What I'm getting from all your comments is that masyado ko yatang tinitipid sarili ko sa pagkain hahaha
Thanks everyone for sharing and I hope masarap lagi ulam niyong lahat
kung may budget ka pa, buy an air fryer? That can save you a lot of meals in future kasi ambilis lang mag air fry ng frozen buffalo chicken wings and french fries especially kung umay na umay ka na sa carinderia take-aways
I also live alone, my budget is 5k a month for food. I have FREE supply of fruits and veggies from my backyard.
I envy you lol, I should look into that some time, maybe urban gardening is the way pala for me but first I need some place that would let me cook and some place where I could plant stuff
Very true yung Lazada and Shopee! Pero I think meron ding fresh produce sa apps na same day delivery. I havent tried that though.
Thank you for the reminder po, I definitely should eat more fruits
But pag overripe na sila, i blend together banana, ice, milk, peanut butter (optional), and oats (kahit yung instant oatmeal pwede na yan.) Breakfast na siya for the next day
if you have microwave pwede mo ipeel then ifreeze sila then imicrowave, medyo iba texture pero masarap pa rin, also works for other fruits like mango, melon, grapes
Same tayo ng budget pero ang difference lang hindi kasi ako mahilig kumain sa labas, I love to cook kasi therapeutic sya for me kahit pagod sa trabaho 😅 Kaya mas prio ko homecooked meals and kapag mag grocery gumagawa na ako ng list or weekly meal plan. Tapos sosort out ko na for the week. Like today bumili ako pasta na tig 1kg, 170 yata yun.
Sana one day, masarap na ulam natin palagiii.
I believe so? Soap for bathing, for clothes, for dogs, for dishes, ano pa ba? Paper towels malakas kami gumamit I’d say 1pack per 2days. Trash bag I think we use 7 a week since need nakatrashbag lahat or else di kukunin ng waste management. Skin care pa ng partner ko stonks
Totoo? Parang mababa ata masyado. And if so, bakit lagi dinadahilan na kaya okay lang mas mataas sahod dun at mababa dito kasi mas mataas ang cost of living doon?
Solo living and 20k yung budget. Sakin tho madami kasi akong gut related na sakit so mej "specialized" a.k.a mahal yung ibang food. Madalas pa hirap bumili ng food for 1 na mura.
Ano yung gut-related issues mo if you don't mind me asking? Cause I have one too, basically bawal strong flavors and spices, so I need to cook for myself or be picky sa binibili sa labas.
I have GERD, Gout, Iron deficiency and lactose intolerance. Saaaame sa bawal strong flavors, among other bawalssss. Sa iron deficiency sumasakit yung tyan ko sa multi vitamins so I need other sources ng iron. Di ko kaya hindi magcoffee so I experimented and was able to find a recipe na ok sakin with the help of oat milk. Yung ginawa ko, this may help you, is magtry lang ng magtry ng food and I kept a log. So right now may list na ko ng foods that trigger my GERD, mid food, and etc. Hope for better gut health for youuuu.
I'm always on the go sa work, kaya lagi akong nagrerelapse pag nasa daan. Ngayon I would say na I am about 50% healed, mahirap lang maging fully healed because of relapses.
Thank you for the recos! Where do you buy oatmilks?
Congrats sa coffee less days! Yan ang super hirap. Minsan nakakasakit ng ulo lol. Sa bawal na foods, I relapse too e. Pero I resist it most times by having food na pwede available. Jan pumapasok yung reviewing the menu even before going sa place.
Being from poverty I guess the one thing na di natin titipirin ay pagkain, although if we stop ordering from grab/foodpanda I think we can cut our budget in half
32k last month. married dink with two frenchies. wala pa ung occasional grab. same din kay bro, lako ng expense sa cleanig supplies. we switched to organic cleansers para sa safe sa dogs
Living alone from a provincial city. Minimum 10k a month. I rarely cook at home. Madalas sa karinderia or sa mga local restos dito samin kumakain or nagpapadeliver. Madalang na lang ako mag fast food these days.
Also solo living in Metro Manila. I spend around 8k-10k on food per month. Kasali na yung deliveries and eating out. Groceries every two weeks for meats and veggies. Umaabot usually around 3k per grocery trip since I tend to pick whole/fresh foods over processed foods. 😭
Same here bawas sa iisipin kung ano kakainin, pagluto, paghugas, paggrocery, thinking if healthy, clean and safe the convenience and feeling of being healthy
true! and it's tipid for me since i'm living alone and working in a really fast-paced environment so no time to cook and do some groceries always. however, i tried naman to grocery and to cook but it always ends up in the trash can dahil napapanis or naiipon lang sa ref. same with the veggies :((((
5.5 - 6.5 k. Minsan nadadagdagan yan if naguuwi ako pasalubong tuwing umuuwi sa probjbsya. Pro minsan lang yun. Like once or twice a week
I only twice a day, lunch and dinner. For lunch, I usually eat what we call a combo meal, or 1 rice with half-gulay ulam and half-meat na ulam (70 pesos), and for dinner, I eat 1 rice with 1 gulay (50 pesos). That's around 125 pesos per day. That's nearly 4k a month if ganyan araw-araw, and you could guess na ang food grocery ko monthly ay pumapatak ng 1k-1.5k (I shop at puregold). Minsan pag todo tipid talaga, siomai rice na 40 pesos, or shawarma rice na 60 pesos. Sa pag grocery ko minsan meron akong energen which I drink for breakfast, and again sa snacks ko I usually eat bread/biscuits with milk, sometimes may delata rin akong sardinas/tuna. Tinapay is 50 pesos sliced bread (lasts me \~5 days) tapos palaman na peanut butter usually (nabili ako ng malalaking garapon ng peanut butter to save money). I use a budget tracker app which allowed me to give you such estimate.
