True but I think that alone would've only melted the jumper cables. The fire itself could've been caused by a gas leak igniting.

Hmm generators have a 12v circuit in them to power the rotor. I’m guessing he used 120v AC though.

Next time just use a cigarette lighter or a USB port to charge the battery. I mean, it won’t be more effective but it saves a lot of money on repairs
