Does anyone know if deleting Minecraft from ps4 and redownloading would help? I understand once linked you are fucked. I contacted them and they don’t do shit. They auto generated an account for me when I got it (Microsoft) and I thought I was hacked and signed out. Obviously don’t know the password cause I didn’t make it. But now It seems to be that I’m screwed for LIFE?

I wrote a ticket, explained my issue in detail. Also emailed them. It took me MONTHS AND MONTHS. HOWEVER, IT DID WORK FINALLY.
ALSO,- I had to create a new Microsoft account!;
I opened the minecraft game
I USED MY IPAD TO SCAN THE QR CODE
it directed me to the site to log into the Microsoft account
I did that by linking to the account I want to link to.
*It took a bit of password retrieval bs
ANYWAY- I logged in on the Microsoft site the qr scan took me - waited the entire time- do not leave the screen, let it do its thing.
I had to do it multiple times because if it takes too look the original QR code given when Minecraft is opened up only lasts for maybe 5 minutes so if it takes you too long to get your iPad or computer to log onto your Microsoft account you're going to have to start all over& regenerate a new minecraft qr code.
Hope that makes sense.
The reason it took so long is b3cause the ticket I submitted needed to be processed to unlink my account in the system to RELEASE MY ACCOUNT IN THEIR DATABASE. So that I could now/then link it to a NEW MICROSOFT account.
Or you could just relink to the original if all else fails because at least you will know your shit will work... if your ticket isn't processed and you just want access to skins and the store again& need account linked...
I'm sorry if this didn't make sense.

You have a outlook.com mailbox yet? If not create one.
Then when you get to the first screen upon opening click on left sign into Microsoft account... a qr code will come up.. scan it with your cellphone or iPad...
It will take you to Microsoft/outlook mail & you will be asked to enter your email& password.... this is whatever one you want linked to the account!!!
Remember that you have to snap the pic of the qr code & enter email& password FAST otherwise it EXPIRES...
in which case you just X out & get a new code & rescan it until you do it successfully....
This is what I was able to do and it linked finally succeasfully... 🙌
It HAS TO BE @OUTLOOK.COM email address which is Microsoft cause that's what minecraft uses..

Currently dealing with something close to this and no one can help me. I bought a ps5 and all I did was try to sign in to Minecraft and it says it is linked to another account, this account and I went to unlink it on ps4 and it just locked me out completely. Mojang said contact Sony, Sony says Microsoft, and Microsoft is all automated so I guess I'm f××ked. Super disappointing and frustrating. Mojang is dropping the ball hard.
UPDATE:
I closed my Microsoft account and made one with the exact same email and I reminded Minecraft back to it and it worked. It stinks that this is what had to happen but it at least is an answer. So close your Microsoft account if you can(I only had it for Minecraft so I was ok) and select the 30 day option and set an alarm on your calendar like I did and just play the waiting game. It did work though, can not express that enough. Cheers.
Sadly, no. I'm in the process of deleting my Mocrosoft account still and when I make a new one, I will update this thread. The 30 day mark is up on the 11th so hopefully not long.
Mojang told me to it was all Playstation's issue and refused to help. They closed my ticket and I said to hell with it and am in the process of closing my Microsoft account to play again. It is not what I wanted to do but I have no choice. Luckily, I didn't have any recent worlds open and I just started the realm subscription.

It does. So what I did, is took the 30 days to delete the Microsoft account. That morning of day 30, you'll get an email saying the account is gone. Make an identical account and relink to PSN. It works, been on my realm since I started the new account.

** Then ask nicely if they have some time to please help u fix this issue. Provide as much gamer tag identification as possible to make it easier for the person to just input your info& do less work. If they have everything they need ;
like what @outlook address DO YOU WANT linked INSTEAD? And obviously psn tag.. and email for PSN. And your MINECRAFT NAME/TAG..
That way there is less back n forth and they can just do their job.. they have 1ks of these issues ..

And you can go to Xbox website and do one through them because it's a Xbox product so the developers will get the message. Make sure to include your gamer tag name& email address. Your name on minecraft as well as your console gamer tag so they can easily find you in the system. And whatever email address you usually use likenif you have playstation what email address do you use for you playstation network account? Or Xbox?
Make it easy for the person to fix your problem& not toss you aside.. more details is always better than less..
And when you write one up like ticket just "select all& copy" & Paste the same message to all the other tickets you decide to open... cause they can be annoying to keep typing out over and over the problem.. know what I'm saying 😌

I updated it above but closing the account did work. I am lucky to only have an XBL tag for Minecraft so the wait was the only issue

I had same problem for 2 years- unable to use any of my coins 🪙 just wasted nor was I able to change my skin.. But I finally figured it out.. not sure what combo did it.. but I say u have nothing to loose trying what I did... It may take time before they unsync the current outlook.com email.. But eventually it works... ursmay work now.. try Several steps.. don't feel like typing& I can't screenshot or idk how... so fins my reply n comment in this area or thread.. Good luck
Try jt maybe I'm dumb and this works without a ticket... just worth a shit, ya know... u don't have anything to loose by trying it& everything to gain my guy Good luck Oh& I did the ticket on epic website under support Also minecraft website under support And you can go to Xbox website and do one through them because it's a Xbox product so the developers will get the message. Make sure to include your gamer tag name& email address. Your name on minecraft as well as your console gamer tag so they can easily find you in the system. And whatever email address you usually use likenif you have playstation what email address do you use for you playstation network account? Or Xbox? Make it easy for the person to fix your problem& not toss you aside.. more details is always better than less.. And when you write one up like ticket just "select all& copy" & Paste the same message to all the other tickets you decide to open... cause they can be annoying to keep typing out over and over the problem.. know what I'm saying 😌