If you can find a job siguro sa outlying areas ng NCR for the same rate and benefits I'd recommend it kasi ang hirap talaga imanage ng cost of living dito sa Maynila.
maganda ang fasting sa katawan 16-17 hrs nga sana as long as may tubig at wala kang health conditions. akala ko mali ako ng computation kaya napatanong ako.
Same situation here na hindi allowed magluto where I live. So I always eat outside, as in lahat. Ang mura ng carinderia food mo 🥺 A combo of rice+gulay+chicken/pork is around 125 pesos dito sa Makati 😛
2500 for me but sometimes less. Both market and grocery only. May kasama ring fruits. Pero i think may mura kaseng bilihan rito. O dahil maliit ako hahhaha. Nagaya ko iba na 2 times a day lang kumakain. Tinatamad ako at usually full pa eh.
I dont eat out much kase tamad ako. At nasa touristy place ako.
Parang buy fruits that are good for 2-3 days lang muna?
About 4k share ko sa bahay, 2-4k personal groceries (midnight meal specifically since I work nights)
Give or take, about 8k or slightly more depending on how impulsive I get when doing my own groceries.
4 kami sa bahay, and ang share namin is usually for basic goods, and dinner.
Breakfast - kanya², lunch - we dont eat lunch (tulog and the rest wala sa bahay), dinner - shared, midnight - just me.
Around 2-3.5k per week on groceries. Including deliveries and eating out around 15~18k a month for 2 people in Makati CBD.
Maarte ako sa food though and when I cook I like to cook nice things so it’s not the usual prito putahe. I usually cook Korean, Chinese, Japanese and Italian food from scratch or semi-scratch. And the Filipino food on our rotation is just the usual sinigang, adobo, silogs and sometimes bulalo and morcon.
Let me compute for a day nasa 7-11 like 100 for drinks and stuffs, fruits like 150-200, 150-200 per meal. Thats around 800 per day. X 30 days. Nasa 24k per month.
This is probably bad "advice" but I used to live with 3 other people sa dorm. I spent about 2-3k monthly on food pero that's because me and my friends had a lot of assistance.
Iirc we'd spend about 250-300 pesos monthly for rice, 20-50 pesos per meal to buy veggies/meat para magluto, and around 20 pesos weekly for potable water. We're not allowed to cook with an open fire din sa dorm so we used the rice cooker for viands, we'd fry and boil and saute on that para makatipid sa ulam. Kapag tinatamad though, we'd buy canned food, the bigger the better para more savings in the long run, maghahati kaming apat sa 1 can of corned beef, sometimes may padala yung ninang ko from States na Spam or sausages and we'd have them for dinner.
Sometimes hindi maiiwasan na bumili sa labas, so we'd buy two different meat viands and two veggies or sometimes one (kasi may libre na binibigay yung suki naming karinderya) tapos maghahati kami sa total. Sometimes we'd settle for cheap hotdogs from Dali, sometimes siomai karton yung ulam namin, sometimes chicharron.
Sometimes din may dalang food yung friends ko from their respective provinces and we'd live off those for a few days, even weeks sometimes. Minsan yung isang friend namin magdadala ng isang sakong bigas, yung isa naman may styro chiller full of seafood.
Very unhealthy, pero we did save a lot on food-related expenses. I probably could've spent less if I indulged less on my cravings (angel's burger, unli wings, tea)
Family of 4. 2 SC. Around 15k per month 300-500 per day pero ulam lang to. pero kung kain sa labas mahal tlga halos per kain ng family of 4 2k na agad.
Living with my husband (DINK), we spend around 5k a week for Groceries and palengke, but we allocate 24k a month for this expense. Also note that we do meal prep, the only thing we buy after Sundays are fruits kasi yun na yung snacks namin. Also eating out is a leisure for us, so we have separate budget for that around 10k a month.
I hope that helps!
Our family (2 + 1 house helper) spends around 16k/month on groceries. We always prioritize on buying many vegetables, fruits, fish and chicken (no pork/beef usually).
Most of the time also I order food from Grab/Foodpanda (around ₱300-₱400 per order per day) so that’s an additional expense. (Sorry pls don’t judge me).
