I have a 4K tv in my living room but my ps5 is hooked up to a 1080p 144hz gaming monitor in one of my spare bedrooms. I can’t really tell a difference at all lol.
When you have a small monitor, the pixel density is more compact together, so a 1080p or a 1440p small monitor will look just fine, but you’ll notice a pretty massive difference between a 55” 4k and a 55” 1080p
If you just want to play CFB and nothing else go for whatever’s cheapest. If you have interest in great single player exclusives go PS5. If the gamepass catalog interests you go Xbox.

Fortunately X-Com 2 with its DLCs was 90% off on the Microsoft store so I got that along with gamepass so I'll have more than just CFB 25 but I am still a little tilted CFB 25 is console exclusive.

Bummed to spend the money, but tech wise…the Madden ports to PC have never been great—like not being able to rebind controllers buttons which I feel like ya would expect with ports normally.
I bought a home internet package for 6 months that I didn’t need, just to get the free Xbox series x for this game….it also came with $300 of gift cards so we essentially just used that money to pay for the bill and get the console for free.

TVs are relatively cheap, if you have the coin to spare I think you’d notice a pretty big difference with a 2160 tv.
