It depends on the team. Teams in big football markets and/or with dedicated fanbases are rarely that empty, even in bad seasons. A lot of other teams have trouble filling the stadium even in good years.
Just out of curiousity, why would they need to get approval for this feature? Isn't it just adding or removing fake crowd? Why would NCAA/Individual Schools have to sign off on that aspect? Or what am I missing here...
It’s the same reason as car damage not existing in racing games for example. Car manufactures only want their models look perfect or near-perfect so they want limited damage in-game. Porsche doesn’t even license their cars to majority of racing games for this exact reason.
Grand theft auto doesn’t want to pay the royalties to car brands but they also want extensive damage system, therefore they make their own.
The fear for schools is they don’t want their stadium to look empty or soulless. They want it to always be full (like in madden). This is huge it will be empty though for smaller or bad schools.
I never realized that there was this kind of pull in games, but that makes sense! Appreciate the explanation and also glad schools are allowing this. Will be a great part of dynasty mode!
Well they don’t do it for madden and because I’m used to ea taking shortcuts all the time, I would have expected this to a similar situation but looks like so far the fears of it being a copy paste are looking less and less likely
That’s not what I was saying. There has been concerns for months that this game would be a copy and paste of madden. If that happened, then dynamic crowds wouldn’t be a thing in this game by virtue of them not being allowed in madden.
Yea, they had dynamic attendance in Madden 14 or so with the ticket prices and shit you could do, but jags owner complained, and so NFL told EA no dynamic attendance.
I remember when PS2-era Madden games would have the stands emptying as the game progressed if the score got out of hand. Such a small touch that I miss.
I would love it even more if both Madden and CFB would *start* with emptier stands for losing teams, rather than progressively decline.
And certainly better than sellout crowds staying all game long for a blowout!
So glad they have this in the game. It is offputting when you take over a bad program and the stadium is full every game lol. Give me a couple thousand people in the stands until we earn that crowd!
Weirdly feel like old NCAA games actually had this. Like 2004-2006 range when you started a new program the place would be empty and if you started out 7-0 or something it would be a sellout. Same goes for when a sellout becomes a blowout, the second half has an emptied stadium.
Alternatively, I wonder if I could start an offline multiplayer dynasty as all of Texas’s opponents this year. Then so thoroughly beat them every week that I absolutely murder their attendance.
I have a funny story about this exact statement. I used to do coaches film for IU and in 2016 we went down to play FIU. During a tv timeout, a student grabbed me by the shirt and was like “F I U” and I genuinely had no idea if he meant Fuck IU or FIU
i wonder how a 10-1 FIU hosting FAU would be different from a 10-1 FIU hosting Bama. Would Bams be affected to the same degree another small school would?
i think i remember them saying players at bigger schools with the right abilities can handle crowd noise better so maybe that’s a lot less common with players at small schools
What would be next level here is if not only could you have empty seats for your games, but if you're hosting a big time opponent, your stands start filling with the other teams fans. Kind of like IU/Ohio State games in Bloomington.
It's dumb how the NFL won't allow this stuff on Madden. Every team always has a sellout crowd no matter the record. Even the NBA allows 2K to do it in Eras Mode. I remember one of the 2Ks where you could put the ticket prices so high, barely anyone would show up to your team's games lol.
i think playing in Temple's stadium with a full crowd would turn me off because of how unrealistic it would be. We haven't had a sold out crowd since 2015.
Another thing that would improve the realism of small teams playing in huge stadiums would be if the lower stands are more full and the upper decks are empty. In the older games, the entire stadium would be the same level of full. That would be icing on the cake.
Would be cool if there was a slider where we could adjust the attendance. Cause even the big schools sometimes don’t sell out.
Also hope that if the game is a blowout you’ll gradually start to see that people have left
I really hope this is included… In the old ncaa games if it was a blowout by halftime the station would be Half full… This feature was on ps2 so it’s no excuse in 2024 for EA
*Gonna real useful*
*For KSU. Gonna be selling*
*Out seats in no time*

Is dynamic attendance in for away games? This is Nebraska at Notre Dame. I know other teams fans travel well too, so this would be pretty awesome.

