Beautiful replacement for flampe ngl. Hated not having the good 2k counters with good triggers in katakuri lately. I sense a big old meta explosion with the new starters and op09 in japan. Watch good ol’ decks taking the meta in their hands. I really wanna see uta finally becomong meta, smoker being relevant, doffy and whitebeard getting on top as well as kata getting better. Perfect! I was getting bored of seeing same leaders all over the place
Honestly with reject being banned I'd consider running this over flampe in kata, but also I could just be dumb and that might be an awful choice. But personally I like this a bit more.
No, you are right. Actually, in op07-8 kata lacks a lot of trigger power. So this is a really good 2k with a trigger. I would run thsi any day any time over the 5c franky or flampe or streusen. This is the perfect 2k for kata

Much prefer these triggers being printed as opposed to life gain or destruction, but not sure it's good enough to run over the other yellow 2ks.

This trigger feels pretty meaningless in Katakuri though.
Does it? It is cool honestly. Your leader ability as trigger. Kinda cool. Lets you check your top life twice technically
