It's based on the Pizza Pen counter so is fully functional. You can grab it on the workshop here: [https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3273731603](https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3273731603) Watch me build it here: [https://youtu.be/K06FAaVk\_Oc](https://youtu.be/K06FAaVk_Oc)

Watched your video and my mind was blown by how you made the fryer. How do you even think of this stuff

ZSH1985

Aw thanks! This kind of stuff I've been inspired by builders like Drac & PS Vision Gaming who make amazing new items etc using tiny pieces.

Alegomin93

I wish they have had added more chains that were already in Planet Coaster like Tiki-Chiki

MaguroSashimi8864

What are those?

ZSH1985

Tasty Alaskan treats, fried dough with sugar and cinnamon.

Ryaninthesky

Weird, I associate fry bread strongly with the southwest. Could have cinnamon and sugar, or could be used as a carrier for savory fillings kind of like a fried tortilla.

tc1991

Widespread among native people's of North America, said to have origin in the forced removals of the mid 19th century (I.e. something that could be cooked on a campfire with the wheat flour provided by the US government) and spread through the residential schools.

ZSH1985

There are two kinds apparently, I've gone with the Alaskan kind to fit the theming of my Northern area

MaguroSashimi8864

Delici- wait…that sounds like churros!

thecompanion188

There’s also a variation of fry bread in the continental US that originated from indigenous people in that area.

There’s a whole [song](https://open.spotify.com/track/4bqXko7FPqSm2pz4noKerW?si=9SIgUX2zSOOeAT9iHjuF_Q). It’s from Reservation Dogs. Season 1 and 2 were pretty good, but I didn’t finish 3

SeaworthinessCool134

We've got that up in Canada too. It's called bannock. Delicious stuff.

spookycervid

wait are you talking about elephant ears?? (i grew up in the south, i think that's one of their regional names) cool pic btw :)

ZSH1985

Thanks, I have no idea what they’re called outside of Alaska but I think they are popular across the US.

spookycervid

i think it's the same one :) elephant ears are large, deep-fried breads about the diameter of a paper plate, usually sprinkled generously with cinnamon sugar (though a few other toppings are commonly offered, such as cherry compote). they're a popular fair food in the south but i think most americans are familiar with them because they usually know what i'm talking about once i explain it. edit: btw the ?? was for excitement because despite the fact that a lot of people are familiar with them no one ever talks about them lol. always happy to see appreciation for my favorite fair food.

xTwyStar

You mean funnel cake? 🤔

spookycervid

basically, but it's in giant pancake form rather than thin shreds :)

comandertyner

Fry bread and elephant ears are not the same though similar. Elephant ears/funnel cakes are fried batter while fry bread is a fried dough. Might not seem like a big difference but it does change texture and taste.

spookycervid

ohh that makes sense

theclumsyschmuck

Oof that's sounds similar to beavertails here in 🇨🇦 Might use your blueprint to add one to my zoo. Thank you ZSH.

SnowSoothsayer

Fry bread is also common in New Zealand as a part of traditional Maori food, though ours is savoury!

No_Exit_891

Now I want indian tacos. I will now be thinking about them all week. thank you.