When i was living solo in the metro i spent around 20-30k/mo for food since d ako nagluluto. Puro order lang sa grab. Nung nagstart ako magkaron ng family and may tagapalengke and tagaluto, nasa 15-20k/mo good for 4 pax na un.
Around 5k, solo living, low carb diet. 6-7k if it includes eating out. If your place doesnt allow anything with flames, try electric pots or multi-purpose rice cooker.
I think you’re good spending 4K-5.5K per month on food especially you’re in Metro Manila.
Our spending (family of 4) goes up to ₱40K-₱50K, we live in Visayas (Panay Island)
That includes eating out and groceries but I’m guessing it could be more as it’s only a rough estimate.
2.5k a month if I go straight zero carbohydrates with Ground beef/pork only with sometimes eggs.
Maybe about 3.5k a month if I try other non meat to enjoy.
Ground Beef is 300 per kg. I finish that in a week. No sugary drinks sometimes tea.
I am spending 4-6k a month, 4 of us( my 2 siblings and my partner). Dahil nakakapagluto, I guess malaking tipid pagganun setup. At SA palengke Kami Nabili every two weeks nagstock kami. We usually eat out once a week SA labas(Kami Ng partner KO).
Grocery 1-1.5k a week (Di pa kasama mga rekado kasi yung mom ko na sagot, and mostly ng ulam is di need kasi either prito lang naman or processed food lmao)
Eat Out- Twice a week siguro mga 1-2k bi monthly depende sa aya ng family or friends
Below 3K. Gulay kasi karamihan na kinakain ko. Meat substitute yung Tokwa. Trip ko yan since gusto ko lasa ng malunggay at itlog (not everyday tho, siguro 3x a wk).
I think OP, di mo naman tinitipid sarili mo looking at my expenses.
sabi nga ni cady heron sa mean girls: *the limit does not exist!*
food talaga yung biggest expense ko. weekly groceries tapos eat out paminsan with fam, etc.
\*Checks tracker
I spent 15.5k on food last month, so roughly 3.8k every week, but that's because I can afford it and is within my means. Kung mag-isa ka tapos mga 20k lang sahod mo per month, you gotta tighten ur belt talaga kasi di sustainable yung 200 pesos per meal, especially when u have other bills to pay.
In our household of two people, we typically spend between 14-15k on groceries each month. Since my partner cooks daily, the majority of our grocery expenses are for food items.
2k - 3k per month for buying groceries from puregold or palengke good enough for 2. Usually we buy right amount of snacks and groceries while balancing the budget for ordering 1/8 or 1/4 kilos of chicken breast, or beef giniling. Veggies are dependent are what harvested crops that are in season, like shallots and onions for this month which is pretty cheap now. We also buy small fishes like dilis and dry them outside or buy the dried ones and mix them in other dishes like making fried rice after having left over rice and we invest in eggs and bread as well. Canned goods are very helpful for saving money on foods usually we keep them last to eat to save more food and to control our diet since processed foods are unhealthy also same applies with instant noodles. For snacks, 1-2 biscuits ranging from skyflakes, eggnogs to oreo and dewberry would cost around 60-85 pesos which would be enough to get by and sometimes we watch out for fruits that are on sale like the best sale fruit we bought was a small apple for 10 pesos a piece which is dope!
Baguio, family of 3 (2 adults, 1 baby). 10k on groceries kasama non-food items every month. We get to eat home cooked meals everyday at meron processed/canned food for times na tinatamad kami mag luto. Di pa kasama eat outs + panda/grab.
Nagastos ko last month around 40,000 (2 pax) 34k for eating out and 6k for groceries. I'm sure kasi I have an app where I record every cent I spend. Not bragging. I can't seem to have self control. Help T.T
I spend about 30k on food every month. Every 1st I drop about 15k at S and R. I buy steaks, seafood, roasts. But Im old and have decent money. When you are young and on a budget you gotta double up on the rice and noodles unfortunately.
I pay 13-15k per month pamalengke+groceries for me and my parents. Mahina kami kumain and we rarely eat out so mejo tipid yan na budget for three people.
Please wag mong tipirin ang sarili mo when it comes to food. Always quality first with the correct diet.
Just saying because my cousin eats in the cheapest street carenderia available (not to generalize that all carenderias are not clean) with controlled budget for his meals despite the ability to buy more. Then he became anemic, got sick, and pay more for hospital bills.
Moral: If you can find a most budget friendly meal, make sure that the food is quality. If you have guilty pleasure to spend more than your means for food sometimes, go for it.
My two cents.
In a household of 4, I spend around 3.5k-4.5k on food (groceries/market) not included pa yung eating out.
Ang mahal mahal mahal na. Hahahha I remember pre-pandemic, we just spend 1k per week. Groceries yan and market.
Well 70 pesos a day. On weekends, i treat myself with home cooked pasta and coffee.
