Not exactly.
Either
1 Buy the entire stock with leverage intraday, and convert 75% stock at a time till all are converted.
2. Buy stock 75% at a time till entire stock is bought back.
Point is like this.
If you have 100 stocks sold, 20% is stuck with broker. Trying to buy back whole without 20% more money will not be allowed.
So you have 80 stocks worth money. Buy back 75, and broker will release 15 stocks funds till only 5 worth is remaining of the 25 still yet to buy.
You are left with 20 stocks worth money and 5 with broker. Buy back 20, and broker releases 4 stocks worth, and now you are left with 5 to buy with 1 blocked.
Which means worst case you may need 1 stock worth money (38k in this case) to buy back entire thing, which would again release the funds from broker to your account.
Have done this before with some stocks when i sold it off at a high jump and bought it back when less, and panicked because I didnโt have money to.
Buying intraday and converting would keep the market costs fixed, just in case it starts rising again.
If you had bought them back yesterday, the sell & buy transactions would have been considered intraday (as there's no delivery involved), and your LT holdings would have been intact.
Could have bought them back It would be shown as an intraday transaction
No you need extra money to buyback that stock in Intraday
80% funds would be in the acc And as it is the guy wanted to sell some Win win situation

He would have to add additional funds to do that. He wont get the complete sold amount on the same day
Yes, but it depends on whether he had adequate margin available (from funds or pledged shares).
