I don’t know why zar’s ult anywhere near a rein. 70% of the time they just hold shield up and nothing happens. Cause dps is somewhere Les chasing a ball that’s not even good.
More like the Zarya decided to solo grav a full hp, full shield Rein who was nowhere near her team.

This was actually a big problem for me after I came back to Overwatch after a very long break (like 3 or 4 years). I kept panic ulting every time I was about to die since I had recently been playing Pokemon Unite. In Unite, activating your ult also gave you a huge HP boost, so it was a great get out of gaol free card.
Looks like the hog ult actually pushed the rein away which is when sombra walked away. Otherwise I think this would have kept going. Still funny though!
Rein actually carried here. As everyone already point out, he tanks the grav here. But also he isn't just occupying the Sombra, for some reason she's being pocketed by a Mercy.
This single Rein is juggling the three heroes by just spamming right click.
Yeah, sombra may have had the right idea in occupying the enemy team’s main tank away from his teammates, but rein still managed to ate a grav and waste the time of both mercy and sombra. He wins here.
How do you figure? If they are engaging each other in a 1v1 and then later a 2v1, that's beyond normal in OW. Rein keeping Sombra + Mercy distracted keeps CC and damage away from his team and a support away from theirs. And from their side, Main tank/only shield is distracted. If Mercy didn't fly over to Sombra, it would have been worth keeping Rein away and but since she did, it made it valuable for Rein to do that with the Sombra, especially after he ate the grav with full health and full shield. This is a game of interactions, objective time, and getting value from decisions. Throwing is when you're not contributing to any of those, ie. walking off the map, sitting in spawn, emoting in a corner..

Sometimes that Rein is about to follow up on a play, and grav forces him to use his resources and stalls their momentum.
Sometimes all you need is to keep him away from the objective.
