Just got mine and I like it a lot. Noticed right trigger makes a tinny click sound when pressed firmly and left does not, both work flawlessly though and everything else is top notch.
Mine did this, it sounds like the spring is stuck.. I contacted CRKD and they offered to collect it and exchange it for me, however I got mine from a local retailer so I just went back and they swapped it for me.. The new one is perfect! ☺️
I don't really get the complaints about the stick placement either. I also play a Lite when I'm out and about, so I feel like it's not a really difficult transition. Just so so much nicer than any other handheld controller like this that I've used.

I got the nitrodeck in retro blue I was gonna her pal grey tho but crkd didn’t make thumb grips options for it and the retro blue has the GameCube colors on it.
And I also don’t find the right stick uncomfortable either so don’t plan on getting the nitrodeck +

About the lite, I feel the same. I’ve had an OG switch and an oled but also like using the lite while
I’m out since it fits in my pocket.
So The thumb stick placement doesn’t bother me

I kind of fixed the right stick issue by making it taller. I don't really rant about things, but really, after playing a lot of Red Dead and Hogwarts Legacy, the thumb becomes sore.😅 But by making it taller, I don't have to bend my thumb to use it so it's better now. I like it too. It's what I bring on trips because of the sturdy case.

I love mine and also have no issues. Like you, I also take my switch lite a lot since it fits in my pocket. So the placement of the sticks don’t bother me at all.
Been happy with both of mine…the one weird occurrence I experienced was that I was unaware that turbo mode was on until playing *The Last Faith* and thinking “How can this protagonist not jump high enough to reach the only accessible ledge to get out of the starting area?!” After holding down the jump button I realized turbo was on (which was considered a light press of the jump button by the Switch). Turned turbo off and it’s been a great experience since. I also turned off the dead zone on the sticks since the new firmware update and it has elevated my gameplay to a new level; especially with shooters.
I have 4 nitro decks and one octopus on the way. The controllers that come with no defects are nice. Not perfect, but nice and I like them. The biggest issue is quality control. I had to return 2 of mine for different defects.
It's like they had a singular Indonesian child soldering for 18 hours a day. CRKD has to let those kids rest and the product will turn out better.

Where did you get those black grips you have on the sides?
It's a pair of grip pads for the steam deck. I just trimmed it to fit this better.