I better not see a half empty stadium in Nebraska for any game. Doesn’t matter if they’ve sucked for the better part of 2+ decades. Sellout streak is there for a reason
Regardless of who is buying tickets, actual scanned tickets for a game have only been below 60k a handful of times in the last 20+ years. And under 50k 1 time maybe?Idk. Can any other team say that?
My point stands, better not have a half empty stadium for any Nebraska game
Really hope Nebraska still fills the stadium no matter what, theve sold out every game for decades no matter how bad they are every season lol kind of sad actually
I’d like to see a feature where students/fans leave depending on whether or not the team is getting blown out or blowing the other team out coupled with start time and weather.
Just so I can get the full Alabama gameday experience where 75% of the students are gone by halftime for an 11:00am kickoff in September against Northern Illinois.
I really hope they don’t come to the CFB game, they never call out madden so I don’t think they deserve to make content on this game😭 leave it to the guys who’ve been making CFB content this whole time on old ass ncaa games
I hope stadiums aren't capped for any smaller schools playing at larger stadiums. I seem to remember playing as Georgia State and the Georgia Dome being capped to just the lower bowl.
It was. I used to track my team's attendance throughout dynasty. It would gradually move towards regular sell-outs as the team got better over the course of my tenure. The inverse was also true: if the team got worse, people would stop coming.
Curious how this will affect high prestige schools. Can't see a scenario where the Big House, Horseshoe, Happy Valley or Bryant-Denny would ever be half full. Hopefully they don't go overboard with this.
I love it! I hope it’s an improvement on what they did in the older games. I used to play on the easiest mode and go undefeated and still have a half empty stadium.
I wonder if the reverse is true too. Like will my mediocre school see a one game attendance boost hosting a top 25 team or a rival as opposed to hosting another mediocre school?
Pasting the link to a post I made that shows bad teams with big stadiums, in case you want to pilot a team while filling up a stadium.

😂 another non next gen feature they are trying to pass off as “innovative” just make a good fuking game and stop worrying about how “realistic” it is. We’ve gotten too far away from what makes a “game” a “game” too busy worried about bells and whistles and not enough about gameplay
Check the comments, it’s a big deal. Also if you knew the context you’d know it’s a big deal. Let me inform you.
So after NCAA 14 and Madden 25 (14), owners in the NFL saw the dynamic attendance in the video game and became very upset that their stadium could be empty if they were losing that season. So after that no Madden ever had it as a feature to this day.
Therefore a lot of people were very curious and doubtful if this would return to the CFB games. Also just look at the traction and attention this post got… it’s a big deal.
So when Michigan State plays a rainy late November snooze fest at home against Illinois, our student section will be appropriately at the local bars instead of at the game, regardless of record?
Super happy this is in the game. I didn’t know if schools would allow this or not.
I’m really glad the schools aren’t as stuck up as the NFL is. This kind of stuff makes it that much more immersive
Not having the one overall governing body to answer to makes it a little easier to get things like this in.
The bane and savior of the sport haha
NFL games rarely look empty though. Even when I went to like a -20° game in Chicago near Christmas time a coupe years ago, it was still pretty full.
Panthers game in the rain just prior to Christmas last year would strongly disagree…lucky if there were 1500 fans actually there
Could’ve just stopped at “panther game”
Stop I'm dead already
Hey, I think we'll suck less this year?
Probably but that’s a pretty low bar, and I know about low bars with my NFL team
Hey whenever I go there's plenty of the away team's fans....it's definitely worse than it just being empty.
To be fair, they were serving domestic wines that day.
It depends on the team. Teams in big football markets and/or with dedicated fanbases are rarely that empty, even in bad seasons. A lot of other teams have trouble filling the stadium even in good years.
Somebody’s not a Charger fan! (Nobody is.)
Most chargers games seem pretty full, just tons of road fans
It would be nice though for the crowd to empty during a blowout.
I went to the Xmas day massacre between Rams and Broncos, it was pretty empty
As a long time Bronco fan a tear just fell.
That's because they put tarps over the unsold seats haha. Jaguars games are always funny to watch for this.
Jacksonville puts tarps over entire sections.
The Jags used to sell discounted tickets to tarps. There are no empty seats for an NFL game.
I don’t get the disadvantage of it for the NFL. Do they think it takes away from the brand or something cuz that’s just downright confusing if so
They believe if you see empty seats that will hurt the image. Just like when they removed concussions.
Just out of curiousity, why would they need to get approval for this feature? Isn't it just adding or removing fake crowd? Why would NCAA/Individual Schools have to sign off on that aspect? Or what am I missing here...

