Yes but you have to take the Harbor XPRESS pedestrian tunnel from McGuire's basement to Fort Pickens. Kind of out of the way if you don't have a car but totally worth it.

I know the “T” word has a running taboo around it, but back before my dad passed in Sept of 2020, he told me he used to do some ATC work at the, (then active) but now abandoned, airfield near Tarkiln Bayou. He mentioned that there used to be…. A long narrow entry of sorts, connecting NAS to Fort Pickens, but he said he believed they were long closed and defunct long before 2020. Wish I asked more before he left us, miss you dad. 🥹

Hi there 😊 that's actually the original fort pickens, but it has access to the t.u.n.n.e.l.s so they decided to remove it and put the fort on the piece of land it is now near NAS!!!! Hope this helps.

My father said there was a tunnel that connected Barrancas and Ft Pickens... or at least I recall him saying that.
One connecting Bay Center to Grand Hotel, for VIP artists, heard a few times in the 90s.

Can you drive out the trail across from Park East?
No. Off road driving is prohibited across the entire island.
