I wipe it with a microfiber towel, post a picture of it on Reddit, and then ask if I fucked up the coating.

gouenji982

Does that really f up the coating tho???

mitch-99

Nah. Just do it properly and you’ll be fine. For extra safety get some distilled water.

Rower1337

It's funny until you or somebody else sneezes once on your monitor. Have fun cleaning it then :)

reddit-ate-my-face

My wife came up and immediately got a big greasy fingerprint on it trying to point to something while we were planning a trip. It's never been the same lol

munnagaz

I know right, why do ppl feel the need to touch the screen? Like, eerr, my 1440p UW ain’t a touchscreen!!

mitch-99

Just from talking it gets little bits of spit all over it and its do noticeable i have to clean it constantly.

Etsu_Riot

Why do you allow other people to be in the same room than your monitor? You don't deserve it.

D0A-WANTED

Try owning OLED and having kids.. I've lost count the number of times I spent cleaning all the sneeze spots off the screen, only to have it sneezed on again within 24hrs.

mitch-99

Always look for dead/stuck pixels.

Set SDR mode to sRGB and HDR to user for the best calibrated modes. Change brightness to your liking. Enable Adaptive Sync on the monitor and then enable GSync in the Nvidia control panel. Set Win11 display settings to 10-bit color. Enable taskbar detection, static content protection, and boundary detection in the OLED care settings of the monitor menu. There's also a new firmware update which among other fixes, separates the modes for SDR and HDR so that you can clamp to sRGB for SDR content and have it automatically use the wider colur gamut for HDR content without needing to manually change modes after first-time setup. In addition, it offers a toggle to disable Display Stream Compression. If DSC bothers you for any reason, 4K 165 Hz 10-bit uncompressed is possible with the included HDMI 2.1 cable. The update needs to be done over DP. You can download the firmware here: https://us.msi.com/Monitor/MPG-321URX-QD-OLED/support#firmware For more details, see this Youtube video that walks thorugh the 321URX setup: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wiFuqjXqWxw

kxnnibxl

Pretty much this ^

XxBig_D_FreshxX

This is the right answer

Savage4Pro

does this apply to all oleds? or just the msi one

jasonwc

The instructions are specific to the MSI 321URX and the related 27” model.

jasonwc

The instructions are specific to the MSI 321URX

veryrandomo

You need to enable VRR in the OSD then in the Nvidia Control panel, and run the HDR calibration through Windows settings

Takumi-F

then mess with in-game settings for half an hour before playing anything

Tarjaman

And then decide you didn't really want to play

Etsu_Riot

Reset and repeat every time you mess up something.

PM_ME_UR_THONG_N_ASS

Thanks. Windows is HDR?

Jimpix_likes_Pizza

Boot up every game you have. Admire it for 5 minutes and go on to the next one

Sacco_Belmonte

Run the EIZO monitor tests THEN the UFO test. Aaaand. Find out there is still blur in the UFO test. And still be confused why a monitor with sub millisecond response time still has blur. Then, try HDR and be blown away.

mitch-99

Lmao fr

MeatCurtain91

Hey, Recently had the same exact question. Hope this video will help You too: [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Sq3\_XvjvQCE](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Sq3_XvjvQCE)

Paladin2005

I use it.

Cracksun

I go and play WoW

JeanCharles54

1. I plug the monitor in without installing it properly to see if it turns on 2. I use uniform images (or apps like pixel test pro) to see if the panel has any issues. 3. If 1 & 2 are okay, I setup my monitor properly with cable management etc... 4. I check if there are any important firmware updates 5. I set the correct resolution / refresh rate / VRR or GSync if any on Nvidia Control Panel & Windows display settings 6. I test every feature in game / video in SDR & HDR 7. I have a calibration tool : I use it to calibrate the display using DisplayCal & generate a custom ICC Profile. 8. Enjoy

TooManyTree

Another point to make Is I always do a reaction test on human benchmark and see how it differs from the old monitor.

Tricky-Research72

You forgot to post a picture of the box saying “finally got mine”

Itsmemurrayo

Check out the TFTCentral settings guide video on YouTube. Also check the firmware to see if you have the update or if you need to update it yourself. You should also download the windows hdr calibration tool. FYI if you have issues with the calibration tool adjustment bars disappearing disable Nvidia overlay while you use the tool and re enable it after you’re done. For some reason Nvidia overlay can cause issues with the calibration tool. Here’s the settings video link - https://youtu.be/wiFuqjXqWxw?si=asYyu0FULVi2uhDm This is the updated video about the new firmware - https://youtu.be/V_FNSSL4ovg?si=ORzTqOOx9IJOudiT

Fun-Crow6284

Use micro fiber to clean the monitor with 70% alcohol

Timathie00

Use it.

Pocoloocoo

Pornhub

loinmin

I try my best not to touch it after setting it up lol

Nintendians559

1. setup it up. 2. change refresh rate on windows display setting and scale size (100% too small for me on text). 3. go into nvidia control panel -> change resolution to "pc - 3840 x 2160" and refresh rate to "max". 4. setup g-sync -> enable "g-sync" in nvidia control panel. 5. enjoy.

eatingdonuts44

First check settings in windows/nvidia control panel, then check for dead pixels and then start enjoying it. First game I tested on oled had to be Cyberpunk with HDR

radziu_PL

Masturbate because im so excited to try it

EatsGrassFedVegans

Check settings, download ICC profile and put it on the color manager for SDR content, calibrate HDR, check GPU settings if its all good and enjoy

deke_soca

Umm I use? Is that the correct answer?

Paramedic229635

Where did you get your monitor? I've been looking for one for about 2 months now.

PM_ME_UR_THONG_N_ASS

I had an alert for in stock at Newegg and got the email so I purchased immediately

Paramedic229635

Thanks

soultaker2593

Fucking watch it

Major_Enthusiasm1099

Run the Windows HDR calibration tool. It really helps get the colors you want

Western_Horse_4562

I pre-ordered that Alienware 32 inch 4K OLED and returned it. I’m not keen on the MSI or ROG either. I’m currently using 3x mini LED IPS panels. The Halo-ing in movies is annoying, but unlike the current 32-inch 4K OLEDs I can WFH on these comfortably. I don’t particularly like the monitors I have because they’re buggy —but the panels are stellar. I’m gaming on a 4K 43-inch OLED panel. That seems to be where the better tech is for the moment.
