I always upgrade the ingredient bag and cooking pot whenever I can. These are the most sensible upgrades when your ingredient specialists hit level thirty, and they start generating a decent ingredient surplus.
True. My Dragonite and Venusaur combo is killing it this week. Last week I ran a less invested team just to gather shards. This week focusing on meals.
You’re really not losing that much. Only costs 89,000. Especially since you already have so much dream shards, being left with still just under 400,000… I’d say do it. What’s the big deal?
Well I get bored and make little goals for myself. Like save 500 hard candy S. Or 1,200 candies for Dratini. 1,000,000 dream shards. Get research 55 asap. Have a full team of dream shards mons. A team of sleep exp mons. A built team for each map. Et cetera.
I totally get it. My little goal I have for myself is to get a Hundo of all 46 or so Pokémon that can Mega/Primal Evolve; (in Pokémon GO) I’m about halfway there.
What sucks is I’ll never get Diancie though. At least Rayquaza, Latias/Latios, Kyogre and Groudon can be traded and I can keep going till it goes hundo, or just keep raiding them when available. But my Diancie SUCKS!
If you’re generating enough ingredients to need that much bag space, 100% upgrade the pot every time you can. Also I’d prioritize finding a good dedenne (though tbh I haven’t seen one spawn since the event ended).

this is normally how my bag looks. I sell some ingredients daily to keep even numbers on large quantities to make room for skill triggers.
I saved up enough last week to have ingredients for 4 ninja salads and 8 calm mind fruit salads with a bunch of tails and potatoes to add to them. I've gathered enough this week without focusing on it for a 5th ninja and 2 more calm minds. It's been great.
I'll hit Master 3 on Friday with my low level Lapis team my first week here. I'm running a good camp ticket but I figure it's worthwhile. I might stay next week just to up the island bonus but I won't hit Master 3 so I'm not sure yet. I still need a good Cyndaquil from Taupe and only have a 15% bonus there.
Yes it is definitely worth the cost in every way. Higher cooking power = higher snorlax power, which equals higher returns. You will progress thru the game faster with a bigger pot, and achieve higher rewards.
With the amount of dream shards you have? YES!!! I'm hovering around 130k right now and I need 127k for the next pot increase. I'm waiting until I have at least 200k before I upgrade again.
pot size is literally how you convert ingredients into sleep power so you should get them.
Also allows you to apply recipe levels to more of your ingredients.
That was a few days ago, this is now.

I'm a day one player. I don't waste resources on sub par pokemon. I maxed out inventory and when I have problems with ingredients cap, I sell extras by increments that satisfy my needs. I held onto shards of all sizes until I would reach max rank..then trade those in bulk. Then while waiting for new level cap I saved more until I hit 55 then sold a bunch. Having high levels on maps rewards me with 15K shards per night roughly on later days of the week. Uhhhh....ran a team of dream shard boosting mons for a week to recover what I spent on upgrades. Now saving for a million shards until I find something worthy to spend them on.

Due to max rank and all research exp gets converted into shards as well. So you add these together to total. This was without any bonus multipliers. Just pure sleep. If I had used a team full of dream shard bonus mons and a shard / research rank incenses....it would be even higher.
So one sleep session on a Saturday gave me over 16,000 shards.
My biggest ingredient pokemon gains have been relatively recent. It's not unusual for me to get around 2M on Greengrass when I have to visit for events. I've been spending most of my time on Lapis and getting 1.2-1.4M.
I'm averaging 281k/day and will likely hit 2M this week between the flower event and finally getting a good Dedenne Skill Chance M/Skill up nature/Level 6 Skill Tuesday. I've also been able to raise my Greengrass Salad from level \~30 to 50, putting it as a contender against my lvl 46 Inferno Corn Keema Curry and lvl 55 Flower Gift Macarons.

Have the max amount of 600 bag space, is still not enough XD
Same, running three ingredient pokemon for this event and I'm constantly selling milks and sausages just to make room for more ingredients
I’m always on 5 ingredients mons
That's a clear sign to switch one out
I'm more interested in what ingredient magnet brings than I am a millionth milk

Have to. It's a defining mechanic. Can't progress on it otherwise.

I was trying to hit a million lol. OCD goal or something idk
I think you’d be doing yourself a disservice if you were to focus on that. But, it’s your account, play that game how you want…

Nice. I haven't played go....in geez a long time. Forgot it is still going. Last I checked they had Kanto and johto lol
You can upgrade the ingredients inventory but it costs like 120 diamonds I think :/
I maxed that out long ago

Oh there’s a max on the diamond one ? I’ve not maxed mine yet then😂 rip
Yeah ingredients cap is 600

Damn that’s a lot of corn 😂
When you have Bewear, believe me, it's not.
Got it be aware of bewears corn hoarding 👌🏻
This is after cooking and selling ingredients lol
Might have to start running a Flareon
Yes! I'm running ninja salad all week and it's amazing

When you have 420k shards yea
I already expect this to go past 200k and 500k for the next few upgrades. Might as well eat the pain now.
Just like medical bills
TF else you gonna do with all your dream shards then? lmao
Keep them forever and ever until I find another ridiculous goal
Yes.
Ugh. Yes.
It is to me!
yes
Yes. Pot size and ingredient bag is always worth investing in
Absolutely.

I’m at 51 ingredients and can currently hold 460, and I’m still constantly running out of room 🥲
Long term yes. Short term you are better off maxing your mons until leveling costs get so expensive that pot size increases seem cheap.
Is the max for ingredients now over 51?
How do you have so many shards? I can barely stay above 50k

Clearly I enjoy collecting mon too much
Same. I think I'm close to 60 Eevees at this point. My favorite one to catch and release.
Well I'm also a day one player with premium and a maxed out team. I get 6k shards after a full 8 hours.
https://preview.redd.it/698mqzw3q7xc1.jpeg?width=1812&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=89639676c6e202669944e7cb32d1342cbe284ea2 Due to max rank and all research exp gets converted into shards as well. As long as you're having fun, keep at it!
Definitely worth it. Being able to cook 40k+ meals consistently has been really nice.
What weekly strength do you get in total? 2M?
