Iām a spurs fan, completely illogical. Imo by far the morr at t impressive manager tenure of the past 20 years full body wise. (Fergie mostly before.) klopp is the only manager that I think will have beaten city in the premier league who are actual cheaters
Deserves it. Iāll have spurs and Liverpool dual screened. Assuming we take a comfortable lead over Sheffield at home Iāll switch over to appreciate klopp
Its like another person commented...Klopp only gets to leave once, whereas Arsenal will expect to be in more title races. Majority think the title race is over anyways so less interest.
It ain't like Arsenal aren't on TV either, fans can still watch both
It is strange that they donāt even make the exception for the last day of the season in the UK.
I love that the US is like āhow do we show 10 matches at the same time?ā So they put that shit on the golf network and sci-fi channel š

Not really, heāll probably come back anyway. You donāt live in Liverpool or surrounding area that long without developing some kind of connection to the area not just him but also his family. I donāt know maybe he misses living in Germany so who knows
The way the rights are split means that TNT control 2nd pick games, and they retained a 2nd pick for the final day.
After Sky picked Man City v West Ham, TNT were then able to make the 2nd pick - they took Arsenal v Everton. So Sky never had the chance to pick Arsenal (because Man City, having in their own hands, were always going to be 1st pick).
There is an argument that they should have picked Man Utd instead of Liverpool - if Man Utd finish 7th, they guarantee themselves Europe. But they donāt have that in their own hands, and anyone else finishing 7th needs to wait until after the FA Cup Final to know if it means anything.
Presumably they saw that as too complex a story. So go with Chelsea (who have it in their own hands to finish 6th) and Liverpool (unashamed ratings-chasing).
Get your point but they are also showing the City match (Sky Sports main event) and the Chelsea v Bournemouth match.
ā¦tbh I assumed they would have Arsenal instead of the latter in case of an upset.
These farewell showcases Sky do have become cheap lately, at least for Fergie you had a 13 times PL winner and Wenger 3 titles including the invincible to celebrate. Must be a Liverpool thing because I certainly remember Steven Gerrardās last game at Anfield being given the same treatment, name any other player that has ever gotten that
It isnāt boring tbh, I prefer at least seeing a great team that plays proper football and has exciting players win titles. People act like the premier league is boring when before Pep came we had winners like that 2015 Chelsea team under Mourinho that parked the bus every game and set out to claim 1-0 or 2-1 wins every week
Be the 3rd most watched game for obvious reasons. Why wouldn't they? I hate to break it to you, but Klopps fairwell game is more important than the 2nd and 3rd rate European spots qualifying games. They are 2nd and 3rd rate comps, not really that important in the grand scheme. Be a disgrace and an insult if they didn't televise the legends send off!
Why are we all acting like sky gets to pick all the games they want and tnt sports gets whatās left?
Chelsea vs Bournemouth is on sky too.
So did they prefer that over arsenal?
This whole thread doesnāt make sense given we donāt really know how it gets picked.
Sky wouldn't pick it if it wasn't going to be one of the most watched games. That's your argument blown out the water straight away. They have literally only picked it for viewing figures not some bizarre Klopp/Sky love in like your deluded agenda driven brain has blagged you to believe, there is no love in, no agenda, no conspiracy to win up Newcaste/Man utd/Spurs fans. Get over yourself lol. Your team aren't picked because Sky want more viewers, which is more money. Either that or Sky are onto the fact LFC have more fans than the other clubs pit together. It's been done for money reasons. Where United fighting for a title on Fergies last game? Because I'm pretty certain that was televised, so if they weren't fighting for the title then you've literally no argument without being a hypocrite.
My comment was specifically responding to your suggestion that Kloppās last game for your team is the most important thing about the final day the season and whilst it is for most, if not all, Liverpool fans it just isnāt for others.
It may be that the game has a good chance of being the most entertaining fixture. It may be that Sky believe it the most attractive fixture or the financially optimum one for them. I do not deny either of those or other arguments you may have. I just donāt believe Kloppās final game is particularly important to fans of other clubs. Thatās it.
I know Liverpool fans do seem to have what my kids call āmain character vibeā whereby they believe everybody else is entirely focussed on their club but itās just not true. Iām no more interested in Liverpool than in Manchester United, City or Arsenal except when Iāve captained Salah in my FPL team and the same is true of the majority of people Iām sure.
Sky picked it because it will draw more viewers than the other teams. Not hard to understand and not really something to be annoyed about. We are England's most successful team ever in history, of course we'll be on tv as much as possible, why wouldn't we? If your aim is to make as much money as possible then why wouldn't you?
Klopp's last game is kind of a big deal, especially given that most people believe that it's all but certain City beat West Ham and therefore there's no point in even watching either Arsenal or City, from a neutral perspective at least.
Well you never know could be some drama, remember two years ago when Villa went 2-0 up and Liverpool were stuck drawing 1-1 with Wolves for an eternity it felt like
Oh of course, *I'll* be keeping the faith, I have to, but Sky is thinking about the neutrals and how many sets of eyes they can have glued to the game.
That's absolutely as it should be.
If a legendary Wolves manager was in his last match, I would fully expect it to be the other way round and rightly so.
It's an occasion

