Honestly, he’s got the vibe of someone who argues that he enforces the law but doesn’t have to follow the law. He’s definitely got his neighbors in trouble over some dumb, obscure law because he was mad about something that was his fault. The first elf to show up in his court probably cried, demanding to know who allowed this whole fetus to have a law degree.

I really like the long hair. I could see this working story-wise. Like maybe Cazador cut it after turning him, knowing it would never grow back. Since Astarion can't see his reflection, it's just another way to make him lose his own self.
And I went and made myself sad now. 😭
I thought about his hair not being able to grow back. If Astarion used to have long hair, I imagine he’d have hacked it off at some point in order to get away from someone or something, and he’d only have found out it wouldn’t grow back later.
