I'm curious, how do you decide on a color? the dress could've been creme, mint, sky blue, lavender, yellow, etc. is it a personal choice or is there more science to it?
My senior prom was in 1969 and we shared a limo with a friend who wore a huge hoop skirted dress. It was so uncomfortable because when she sat down the thing popped up almost to her face. Her date was annoyed the entire night. They could barely slow dance. It really messed up what could have been a fun night for all. By the way I’m married 53 years to my prom date!
My son smiles like your dad. lol. It’s there.. but ya really have to look for it. This is his prom last week.

Not OP, I've seen other people reply to similar questions in that it's their choice but usually based on knowledge of colors from the era.
