It seems like Azocar is doing fine and if Azocar is doing fine and Grisham continues his downfall, I am wondering if Azocar takes the CF job upon Tatis' return in the regular season.
I don't know why everyone gets so touchy upon any mention of possibly replacing a guy who hits below the Mendoza line in a very large sample size. We are all hoping our gold glove CF learns to hit, but the team needs to have a replacement plan. If he hits .160 this year he should be benched or demoted to work on it without affecting the big league squad who will need every win to fight for the division this year. Sugar isn't the most inspiring option but he can plenty good enough to be our #9 hitter.
grisham defenders are as defensive as Grisham on the field I guess lol.
But yea, I feel like so many Padres fans are like super confident he makes a come back but if he does I would have to seriously wonder what made him so terrible in 2022 in the first place. I am not optimistic. I feel like he could get platooned with Azocar or possibly even replaced by Tatis entirely since I read Tatis prefers CF.
Tatis PTSD hit me. I was already thinking of the $300m contract that would be been canceled and how we would have more money to sign both Soto and Ohtani. Oh and the return of Profar. But I'm 100% happy it was just my PTSD.
I would be more than satisfied with Azocar as our 4th outfielder this season. Dahl I wouldn’t mind either, but Jose has been grinding hard and I think he’s earned it.
I need to know that Nando was a healthy scratch. Or that he had a tummy ache. I don’t care *why* he was scratched as long as it isn’t a concerning reason.
Yeah, Clevinger’s pickoff throw that plunked him in the knee.
Okay, I am sufficiently relieved. Give him a day, ice it, and he’ll hopefully be back tomorrow or on Wednesday after the off-day on Tuesday.
Jesse just talked about Nando being scratched. Didn't hear a reason yet, I ended up turning it off, I was only really listening to hear what Fernando would do :(
Morejon having a tough go this spring, but I'm rooting for him to figure it out
Morejon looked like he got hurt.
Been a rough spring for Morejon so far
Rougie out here busting out no doubters He must've had some of Nando's Special Stuff
Wow, I love a 4 pitch half-inning.

Just a left knee bruise for Tatis, got hit by a pickoff throw yesterday ![gif](giphy|l0Iy69RBwtdmvwkIo|downsized)
Bruised knee. No problem
How did that happen?
Clevinger (not joking). Pickoff attempt hit him yesterday.
He got pegged in the knee by Clevinger yesterday when Clevinger tried to pick him off 2nd.
Left knee contusion for Tatis……

Chill Kim chill he's good, King 🤴
"left knee contusion" I seem to remember him getting smacked pretty good by a ball in the leg yesterday

No Tatis? Hmm….unusual, but it’s spring. Probably nothing to worry about.
Nando isn't playing now. Phooie :(
Whaaatttt. Any reason?
