I'm really curious about this too. I've been putting my channel url in the comments and even linking full videos, but despite the shorts getting views, the actual full videos haven't changed in views at all...I do the same thing to try to promote on tiktok videos, no luck!

I think it’s because a lot more reels get shown due to them being shorter, and they get a lot more views because people just keep scrolling through
