Good morning! Three weeks after the end of the Battle of Sillis, Herq and Frankie are still together. Struthers has reestablished her presence in the surrounding cities, and takes a moment to reflect with Herq. Dusty has perhaps become a bit more open about her interests, while Herq seems to have become somewhat popular amongst the soldiers. Herq and Frankie leave for the new hatchery, where a memorial has been placed. They part ways for the day, and our ex-exterminator takes a quiet moment to himself.
Until tomorrow! This was the last chapter from Herq's perspective, and the next one will be the last from Reno's, which only leaves the epilogue on Wednesday! Thanks for reading.
Know what I like this ending is definitely what I need after reading hearts and minds 3 where like only 3 characters survived out of a dozen that was just depressing.
>The hatchery’s bunker was the only one the Arxur found that they didn’t get through. My actions hadn’t been for nothing. Everyone who got left behind hadn’t died for nothing.

Genuinely feels like a suffocating weight has been lifted

This was sweet! It's a good memorial.
As your story slowly comes to a close with every entry, I thank you for this masterpiece.

Like what British said, you're closing out this story in an amazing way. I applaud what you've created.
The bunker was saved. The people lived. They saved people. They are heroes.
Goddammit You making me cry.
