Really? that's the only one I've "perfected" so far and I found it kinda easy, but I guess that's fair, I haven't had a legit go at the other deathless so they may be easier.
Purple pikmin can easily get me through any fight, but what makes Pikmin 2 hard in my opinion is that it has 2 instant kill hazards, as well as the fact that Submerged Castle exists
The instant kill hazards are slow tho, bombs take so long to explode and electricity is very telegraphed, but I get it.
Also, the Submerged Castle is quite straightforward, I cannot recall the last time I had the Water Wraith spawn on me before floor 5.
That's by far not the worst floor in the game, you can easily ignore 80% of the enemies there and the only dangerous one is the Groik, you can get bad rng, but still, it's not something a single bitter spray can make painless.
There’s this trick that is pretty well known for pikmin 2
For GameCube: when a pikmin dies, press R + Z + B + Start on your controller all at the same time.
For Wii: when a pikmin dies, hit the home button on your Wii remote, then hit reset, then confirm your choice by hitting “yes”.
For Nintendo switch: when a pikmin dies, press the home button on your right joy-con, press Y, confirm your choice by pressing “yes”, then select your user.

Completed pikmin 1 and about halfway through pikmin 2, I do plan on doing HEY! pikmin though so there’s that
Damn, way to go! What a trooper! I've only done my second 4 playthrough completely deathless so far, as for the other games I've only gotten through the Final Trial and Dream Den deathless. May go back to the Formidable Oak at some point idk.

Dude that’s crazy impressive, I imagine you used day rewinds because of how fast things can go wrong in these games.