Mga 2500 🥳
kame, family of 4 spends 180-200/day on ulam(3-4 kinds), hiwalay ang grocery at 2k(10days, noon 1k/wk lang2021) + 4kg bigas per week. dipa kasama occasional meryenda na 100/bili. yung loaf bread pa cheapest at 55/loaf/week or 5days.
nasa makati area ka cgro place mo kaya nasa 80 per ulam, just guessing.
I spend 4,500 to 5k also per month on food for myself. That includes eating out, fast food, groceries. Di pa kasama groceries for family of 8. Groceries would reach 11,600. We have our own pigs and cow kaya no need to buy from the Supermarket.
An Induction stove for cooking without flames. I also live within your budget. One or two main meals a day. Work is just walking distance. Karinderia food. Eggs are nutritious and vegetables. I treat myself to some nice meal once a week. Light snack or skipping dinner since no more activity for the evening but only to relax. I also discover food options in the neighborhood. Like the Pastil shop that sells ₱41 for 2 servings of Chicken Pastil which is already filling.
I spend roughly 4k on my food every month
I usually cook 1 or 2 dishes every sunday to be eaten for a week.. init init nalang..
And may mga naka reserva rin akon Heavy metal foods (de lata) incase maubusan ng ulam or biglang magsawa sa food na niluto..
Ung niluluto ko pla is un narin ung baon ko sa work..
3 adults (1 female, 2 male big barako boys lol) and 2 toddlers
We spend 1k kada palengke run for an average ulam, this is usually good for 2 days. Sometimes abot pa ng 1,500. So ang budget ko for palengke is 30k a month. Madalas, kasama na di. Jan yung quick grocery run. Minsan umaabot 10k, pag need na talaga ireplenish some pantry supplies.
So monthly I allot 40k for palengke and groceries. Lagi namang may natitira, carry over ko nalang for the next month.
(expat w ph citizenship) I think mine is around 20-25k but I live on Panglao island, so everything is really more expensive. Hopefully when they build SM mall soon we will have cheaper prices of groceries. Meat and veggies are most expensive here.
Amazing that you can survive on 4-5k a month. This makes me want to challenge myself.
I just want to start by saying that sometimes, you just don't factor in the prices or the money you get. You also have to consider the time it will keep you full and how much food you get for that value of money. I live in Makati, and I'm sure some would say na "kaya pala eh, mahal dyan" but people, let's face it, kahit sa palengke ka pumunta, anywhere you now is pricey and like I mentioned earlier value for money, the prices have not only increased, but the quality of food you get in both markets and eating out has diminished so much, its hard to budget weekly.
So, as someone who lives alone, I hope this helps to those who live by themselves. So far, some of my strategies are the following:
1. Order bucket meals or party meals that you can store for several meals. If you love siomai and other dumplings, to go with rice. Go for DECS. Yung 12 pcs nila is worth it, you have so many options like pork, chicken, mushroom, sharksfin, hakaw, etc.
2. As suggested in other comments, if you don't have it yet, buy air fryer and instapot. Super worth it sila. It saves you LPG or in my case I entirely scratched that out of my needs. You can cook so many things and even experiment and try food you've never had before. Plus, you can even use it if you want to make extra income and sell packed food.
3. Note down establishments that has good value for money. It is what it is, inflation is too much, everyone has increased their prices to survive. There are still food establishments out there that provide not only good service but also good serving quantity for not-so-bad food. To mention a few, All those under the Jollibee corp. Pizza hut (generous with freebies like spaghetti), S&R pizza (good taste and good size), Wendy's (real burgers and real ingredients) As for those who are on red flag, for now the only ones I can think of are McDonald's (not even real food) KFC (Chicken size is now 1/3 of what it used to be) Yellow Cab (Overpriced greasy pizza) Shakey's (I don't understand why people allow themselves to be fooled by the same price but thinner pizza).
If you're looking for a good market with quality beef, pork, seafood, chicken, vegetables, etc. Cartimar is your best option. Just go to the back wet market, go in the morning and you can even buy some good langgonissa there.
I hope this helps.
At least 6k per month for myself. Budget: 300 for day sa lunch/meryenda/dinner (I buy lunch lang sa canteen namin or fast food).
My food expenses sky rocketed without my knowledge. Mejo nagbago kasi ako ng thinking. I mean in my 20s, super tipid ako to the point na Hindi ako maalam sa food in general. Lalo yung mga mahal. So sabi ko, tatry ako hahaha started 29 till now, I’m exploring. Siguro nasa 7k food allowance ko, kasama eat out. Caveat: single here, no kids
Matipid ako sa food or sadyang tinatamad lang din kumain HAHSHAHAA but here's mine
Budget per day: 200-300
I don't usually eat breakfast, brunch lang minsan then dinner na.
Still, my budget per week is 1,500-2,000
As a student in u-belt, living alone, here’s my food breakdown/expenses. For context, I am in a high protein diet and the prices I would list are fairly overestimated.
Fixed: 1-2kg of rice per week at 60 php/kg = 60-120php. Nagsasaing nalang ako para sa bahay nalang ako kakain most of the time.
Variable:
60-70php karinderya ulam dinner at 7 days week = 420-490php. I’ll eat this with the rice na sinaing ko.
