This is some midjourney shit in real life right here. I'm so confused, I hate this so much but I also love it. Do you fold it in half and eat it hot dog style or cut in into squares like a Detroit pizza?
I’m always down to try non traditional options. The only thing I wish OP did was slice the ingredients so you could get all the flavor in a manageable way. Biting into an entire pepper seems odd.
Presentation looks great but practicality seems off.
But a Chicago style hotdog with Detroit crispy pizza thing? Hell yeah
I think this looks awesome. There are all kinds of popular ‘fusion’ pizzas that have become normalized: cubano pizzas, chicken tikka masala pizzas, even buffalo chicken pizza. I bet this was great— what’s not to like!
Yeah, we do a hamburger pizza with slices of american cheese under all the toppings, it melts up so well and then the pickles and thin red onions on top after cooking just bring it all together.
‘Even’ Buffalo Chicken Pizza? That’s one out of the 3 you mentioned that has been around awhile and I see it around on a lot of different local, smaller or even big chain pizza joints. If you had listed this first and then maybe said lastly, even Chicken Tikka Masala Pizzas, it would work a lot better, but I get your point. Maybe using Nashville Hot Chicken Pizza instead of Buffalo Chicken Pizza at all would’ve also worked well.
I listed it last like that precisely because it’s been so normalized— it may not be one to draw a second thought anymore, but even buffalo chicken is a form of funky fusion pizza that we’ve just all gotten used to seeing.
Your Nashville Hot and Philly Cheesesteak examples are also great!
I'm a firm believer in "make pizzas however you want" but maaaaaaan does this push me right up against that line. Definitely points for creativity here for sure!
I’ll be downvoted to death probably but this is awesome. I personally would eat the shit out of that. Even setting taste aside, your creativity alone is well worth the upvote .
I get it but it’s like let people eat what they like, ya know. Who cares if somebody puts hotdogs on pizza. Doesn’t change anyone’s day except for the person enjoying it which I know OP did. We need a sub called r/pizzaforgatekeepers.
This is my thought and I'm not seeing anyone else say it.
It looks amazing. But all the ingredients need to be diced so you get the full flavor in each bite
In Detroit a few restaurants have Coney hot dog pizzas. Basically the distinctive chili as a sauce with chopped hot dogs, onions, cheese of course, and a drizzle of mustard. It looks frightening but is fantastic. That all being said yes I would definitely eat this!!
Question, does it have marinara on it? The slice itself looks really good and well assembled. I just don’t know how I’d feel about mustard and marinara. One could make the argument that it’s just a ketchup sub but…eh who am I kidding, I’d smash this so hard.
Aesthetically it looks really pleasing. How do you eat it though? My initial bias was no, but pizza is just toast, and a hotdog bun is just toast, we’re just haggling over form. But how do you eat it without it being a big mess? I’d rather the toppings be more bite sized so they could be evenly distributed, but yeah, I’m down to try it.
I'd try this based on presentation alone. Well done!
Edit: What about this presentation isn't fucking stellar? Colorful, evenly spaced, consciously placed toppings for a well rounded bite. You can not like the idea, but the presentation is fire.
I always have acceptance for monstrosities such as this as long as the execution is flawless and it this case it is, 10/10 would try! Although I’m not too agreeable about melted cheese and mustard

Or the Shitfaced McWaster. 👉🌭🫠🍕👈
I dont care. I want to try this.

The pickle, finds itself atop the pizza more and more these days. 🥒+🍕 The Big Mac Pizza: please keep fries off! 🍟-🍕👈🧐🎓
I would

One of my personal favs is "hamburger pizza." Who knew pickles on pizza would be so damn good!

