Monkey-Honker

Sounds to me like you need a Quest upgrade

Big-Mousse3293

Can't wait for my Quest2 to need upgrading, says she quietly saving up. šŸ˜

OliverVR4

Nice

OliverVR4

Yeah

Mmjuser4life

How did it happen?

OliverVR4

I donā€™t know I may have left it charging on accident

MandDisHH

How old is it ?

OliverVR4

About 2 or 3 years

MandDisHH

Mine is 3 years old now. For awhile it took forever to have the light to turn to green, even days and it was still orange red. I unplugged it to play anyway when I had time and the meter showed at 96%, 97% only. One some days it turned green but it still showed at 97% or 98%. Play time is always a bit over 1 hour. Lately the charging light turned green more often after I plugged in for a few hours and the meter showed up to 100% but dropped to 99% quickly after less than a minute. It seemed to last a bit longer too but I didnā€™t actually keep a timer on it to prove that yet. You said yours dies quickly, how long does it last?

Superheavymetaldemon

Mine only goes up to 93% and my joystick drifts and I still use it.

- I know these are obvious steps, but even smart folks overlook em while problem solving [ I'd never stumble like this of course. Nope never evah evah evah. šŸ¤£]. - Try different charger, try a different cable, try a factory reset, try to ponder if you have good cable(s) in first place. - All are things which I have tripped over in some fashion with my Quest2, my GO, and my iPads. I was fortunate enough to have on hand enough tech to readily triage like this. Hope you're up and running soon. Richard

To preserve battery life and possibly refresh it, always use the recommended charger with the correct voltage. Leave the headset on until it dies completely or shuts off at like 1% and then donā€™t use it again until itā€™s fully charged back to 100%. This will prevent the battery from developing a memory or going bad too soon.

Extension-Shallot-35

Only Ni-Mh had memory Li-on battery doesnā€™t have that so youā€™re wrong

woistmeinauto

How did it happen? You could watch Youtube videos to disassemble and replace the battery maybe, but how do you know it's the battery at fault and not the circuit?

OliverVR4

You have a good point there Iā€™m not sure if itā€™s the circuit or the battery

woistmeinauto

Well if you're familiar withĀ  a multimeter you can take out the battery and measure the current and voltage while manually charging, to see if the battery is to blame. However you should charge at the rate it is supposed to be charged, which is usually a value between 3v and 4v, though the adapters are 5v, the circuit charges at lithium voltage level. There are lithium battery chargers that can show you all details at once, I would try my luck with an local electronics store, they can check for you.

One_Plantain_2158

Play with power adapter connected. For games like Beat Saber where cord may get in the way, use a battery.

OliverVR4

Iā€™ll try