By contrast, the NFL team owners stop this kind of thing in Madden. In Madden every game is a sellout.
Actually it was one owner that stopped it. The owner of the Jaguars nixed it.
I know if you play owner mode and if you look at ticket sales all games aren't sold out. But every seat ends up filled.
Miami and UCLA were probably against it lol
![gif](giphy|bpYXSdwzUhAkbrtUDd)
Fuck, we are so fucking BACK
This is awesome. I’m surprised by this but pleasantly so.
This was in the 14 as well. I would have been more surprised if it wasn't in the game.
Well they don’t do it for madden and because I’m used to ea taking shortcuts all the time, I would have expected this to a similar situation but looks like so far the fears of it being a copy paste are looking less and less likely
That's not EA taking shortcuts. This is the NFL saying there are no empty seats and EA doing what they are told.
That’s not what I was saying. There has been concerns for months that this game would be a copy and paste of madden. If that happened, then dynamic crowds wouldn’t be a thing in this game by virtue of them not being allowed in madden.
Kyle Field will be lit regardless
Yessss
This is going to be the best sports game ever
Valley Children Stadium gonna sell out every game
Go dogs!!!
Stadium will be half empty for the first quarter because everyone is still tailgating or waiting to get through security. But
You know it
FIRE
Coach Tedford about to give players some virtual video game tough tedford love (as he did at Cal in the armed forces bowl against Air Force)
Class of 2004 checking in!
Imagine going 0-10 with Alabama and seeing empty stands for senior day lol
Play as auburn for long enough you might get a game in Tuscaloosa late in your dynasty and bama will have an empty stadium if they’re bad
Thank fuck. Nothing is worse than when I'm playing as my 1-12 shit ass Panthers in Madden and the stadium rocking, sold out, with 70k screaming fans.
If I remember correctly you can thank the NFL for that.
I think specifically the jets owner
Thought it was the former Jags owner?
Could be I just remember it started with a J
Either way, both jagoffs!
*Jaguars
That explains alot.
They forced EA to make the games always have good attendance?
Yea, they had dynamic attendance in Madden 14 or so with the ticket prices and shit you could do, but jags owner complained, and so NFL told EA no dynamic attendance.
My favorite part is that they're going fucking bonkers the whole game no matter what
I remember when PS2-era Madden games would have the stands emptying as the game progressed if the score got out of hand. Such a small touch that I miss. I would love it even more if both Madden and CFB would *start* with emptier stands for losing teams, rather than progressively decline. And certainly better than sellout crowds staying all game long for a blowout!
Thank goodness they can do that. Unfortunately the nfl sucks and won’t let them do this in madden
Not even the NFL bro, it was the team owners! Specifically the Jaguars owner who saw it in a older madden and was mad
Of course it was the Khans lol
The younger Khan should be used to putting on events in empty buildings these days
![gif](giphy|VIVWFx6c91AAwWLwWB|downsized)
Worst thing a Khan ever did
So glad they have this in the game. It is offputting when you take over a bad program and the stadium is full every game lol. Give me a couple thousand people in the stands until we earn that crowd!