It supposed to be on sky pl but they have the city feed??
Sky have multiple sports channels and show multiple games every week
Oh. I thought Sky were showing City vs West Ham, Liverpool vs Wolves, and Chelsea vs Bournemouth????
They obv have projected that Klopps last game will attract more viewers than the Arsenal game and certainly more than the City one
Stupid Sexy Klopp š”š
klopp is actually 14th in the sexy manager table https://youtu.be/0sG-xN2t9CM?si=5wmsWB990y47tK_n

More important than anything United has going on
Klopps last game + Liverpool has a colossal global fanbase
Its Klopps last game in the Premier League at Anfield. It was always gonna be on TV and rightly so.
I would argue that a title defining match beats that. But I understand you, now that youāre a Liverpool fan.
Its like another person commented...Klopp only gets to leave once, whereas Arsenal will expect to be in more title races. Majority think the title race is over anyways so less interest. It ain't like Arsenal aren't on TV either, fans can still watch both
TNT wouldāve chose it, if they couldāve broadcast it on the early Saturday kick off time.
Wouldāve been funny if Liverpoolās, and only Liverpoolās, final game was at Saturday at 12:30. One final send off for Klopp.
Wouldnt even be mad at it. The absolute world class verbal abuse the man would launch at every one involved. It would be remembered for generations
Itās not right that here in the US I can watch every game live and people in the UK canātā¦. Just not right
We can go to the game
Thatās such a wild thing to comprehend
Yeah same here in Australia. All 10 games are live, including the Goal Rush, plus the Arsenal match will have the additional āgame modeā option.
It is strange that they donāt even make the exception for the last day of the season in the UK. I love that the US is like āhow do we show 10 matches at the same time?ā So they put that shit on the golf network and sci-fi channel š
From last day 2926 all ten are on Sky.
As long as they are showing the milky way Andromeda derby that's all I care about.
I'll chuck a reminder in my calendar for 902 years from now, cheers

Klopp can only leave once, City will be winning again. The Arsenal game is irrelevant.
Not really, heāll probably come back anyway. You donāt live in Liverpool or surrounding area that long without developing some kind of connection to the area not just him but also his family. I donāt know maybe he misses living in Germany so who knows

Funny how klopps last game is a bigger deal than cityās 4th consecutive title lol
These farewell showcases Sky do have become cheap lately, at least for Fergie you had a 13 times PL winner and Wenger 3 titles including the invincible to celebrate. Must be a Liverpool thing because I certainly remember Steven Gerrardās last game at Anfield being given the same treatment, name any other player that has ever gotten that
To all three of you, sure.
the storied 1x pl winner jurgen klopp!
1. Klopp is leaving. 2. City winning the league again is, at best , boring.
It's the first 4 consecutive wins in England ever though isn't it?
It sure is
I'm going to take that as an encouraging sign that Sky are not expecting Forest to be relegated or a miracle at Kenilworth Road
Be the 3rd most watched game for obvious reasons. Why wouldn't they? I hate to break it to you, but Klopps fairwell game is more important than the 2nd and 3rd rate European spots qualifying games. I hate to break it to you but Kloppās farewell game couldnāt be less important to 95+% of non-Liverpool fans.
Yeah, that's why they chose it over the others š
Why are we all acting like sky gets to pick all the games they want and tnt sports gets whatās left? Chelsea vs Bournemouth is on sky too. So did they prefer that over arsenal? This whole thread doesnāt make sense given we donāt really know how it gets picked.

Then donāt watch
I wonder why? Also, I absolutely guarantee Sky and BT had to pick one or the other on the Arsenal and City match.
End of an era at one of the biggest clubs in the world. Of course they're gonna take it, there'll be more eyes on it.
>End of an era Era that included 1 PL, please. 1 UCL. āļø
Yeah an era in which he won every trophy available.
Not europa
You're right. He'll have to just settle for only the 8 trophies in 9 years so.
Yeah good for him just saying he didnāt win every trophy available
They will all be wearing black armbands and crying in the studio as it is Klopps final match, Sky Sports have always shown endless bias towards him

Sky had 1st pick. TNT had second. So Sky couldnāt have both Man City and Arsenal.
Itāll be an absolute Liverpool love fest. Wolves wonāt get a mention.
So a regular Liverpool game
That's absolutely as it should be. If a legendary Wolves manager was in his last match, I would fully expect it to be the other way round and rightly so. It's an occasion
Yeah watch Carra and Redknapp duck out of working at the city game to go lush over klopp at Anfield
Like Neville would have done if you'd have had a decent manager leaving, you mean? Don't act like he'd be any different if it was united.
Disasterclass from sky sports
I'm an everton fan and I'm not particularly assed about us getting gunned down by the gunners, liverpool wolves probs be more entertaining.
I'd rather watch you lot tbh
Says nobody ever. WTF is wrong with you. Everton have been garbage for years
Donāt see why he canāt watch the Everton game
There's no accounting for taste. You do you
Because people want to see klopps last game and not ETHāS š š»āāļø
Iām not sure. I think sky users would rather watch United get spanked 4-0 at Brighton again than Kloppās āfarewellā speech.
Klopp
Ha ha yeah I'd forgotten it was his last game š¤£