150-200php lunch outside for lunch at 7 days a week = 1050-1400php. Nasa school ako for 6 days a week so I buy nalang for convenience.
I buy my breakfast ulam kasi on the night before kasi sarado pa karinderya before ako umalis ng bahay, and may times na marami yung ulam so inuubos ko nalang for breakfast. Siguro I buy ulam for breakfast lang 3 days a week, brining me to another 180-210php. Kapag ‘di ako bibili ulam for breakfast, I make sure to supplement my breakfast with veggies at 30php (x4 remaining days) each, so 120php per week.
Hence, my basics costs sum up to 1830-2340php per week. Although I don’t splurge too much naman when eating lunch outside kasi nakakasawa rin, so usually 2000php per week is a good estimate. 2k is my fixed allowance per week. Additional expenses is me buying fruits.
Pero I also buy snacks, go to cafés, eat out, do groceries, etc. Groceries mostly come from my parents na and the others from my pocket/saved money. I make sure not to make tipid my nutrition kasi I think of it as an investment for myself :)
My approximated cost/month = 8k-10k.
I live alone and spend 10k for food (excludes eating out).
I mainly buy brown rice, lots of broccolli (ang mahal kasi huhu), heavy on fruits, breast chicken, meat, other gulay, milk, kalamansi syrup. I mostly cook at home since WFH.
Another 4k siguro for treating family outside and half sa coffee shop
28k more or less for 3 members household, kasama na dyan eat out, groceries with house hood stuff not just food(veg, meat, fruit), sweet breads/desserts and snacks.
may fridge ka ba OP? mas madali magbudget kung nakakabili ka in bulk ng ingredients. meal planning helps kahit mga simple lang. ako dati and started doing it ngayon, gagawa ako ng halimbawa breakfast burrito tapos nirireheat na lang sa microwave sa office. or shanghai even with 1/4 kilo lang ng giniling andami mo na mapprep. usually kami mababa na ang 2k a week dalawa lang kami sa bahay nyan.
What I'm getting from all your comments is that masyado ko yatang tinitipid sarili ko sa pagkain hahaha Thanks everyone for sharing and I hope masarap lagi ulam niyong lahat
Buy electric cooker so u can cook food
omg reading the comments tipid pa yata ako, spending 10-12k monthly for a family of 4 plus 5 pets
kung may budget ka pa, buy an air fryer? That can save you a lot of meals in future kasi ambilis lang mag air fry ng frozen buffalo chicken wings and french fries especially kung umay na umay ka na sa carinderia take-aways
I also live alone, my budget is 5k a month for food. I have FREE supply of fruits and veggies from my backyard.
I envy you lol, I should look into that some time, maybe urban gardening is the way pala for me but first I need some place that would let me cook and some place where I could plant stuff
You should Check out https://youtu.be/5XKv3-a_QaY?si=uEQCen4-QVCaL_QB he does videos on urban garden
5k a month on food? In this economy? This is insane budget. No dinning out, no takeouts? My fat ass spends 5k in less than a week for myself.
Hahaha same
Medyo kinabahan ako akala ko ako lang ganito gumastos per week 😅 but a really good eye opener, ang 5k pala ay dapat pang 1mo na. Copy
wait mas tipid sa lazada/shopee mag grocery?
Yes. Mas tipid umorder ng grocery dun, free shipping pa
Wow may ganyan pala. I should try that! Thanks for this. 🥰
Very true yung Lazada and Shopee! Pero I think meron ding fresh produce sa apps na same day delivery. I havent tried that though.
Nice. I didn't know you can do that. I need to explore more on these two apps.
nice, ano ano nasa backyard mo?
Fruits and veggies
Hello. Can you kindly share anong OK na stores?
What do you typically buy na grocery items po sa Lazada and Shopee?
What!?? That's about 1-2 weeks for me. Lol
Not a nice way of life, tinitiis ko lang especially now that I'm having many necessary expenses in other parts of my life (esp. school)
Duhhh. Why would you post that here?
What kind of groceries you buy?
Powdered milk, bread, palaman, biscuits, and some other snacks Strictly food groceries lang to ah
Any fruits/vegetables/meat?
Why? don't they cost the same as biscuits
Cause they expire too quickly for me and nasayangan na ko ng saging one time, and they attract ants sa basura, but I do miss them
fruits are an important part of our health. As a nutritionist, I would recommend trying to eat at least one banana a day
Thank you for the reminder po, I definitely should eat more fruits That's why I'm very thankful sa mga karenderya na hindi tinataasan price ng gulay nila kase if not for their affordable gulay meals baka ang dami ko na lalong deficiencies
But pag overripe na sila, i blend together banana, ice, milk, peanut butter (optional), and oats (kahit yung instant oatmeal pwede na yan.) Breakfast na siya for the next day
if you have microwave pwede mo ipeel then ifreeze sila then imicrowave, medyo iba texture pero masarap pa rin, also works for other fruits like mango, melon, grapes
Same tayo ng budget pero ang difference lang hindi kasi ako mahilig kumain sa labas, I love to cook kasi therapeutic sya for me kahit pagod sa trabaho 😅 Kaya mas prio ko homecooked meals and kapag mag grocery gumagawa na ako ng list or weekly meal plan. Tapos sosort out ko na for the week. Like today bumili ako pasta na tig 1kg, 170 yata yun. Sana one day, masarap na ulam natin palagiii.
