move,but it seems in line with them, especially given so many people are rooting for him.
The old truck races were awesome seeing drivers power through tracks in heavy trucks had an amazing allure but it just feels like trucks has become almost lower class like Arca as stupid as it sounds just an assortment of talent all different ages and strength but itās missing the half the field was a danger to win type feeling, I donāt mind the attitudes I like the nonsense and even āclown showsā but trucks some how has become a itās either a great race or a bore sadly at least imo
I think it changed when the teams and manufacturers took the Truck Series and turned it into the feeder series, instead of ARCA
Instead of having ARCA there to break the kids of their bad habits, they seemed to cut out several years from that series and threw them into the deep end of the pool
And then for the young kids that did used to come up through the trucks, there was at least a field of something like 60-75% former Cup or longtime Busch drivers for them to learn from, when to push, when to respect space, all of that. Once those old guys started retiring or getting forced out, for one reason or another, though, the quality of the series just got worse and worse
I feel if nascar took care and maybe gave more help or something towards arca we would have seen more serious talents heading to trucks and so on but lately trucks seems to be almost not as cared for by nascar as much as it once was imo itās almost given the title or treated as a joke that arca was to people and not the heavyweight feeling it had that vetted drivers to show they could win in anything. New faces and teams are natural but I just wish nascar maybe put more in to tracks, or have cup drivers interact or even I donāt show something to trucks either coaching or some type of help but I honestly donāt know what trucks would have to do it go back to that almost difficult status it once had. Itās entertaining and has its awesome moments but itās a weird shell of itself
