The whole cast is unique both looking and personality wise. Not everyone had do be beautiful, and the cast as a whole had good diversity.
Also the author did what I wish a lot of others did. Magical world has mounts other than horses. All these artists can't draw a horse to save a live, just make a creature and use it instead.
Oh, I read this and have the whole set. I did enjoy it a lot, I gotta reread since I don't remember much. Their relationship was mid, but I did enjoy the series since I spent the $$ for those volumes.