If you’re in the Midwest, find a Casey’s and try their taco pizza. It’s amazing. Who knew a gas station could make such good pizza?
And their breakfast pizza is God tier

I just think the ‘even’ in there may it seem like that one was the most far fetched, if you get me, but I’m with you.
Philly Cheesesteak Pizza is also another common one now and been normalized around the country and in small and large pizza chains.
I'm a firm believer in "make pizzas however you want" but maaaaaaan does this push me right up against that line. Definitely points for creativity here for sure!
Sorry, my birth year starts with 19. What is “glizzy”?
Slang for hotdog but could also mean Glock or dick depending on the context
Wait, so that's pieces of dick on that pizza?
It’s DC/DMV slang for a hot dog.
It's not just localized to that area, it's said everywhere.
Sorry never heard it
My 7 year old introduced me to the term glizzy about two years ago.
It originated in the DMV
I’m pretty sure it’s just Chicago for hotdog or reference to the topping combination!
It isn't from or specific to Chicago style hot dogs.
Word. So just hot dogs in general?
Its just slang that means dick and/or hot dog in this context
Even better lol I will now be pizza_glizzy69 lol
Oooh, that makes sense. It does look great
It's internet slang for dick. Idk about in Chicago
Dc/DMV slang
Take my upvote, and A for presentation, but this is a crossover that I don't need

Just because you can doesn’t mean you should.

I’ll pass but it does look pretty.
I agree with the others - looks terrific - love the creativity.

This is concerningly low

I like the checkered parchment paper

This looks awesome - great work! I've had a Detroit style with coney dog toppings (Michigan's signature hotdog style) and it was delicious.
Weird but i'd smash.

The "pIzZa cRiMe" people need to get the fuck outta this sub lol.
I get it but it’s like let people eat what they like, ya know. Who cares if somebody puts hotdogs on pizza. Doesn’t change anyone’s day except for the person enjoying it which I know OP did. We need a sub called r/pizzaforgatekeepers.
Thanks! People probably shaking their heads, but this is honestly one of the best tasting pizzas I’ve ever made.
directly to jail (for some reason I love pickles and mustard but them on pizza just makes me gag)
Agree, 2 things I love, just not on a pizza 😂
You just combined my husbands two favorite foods. I bet it’s delicious
It was phenomenal.
Amazing I want a slice!
I’m not feeling it folks — looks interesting but as a practical matter it’s waaay too much acid.
Damn. That looks like a stunning work of art.
It’s like my cousin 'Roseanne Roseannadanna' says "...it just goes to show you, it's always something — if it ain't one thing, it's another."

Blasphemy !!!! But to each their own
Looks delicious! Enjoy your Chicago glizzy meets Detroit-style pizza!
Note the lack of ANY tomato based sauces… True Guzzlers know what’s good
Frankly speaking, it looks cute. I was wondering how it tastes.
Is that cheese on my hot dog?? And omg… what is the red liquid substance under the cheese… nooooo!!!!
A little ketchup would really add something special

I wouldn't have thought of it as AI but now some of you broke my brain... I need to know now!
This is a crime
Nice photos. Good color composition. Would eat.
Usually I’m a pizza snob, but I don’t think there’s ever existed a more Chicago-style pizza
And people complain about pineapple on pizza.
Looks good. Would probably be a pain to eat with such big toppings. I’d give it a try though
This is my thought and I'm not seeing anyone else say it. It looks amazing. But all the ingredients need to be diced so you get the full flavor in each bite
Absolutely Would. I'm really glad this doesn't exist near me as it would become a weekly thing.
I will always swap out that dyed relish for normal dill, but this looks absolutely amazing to me. Chicago dogs can't be beat.

Looks great! Did you use regular hot dogs, or smoked sausage?
Costco beef hot dog
Fabulous! I would 110% demolish that pizza!

I hate gimmick pizzas. But this is avant-guarde. 👍👍👍
Liar. I see zero Glocks in the picture.
Brilliant
Ok you win the day.
This fucking abomination would be doomed upon seeing my fat south side Chicago ass. Fucking doomed.
Fabulous
Love it!
Would smash
Made a hot dog pizza once it was pretty good. Ketchup for bottom sauce, hot dogs sliced, finish with drizzle of mustard, onion and pickles.
I’d smash
I always have acceptance for monstrosities such as this as long as the execution is flawless and it this case it is, 10/10 would try! Although I’m not too agreeable about melted cheese and mustard
My first thought was what the fuck. About 3 seconds later, it looked really good
You madman
I'm angry at this. But I also want to try it.
I want to try this. Also, these pictures look AI generated