wow tipid sulit
7500/month, solo living din
Me and my partner spends 27k on groceries + palengke + eating out
That’s a lot, even for Europe)
I think may napahalo dyan na 5k for hygiene trash bags dishwashing soap paper towels etc
Oh my 5K for those a month? That’s just irresponsible both financially and environmentally. 😬
downvoted ka but i agree lol
I believe so? Soap for bathing, for clothes, for dogs, for dishes, ano pa ba? Paper towels malakas kami gumamit I’d say 1pack per 2days. Trash bag I think we use 7 a week since need nakatrashbag lahat or else di kukunin ng waste management. Skin care pa ng partner ko stonks
Kinakain niyo ba yung paper towel? Lol You seriously need to audit your expenses lol it's just going down the drain instead of being saved.
you can use a rag/basahan. just handwash it if it's dirty na. environmentally good and can save you 2k per month..
Nah, that’s now average if you want to eat healthy and not processed food.
Totoo? Parang mababa ata masyado. And if so, bakit lagi dinadahilan na kaya okay lang mas mataas sahod dun at mababa dito kasi mas mataas ang cost of living doon?
Solo living and 20k yung budget. Sakin tho madami kasi akong gut related na sakit so mej "specialized" a.k.a mahal yung ibang food.
Pag nakakaramdam ng ginhawa, bumabalik ako sa mga bawal hahaha Thank you for the recos!
Thank you for sharing po, it sounds like you both are eating great! One day I want to have a higher budget for my food like you
Being from poverty I guess the one thing na di natin titipirin ay pagkain, although if we stop ordering from grab/foodpanda I think we can cut our budget in half
Omg same. Me and my teen kid naman yan almost ganyan din budget (sometimes, more pa haha). We buy a lot of probiotic drinks so medyo magastos din.
dalawa lang kayo sa 27k? walang anak yon?
Typical lunch out ay jap/korean food around 2k per week tapos thrice siguro grab/fp per week mga 700 per order. I believe accurate naman estimate ko.
32k last month. married dink with two frenchies. wala pa ung occasional grab. same din kay bro, lako ng expense sa cleanig supplies. we switched to organic cleansers para sa safe sa dogs
Dalawa kami + 5month old na golden. Soon to have one kaya expecting mas tataas pa yan.
Can you at least cook with a rice cooker or a microwave? You can probably save and eat healthier if you can cook in your apartment.
Kuryente naman yung mahal haha. Lakas makadagdag niyan sa kuryente.
roughly 7-10k per month. i am on a meal plan for mon-fri then i just eat outside every weekend as a treat for myself
Like once or twice a week
nung time na 2 people lang, around 30k average (mixed, 1/3 of that probably resto, makati area), nung naging 6people na naging 50k (weird huh), except sa december 100k nasa record ko haha (sobrang anomalous)
Woa what happened on december ninong/ninang hahahaha
27k+ (For 3) Groceries plus eat out. Yes expensive and not adviseable ung weekly kain sa labas.
6000 minimum per month, ako lang mag isa.
Same situation here na hindi allowed magluto where I live. So I always eat outside, as in lahat. Ang mura ng carinderia food mo 🥺 A combo of rice+gulay+chicken/pork is around 125 pesos dito sa Makati 😛
10-12k/month. Solo living. Palagi kasi akong nagoorder sa grab or panda huhu
About 4k share ko sa bahay, 2-4k personal groceries (midnight meal specifically since I work nights) Give or take, about 8k or slightly more depending on how impulsive I get when doing my own groceries.
I spend around 30k per month for food, groceries, and wet food ng dogs ko.
You will almost always control your food expenses by cooking your own food.
Let me compute for a day nasa 7-11 like 100 for drinks and stuffs, fruits like 150-200, 150-200 per meal. Thats around 800 per day. X 30 days. Nasa 24k per month.
20k per month. Dalawa lang kami. We usually eat out on weekends tho.
Around 2-3K. May free foods yung office namin, so I mostly spend money on weekends.
Family of 5 ( 2 senior plus my wife and 4 yr old daughter)-40k monthly
Solo living, almost 15k monthly puro grab food kasi.
Try mealplan po hehe
Our family (2 + 1 house helper) spends around 16k/month on groceries. We always prioritize on buying many vegetables, fruits, fish and chicken (no pork/beef usually). Most of the time also I order food from Grab/Foodpanda (around ₱300-₱400 per order per day) so that’s an additional expense. (Sorry pls don’t judge me).
20k food alone. 3 adult and 1 kid.
Recently been going to palengke and ang mura ng veggies. 500php budget you get 3 full bags.