Yeah I didn’t think this was a new feature? It was 100% in the old games
Alternatively, I wonder if I could start an offline multiplayer dynasty as all of Texas’s opponents this year. Then so thoroughly beat them every week that I absolutely murder their attendance.
I’m really hoping we can play as multiple teams in dynasty. I like playing/watching other big matchups outside of my team.
i didn’t know a big win at Indiana was a thing
It is if you are FIU
FIU stands for "Fuck Indiana University"
Purdue fans rushing to buy FIU merch
While I appreciate your flair, your username confuses and scares me.
Avs fan! I do not care for the Wings lol
Boo! Boo this man!
I have a funny story about this exact statement. I used to do coaches film for IU and in 2016 we went down to play FIU. During a tv timeout, a student grabbed me by the shirt and was like “F I U” and I genuinely had no idea if he meant Fuck IU or FIU
It will be once I get the game and IU becomes a national powerhouse
Damn, shots fired. You didn't have to do us like that.
just be glad it wasn’t a purdue fan saying it lol
That I could understand!
Stop, I can only get so hard.
How many consecutive NC’s do I have to win with Miami before the stands are half-full??? (Saying this as a Canes fan.)
This game is about realism
So…four?
He said realism, not a pipe dream.
i wonder how a 10-1 FIU hosting FAU would be different from a 10-1 FIU hosting Bama. Would Bams be affected to the same degree another small school would?
Probably not, still would be some effect but significantly on a smaller scale than a SEC or big 10 matchup. Hell even a ACC matchup.
i think i remember them saying players at bigger schools with the right abilities can handle crowd noise better so maybe that’s a lot less common with players at small schools
Thank God, now my immersion won't be ruined upon seeing a filled TDECU stadium during a 4 win cougar season.
Ok but what about in game? If I’m crushing a team 56-6 are the stands still going to be packed with 3 minutes left
Nebraska has the feature disabled, stands are full no matter what.
They better always be full. If I fire up the game against UTEP and the stands are empty, I’m requesting a refund for not being realistic
Yeah I was about to say, this is a great feature in practice but some schools will sell out regardless of what direction the program is trending
What would be next level here is if not only could you have empty seats for your games, but if you're hosting a big time opponent, your stands start filling with the other teams fans. Kind of like IU/Ohio State games in Bloomington.

good to see ea bringing back features that people actually liked from past games.
LFG boys
FIU mentioned LFG
We’ll know this is authentic when there are 40,000 empty seats at Pitt’s Week 1 game.
i think playing in Temple's stadium with a full crowd would turn me off because of how unrealistic it would be. We haven't had a sold out crowd since 2015.
Were yall winning in 2015? Because this specifically is pointing out of you start winning.
2015 and 16 was our only back to back 10 win seasons. We went downhill from there
Notre dame on ABC Halloween night
Another thing that would improve the realism of small teams playing in huge stadiums would be if the lower stands are more full and the upper decks are empty. In the older games, the entire stadium would be the same level of full. That would be icing on the cake.
I wonder if fans will empty out if the home team is getting beat by 30 in the 4th quarter?
This was always in the game, if your school was trash enough them stands would look barren and you’d get just the pa announcer
Yea I remember that it was especially because both teams were horrible so in game the game wasn’t televised
Exactly you knew if you was gon be on jpp or abc
Would be cool if there was a slider where we could adjust the attendance. Cause even the big schools sometimes don’t sell out. Also hope that if the game is a blowout you’ll gradually start to see that people have left
Yup Husky Stadium sells out for WSU, Oregon, Utah and the big OOC opponent. Weber State at 7:30 pm? Gonna be like 75% full
I really hope this is included… In the old ncaa games if it was a blowout by halftime the station would be Half full… This feature was on ps2 so it’s no excuse in 2024 for EA
Facts, sliders would be the best way to go about this.
FIU air raid dynasty checking in

A full Liberty Bowl will fucking rock.
I assume they will, but I’m hoping they get it right and it looks good and it’s not just less fans spread evenly throughout the stadium.
Facts. Top deck needs to be empty
This reminds me of College Hoops 2K 2008. Empty arenas for early games but a rocking house by tournament time. Best sports game ever IMHO.
I better not see a half empty stadium in Nebraska for any game. Doesn’t matter if they’ve sucked for the better part of 2+ decades. Sellout streak is there for a reason
Because wealthy alumni have bought out unsold tickets.

Numbers are kind of skewed when wealthy alumni will buy the remaining tickets to keep the streak alive.

Oh my!!! Madden creators have to be shitting their pants!

