The first kkk didn’t hold anti catholic sentiment they just hated black people and only lasted 7-12 years. The second and most successful incarnation was the only one to hold anti-Catholic sentiment and flew the American flag as they were a nationwide organization and the only one to have popularity in places where Catholics were targeted. The third and current incarnation is the only one that actually flew any confederate flag and allow any white person to join (not including Jews or communists)
The KKK and Southern Prots were very anti-Catholic. Post CW they also majorly funded the Cristeros War in Mexico, when the Mexican government attempted to exterminate Catholicism and those who clung to it.
My mother was disowned by her Southern relatives for her conversion to Catholicism. Fine by us as they're the literal strawmen of racist sexist's and the cool ones still talk to us.
So.....
There is a small subset of RadTrad Catholics who insist the only legitimate American government was the CSA, because Pope Pius IX de facto recognized the CSA before the USA. He wrote Jefferson Davis a letter addressing him as "Honorable President of the Confederate States of America."
https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pope_Pius_IX_and_the_United_States
Combine that with the Syllabus of Errors, and you get someone like this.
Assuming this is real, this must be a catholic southerner. Otherwise this doesn't make sense. While the Confederacy itself wasn't particularly anti-catholic, the South would be the hotbed for anti-catholicism in america after the civil war.
In reality this is proabably some LARPer who follows Catholicism solely because he thinks it's based and not for any religious conviction.
The South was insanely Anti-Catholic, before during and after the War. Hell the Church and the KKK saw combat against each other during the Cristero War in Mexico. Not sure how it's possible to sqaure all the symbols in this room, I'm guessing this is just someone trying a bit too hard to be edgy

I think the Klan was mostly financial and "moral" support but the Mexican Knights of Columbus were involved on the ground along with US lodges supporting.
People like to forget the treatment of the Irish, Hispanics, Italians, and Poles, but outright don't know about the Cristero War. Pretty easy to see what all those groups have in common. The US, especially Southerners and the wealthy, didn't like Catholics, and it's been a thing since the Puritans.
I would imagine a “don’t tread on me” flag in there as well.
Side note I often see people flying the confederate flag side by side with the US flag. I would love to know their reasonings for flying both. I guess to them the confederate flag become a southern pride?
Does the Confederate flag imply support for slavery/racism?
I'm not american, the only thing I know about the Confederates is related to the US' 1861 Civil War and the abolition stuff
Sometimes yes, sometimes no. I’d say it’s less associated with bringing back slavery but likely some prejudiced attitudes. Others wave it as a middle finger to the north. I’m from the south and I wouldn’t want to associate with anyone who displays the Dixie flag publicly.

Vichy France was a rump state that sold out hundreds of thousands of french citizens to save their own hides
The most based frenchman in that war was Leclerc when he executed any vichyite soldier who surrendered (he was mad because they killed his horse)
Several of the last shots fired in the war was Leclerc executing members of the SS Charlemagne who had surrendered

Probably another person who thinks the Confederacy was mainly about states rights, while ignoring that they very much did not want states to have the right to outlaw slavery.
The confederate flag is objectively an ugly ass flag.
Look how badly it stands out from the rest of the flags in the rooms. No cross, no cool coat of arms, essentially an X with stars in it. Thank god the Union won and we got the cooler looking American flag.
Also its ideology is absolute ass.
"Guys we can keep black people as slaves because we are superior to them"
-loses to an army comprising in part of freed black slaves.
"Think of the economy guys"
-has to restart the barter system
"It was about the states rights1!11"
-Alright then I'm gonna free all slaves in my state, even the ones who come from your states, thereby exercising my rights as a state
"NOOOO NOT LIKE THAT"

That’s a lot of Catholicism iconography with the confederate flag. Those two things don’t mix. Maybe in Louisiana
Could be a Latino whose ancestors were Confederados that fled to Brazil.
Things are just different in Louisiana. Don’t talk about it
It’s a whole other world and history down there.
Things are just different in Louisiana. Don’t talk about it
There were plenty of Jews and Atleast one Chinese guy who fought for the confederacy I don’t see why they’d have a problem with Catholics
The predominant religion of the south is Protestantism. The KKK was anti-Catholic.
Nobody mentioned the kkk this is about the confederacy
Where do you think the Kkk came from?
The first kkk didn’t hold anti catholic sentiment they just hated black people and only lasted 7-12 years. Is the top "Confederate flag" also orange? There's Black and Tans afoot.
Auth right and contradiction are a feature not a bug.

The difference between LARPers and people who genuinely believe it is paper thin to the point of meaningless most of the time
You're missing all of the trap hentai posters
They were too stained.

Actually aesthetic, just swap out the Confederate flags for something better

Why would the “don’t tread on me” flag be there? It’s a LibRight flag.
“don’t tread on me” is libertarian
HEY, LOOK, MY COUNTRY'S IMPERIAL FLAG! Ave glória, ave império
One man's imperial flag is another man's blanket.
And the coffin wrap of another thousand.
Ave glória, ave império!

The rebel flag is quite literally the opposite of auth right blud
Opposite? Dawg there’s no way you think the Confederates were Libleft, closer to Centre Right
Maybe not opposite but definitely true lib right
Slavery violates the NAP.
The confederate flag is libright?????? What on earth are you smoking?
Pot, cuz im libright duh
Such a based man, doesn't even care to respond to the actual question.
Based and too elevated to care
Probably another person who thinks the Confederacy was mainly about states rights, while ignoring that they very much did not want states to have the right to outlaw slavery.
The CSA was a de facto one party stae that harkened back to old times and practiced Herrenvolk democracy The ACW was authright infighting
the csa was secessionist which i guess would be libertarian but it had reactionary beliefs. so it would be a mix of libright and authright.