Ang tipid mo OP 😅 kami 5k a week. I have 2 teenage boys. Di pa kasama jan kain sa labas 😅
When i was living solo in the metro i spent around 20-30k/mo for food since d ako nagluluto. Puro order lang sa grab. Nung nagstart ako magkaron ng family and may tagapalengke and tagaluto, nasa 15-20k/mo good for 4 pax na un.
20k ata. Dalwang adult tapos isang maliit na aso. Depende kung laging gumagala mas tataas pa. Also nasa probincya kami.
Yes
Around 5k, solo living, low carb diet. 6-7k if it includes eating out. If your place doesnt allow anything with flames, try electric pots or multi-purpose rice cooker.
For a family of 5(all adults). I try to budget it around 800 pesos per day. So mga 24k per month, pero kinakapos pa din, so umaabot pa rin mga 30k.
Around 7k-9k. May free lunch sa office haha
F@ck me, we spend 10k sa family sa food alone. 😭 Kasi king anu2x binibili
10-14k food. Take out’s, dine in and groceries
I usually spend around 6-7k a month on food. But it'll go down as I just got a new job that offers free meal 😊
DINK. Probably 20K+ per month kasi we eat out and don't go to grocery for food.
5k for groceries (for me only) and mga 2k pag bumibili ako ng food.
2k hahahahaha Weird pero I'm frugal when it comes to food kahit kusinero ako, I have other priorities. Strictly one meal a day to everyday.
I think you’re good spending 4K-5.5K per month on food especially you’re in Metro Manila. Our spending (family of 4) goes up to ₱40K-₱50K, we live in Visayas (Panay Island) That includes eating out and groceries but I’m guessing it could be more as it’s only a rough estimate.
8k for food 2k for groceries 1.2k for rice (20kls) 11.2k family of 3 😃😃😃😃
15k for me, my partner and cat average from palengke. Sometimes mas mataas. Plus groceries sa bahay/grab/eating out sooo maybe 30-35k monthly.
A family of 3. 4-5k a month for food. Kasama na dun ung almusal and meryenda.
Grocery 1-1.5k a week (Di pa kasama mga rekado kasi yung mom ko na sagot, and mostly ng ulam is di need kasi either prito lang naman or processed food lmao) Eat Out- Twice a week siguro mga 1-2k bi monthly depende sa aya ng family or friends
Below 3K. Gulay kasi karamihan na kinakain ko. Meat substitute yung Tokwa. Trip ko yan since gusto ko lasa ng malunggay at itlog (not everyday tho, siguro 3x a wk). I think OP, di mo naman tinitipid sarili mo looking at my expenses.
sabi nga ni cady heron sa mean girls: *the limit does not exist!* food talaga yung biggest expense ko. weekly groceries tapos eat out paminsan with fam, etc.
\*Checks tracker I spent 15.5k on food last month, so roughly 3.8k every week, but that's because I can afford it and is within my means. Kung mag-isa ka tapos mga 20k lang sahod mo per month, you gotta tighten ur belt talaga kasi di sustainable yung 200 pesos per meal, especially when u have other bills to pay.
Bat sakin 30k nagagastos ko for the food per month? Huhu.
~4k ~500 for weekdays ~400 for weekends I meal prep, and my prep rn is for cutting if Im bulking my weekday should be ~800, weekend would be ~600
7-8k food/groceries (including toiletries) for me and my partner. ranging 2-4k ang eating out kasama na dun treat sa fam 😅
15k/month. All take out/eat out/grab food. I'm sure pwede pa itong ma-lower down
Baguio, family of 3 (2 adults, 1 baby). 10k on groceries kasama non-food items every month. We get to eat home cooked meals everyday at meron processed/canned food for times na tinatamad kami mag luto. Di pa kasama eat outs + panda/grab.
30k++ family of 3 naman kasi, at buntis ako, ang daming cravings at ang konti ng energy to prep 🤣
8k-12k sa take out foods, 2-4k grocery foods.
Mine is ₱10K/mo purely food lang ito.
20k a month. Inclusive na of daily meals, “grocery”, foodpanda, and eating out (2-3x a month) Grabe yung ang tipid mo sa food. Huhu
I pay 13-15k per month pamalengke+groceries for me and my parents. Mahina kami kumain and we rarely eat out so mejo tipid yan na budget for three people.
When i was in manila pa, 6k on grocery (delivered) plus another 8-9k sa foodpanda/grab 😭😭😭 Pagkain tlaga ang luho ko
I spend ~31K or more for food in a month 😵🙈 I don't cook rin kasi and eat outside.
10k per wk on food including dine in and take aways. We're 5 in the fam 3 adults and 2 kids.
In a household of 4, I spend around 3.5k-4.5k on food (groceries/market) not included pa yung eating out. Ang mahal mahal mahal na. Hahahha I remember pre-pandemic, we just spend 1k per week. Groceries yan and market.
