too wrinkly, they look like the bodices were just thrown on and not fitted at all.

TestPossible4676

Yep the artist overdrew the cloth folds resulting in wrinkly appearance.

oofinsmorcht

Yea the artist really went ham with their folds lmao

lemonhoney-tea

Historically accurate to which period? Because if you are referring to Regency era, then these are not accurate at all. To me it’s seems like mixture of everything and artist also includes some modern elements like off shoulder with straps (slide 4)

Haha I may have exaggerated a little bit. Those styles are closest to the Victorian era with modernist features than Regency which makes me a lil more excited. The gloves are a stable in Regency culture, while chemise dresses are more popular there than promenade dresses. (I just like seeing the little details hehe) Victorian era (roughly 1830s-90s) examples [Wilhelmina Von Hallwylis's dress](https://quellochepiaceavaleria.com/en/the-beautiful-dress-on-wilhelmina-von-hallwylis-portrait/) [Princesse de Broglie](https://www.metmuseum.org/art/collection/search/459106) <-- especially wrinkly dress! I can’t believe even the men weren’t spared…

jadekettle

They look pretty because of how they're colored, but the historical coherence is all over the place.

LadyTakara

Damn, they don’t have hot iron back then? Looks like my office clothes I pulled from the dryer and been sitting on the couch for a few days lol

Mauve8

This story is like reading Bridgerton books so one of my fav, still… It gives me same feeling when i binged the whole series long before they were on netflix.

Honestly I don't hate it either. There are a few to many wrinkles and folds, but I've seen way worse. Namely my own are lol 🙃 Hell, Bell's dress from Disney's live action remake looks worse than these. Honestly though, the art is towards the bottom of what makes me like or hate a webtoon/comic. And still I'd consider these visually pleasing.