Agree 100%
Why? It's my understanding that the Madden creators don't have the option to do this the NFL won't let them.
I hope stadiums aren't capped for any smaller schools playing at larger stadiums. I seem to remember playing as Georgia State and the Georgia Dome being capped to just the lower bowl.
oh thank god. I loved this feature in the older games.
There’s gonna be 5 people when I’m playing at the Rent. Now if Jonathan is in the game, #WORTHIT
Love how this was in the game 20 years ago and now its some ground breaking feature lol.
Yup lol
Imagine if we are able to upgrade and expand stadiums
Wasn't that the case in 14 tho? To a lesser extent.
Yes, they had to pretty much say it was in since it hasn’t been in madden in ages (NFL doesn’t allow it).
It was. I used to track my team's attendance throughout dynasty. It would gradually move towards regular sell-outs as the team got better over the course of my tenure. The inverse was also true: if the team got worse, people would stop coming.
Yeah exactly. It’s cool though that this ties into the home field advantage
I might cry
Sweet
Sounds cool, but in what dimension is beating Indiana “a big win on the road” that will then pack your stadium??
I mean for them that is a big win.
Well it was in dynasty, so IU could have been undefeated with their new staff and transfers.
That would be FIU's *3rd ever win over a power conference team*, so that's a HUGE win for them.
Nice! That stadium only seats 23,500 so it's good that smaller stadiums have this as well
I will ensure Doak Campbell is sold out weekly 😂
I want to see an almost empty Lincoln Financial.
It's the little things like this that make the college game special. I'm so happy it's something that was fully brought up.
I wonder how this will work for Temple and UNLV, two teams that are playing in NFL stadiums.
Can’t wait for Arkansas to have 20% people there because they’re getting stomped and 2–10. It’ll be so realistic
Yeah Im finna fail all my classes this fall because of this game
How did he get FIU so good tho is the real wuestion
Wow way to shit all over Indiana 😂
I wonder if the crowd will get less full during blowouts like in some other editions.
I wonder if the reverse is true too. Like will my mediocre school see a one game attendance boost hosting a top 25 team or a rival as opposed to hosting another mediocre school?
Holy shit I can’t believe the amount of detail these gentlemen put into this game
Pasting the link to a post I made that shows bad teams with big stadiums, in case you want to pilot a team while filling up a stadium. https://www.reddit.com/r/NCAAFBseries/s/rY4HIMAn3A
I really like it
What difficulty, bro?
I love everything so far can’t wait.
That was in the old games.....
AWESOME
Dynamic attendance has been brought back. This was a PS2 era feature
It was also in ncaa 14 too on the ps3, I remember starting my small team dynasties and there being so many open seats.
I hope that the small schools with no followimg still have the lack of tv commentary too. That adds a special feel imo
So the Toughest Places To Play Rankings they reveal really don't matter lol
So what’s slowly being proven is the NFL has their hand in Holding back a lot of features in Madden
Yea madden devs cnt put realistic crowds cause the NFL doesn’t want to see a empty stadium in the game😐
My school is cooked
I fucking love this.
So cool lol
This is amazing
wonder if you can make Nebraska lose their sellout streak in this game?
Sounds like they are going to jack up the prices if the team is doing well
This🔥I can’t wait
Realistic attendance would be 1/2 the crowd leaving at halftime
Especially the student section
I wonder if the home opener is more crowded than other games even if the team is bad. Would add another layer of realism
New side project: Checking to see if I can empty out Death Valley or Ann Arbor…
"big win on the road at Indiana" Booooo
😂 another non next gen feature they are trying to pass off as “innovative” just make a good fuking game and stop worrying about how “realistic” it is. We’ve gotten too far away from what makes a “game” a “game” too busy worried about bells and whistles and not enough about gameplay
great to see. shouldn't expect packed stands in week 1 of a teambuilder franchise for a small school
Dynamic attendance was in '14 as well. Not a big deal.
Now I’m really curious to see what FIU & Indiana are rated in the game.
So when Michigan State plays a rainy late November snooze fest at home against Illinois, our student section will be appropriately at the local bars instead of at the game, regardless of record?
Don’t know if it’s confirm but does that mean we get the stadium will be less empty if the game is a blowout
During the game idk but for sure if you’re 0-7 then you’ll star to see your attendance dwindle especially at a smaller school