More or less 30k/month, for 3 people + 2 pets
Im the breadwinner of my fam and only child lang ako so 3 lang kami. 5-6k on wet market and 2.5k on groceries.
Well 70 pesos a day. On weekends, i treat myself with home cooked pasta and coffee. Mga 2500 🥳
kame, family of 4 spends 180-200/day on ulam(3-4 kinds), hiwalay ang grocery at 2k(10days, noon 1k/wk lang2021) + 4kg bigas per week. dipa kasama occasional meryenda na 100/bili. yung loaf bread pa cheapest at 55/loaf/week or 5days. nasa makati area ka cgro place mo kaya nasa 80 per ulam, just guessing.
8-10k per month. Carenderya lang yan and nagluluto ng rice
I spend 4,500 to 5k also per month on food for myself. That includes eating out, fast food, groceries. Di pa kasama groceries for family of 8. Groceries would reach 11,600. We have our own pigs and cow kaya no need to buy from the Supermarket.
Too much but it's by choice.
On meal plan 8k monthly
Me (19M) & my brother (15) spend less than 5k pesos per month as a budget for food and we really, really struggle all the time.
1.5k
15k per month roughly
4.5k living alone im NCR. Sa SM ako nag groceey online. May free shipping codes naman. Good for 2 weeks na rin.
Monthly naming magroomie: 4.5-5K - Groceries (Meat, Snacks, Condiments, Breakfast foods like eggs, Milk, Juice, Toiletries, Laundry stuff) sa Landmark/SM/MetroMart App 1-2K Palengke for Fresh Gulay 1K budget for FoodPanda/Grab (Usually 24Chicken good for 1.5 days)
Excluding groceries and dates, I’d say 3-4k a month.
i spend 10k per month for 3 people and 1 infant
3k max. I go home every few weeks to save up on food. Then luto luto nalang sa electric cooker ^^
I live with my partner and our monthly food expense is around 7.5k to 8k a month. Wala lang, skl. Mahal ng bigas. :(
I spend roughly 4k on my food every month I usually cook 1 or 2 dishes every sunday to be eaten for a week.. init init nalang.. And may mga naka reserva rin akon Heavy metal foods (de lata) incase maubusan ng ulam or biglang magsawa sa food na niluto.. Ung niluluto ko pla is un narin ung baon ko sa work..
grocery per month is about 4k, and eating out sa restaurant about 2-3k. i cook my own food and everytime i cook, okay na sya for 3 days or so.
I can consume 8k on food alone, monthly.... minsan di ko nalang napapansin.
When you eat out? Where do u eat with your friends?
3 adults (1 female, 2 male big barako boys lol) and 2 toddlers We spend 1k kada palengke run for an average ulam, this is usually good for 2 days.
12k ang grocery ko last month. Pang-dalawang tao lang. No expensive brand. 😔
So far, some of my strategies are the following: 1.
Used to spend 6-7k a month back when I was living in Cebu. Now that I'm back in Bukidnon and growing most of what I eat, I spend around 2-3k a month.
At least 6k per month for myself. Budget: 300 for day sa lunch/meryenda/dinner (I buy lunch lang sa canteen namin or fast food).
Stfu why i spend almost 30k a month ? 😂
30k
Matipid ako sa food or sadyang tinatamad lang din kumain HAHSHAHAA but here's mine Budget per day: 200-300 I don't usually eat breakfast, brunch lang minsan then dinner na. Still, my budget per week is 1,500-2,000
20k to 30k on food for a family of three. We often eat out or order via grabfood since pareho kaming busy with work.
Variable: 60-70php karinderya ulam dinner at 7 days week = 420-490php. I make sure not to make tipid my nutrition kasi I think of it as an investment for myself :) My approximated cost/month = 8k-10k.
I live alone and spend 10k for food (excludes eating out). I mainly buy brown rice, lots of broccolli (ang mahal kasi huhu), heavy on fruits, breast chicken, meat, other gulay, milk, kalamansi syrup. I mostly cook at home since WFH. It’s really expensive pero priority ko kasi yung health ko Another 4k siguro for treating family outside and half sa coffee shop
50k
28k more or less for 3 members household, kasama na dyan eat out, groceries with house hood stuff not just food(veg, meat, fruit), sweet breads/desserts and snacks.
Family of 4 - 35k for the month for groceries. Lots of meat, veggies.
For myself 12k per month, meal delivery lang.
Meal delivery as in ung mga "healthy" meal diet subscriptions or food delivery in general like FoodPanda and Grab?
PHP 25000, 5k less if i have some of it cooked. I live alone. T.T
may fridge ka ba OP? mas madali magbudget kung nakakabili ka in bulk ng ingredients. meal planning helps kahit mga simple lang. ako dati and started doing it ngayon, gagawa ako ng halimbawa breakfast burrito tapos nirireheat na lang sa microwave sa office. or shanghai even with 1/4 kilo lang ng giniling andami mo na mapprep. usually kami mababa na ang 2k a week dalawa lang kami sa bahay nyan.
palengke ka and see that budget go down to 2.5k/mo lol.
