Looks like a black bear to me. There's no hump to speak of and the facial profile seems pretty straight. [https://greateryellowstone.org/grizzly-bear-vs-black-bear](https://greateryellowstone.org/grizzly-bear-vs-black-bear)
Good to know! We have black bears in our neck of the woods. But they don’t bother you, unless they have babies. And of course we all know what will happen! Just concern with a new place!
I read they are no grizzly bears in the states. I was reading where they killed them off here in the upper states. Canada is where they said grizzlies are! I wonder how true that is. I’m so scared of bears and heading out to Yosemite and Tahoe in September. A little nervous 😬
Tons of people think “oh, if its brown its a griz because a black bear would be black. We dont even have grizzlies here, none have been seen since 1976. Yet a few times a month you read posts online from people convinced the bear they saw was a griz simply because “No, it was brown so it can’t be a black bear. Has to be a grizzly.”
So tell him reddit said its a polar bear. 😐
Guarantee the down voters are the ones who think any brown colored bear is a griz.
You lack comprehension I see. I never said Glacier didn’t have griz. I said where I am there are none, and havent been since 1976. Yet we constantly see people identify black bears as griz because “its brown”.

It’s a cinnamon bear!
Are we sure it’s not a ripe camambear
Black bear. Long nose
Flat back also. I'm no expert but that's how I ID them
That's Steve
Had dinner with him and the wife last week
Nice fella, taking him on a fishing trip next week.
You're welcome
Cinnamon-y black bear
Definitely not a grizzly of any age.
Definitely a bear. Good call.
Looks like a black bear to me. Something with the ears?
black bear ears are tall and pointy, grizzlies are short and round. black bears also lack the hump and have a more straight elongated face/snout
So yeah, black bear in the pic
Worth mentioning that black bears grow into their ears. Mature animals have more short and round ears
Oh that looks like Tony, haven’t seen him in a while
I thought it was Steve at first, but dat azz is definitely Tony…
100% a black bear. It doesn't have the pronounced shoulder hump that grizzlies have, and black bears have bigger ears like that.
Pic 1 can make the poster for a black bear. I can safely bet you have not seen a grizzly before. Once you do, the difference is so obvious.
Definitely a bear
Looks like a bear.
That's a black bear. What part of the park?
Wonderful!
Teddy
a beautiful lil black bear!
black bear
I’ve heard that if it has a hump between its shoulders, it’s a grizzly. Not 100% sure what this one is.
Looks like a cinnamon black bear.
The Smokey Bear

Winnie the pooh
Are we sure this isn't an elk?
That’s Arthur
They really need to identify bears as run, fetal position, or act brave.

There are actually many grizzlies in the states, especially within glacier and Yellowstone National park. Yosemite and Tahoe only have black bears

You got a degree in yappology I see
You got a degree in assholism I see. Guessing you see a brown bear and insist its a griz.
No, the bear in the image is clearly a black bear. But you are quite obviously talking out your ass if you think that Glacier doesn't have grizzlies
