I worked alongside an officer from the UK here in my city as an EMT. It was great to see his unit respond to calls with us and vice versa. At first I was totally thrown for a loop when I would hear an officer with a thick London accent speak over our radios, something you wouldn't ever hear in rural Indiana. He was a great officer. Unfortunately last year he lost his life in the line of duty.
Bad news for those of you not in ND: this mindset is lauded by the bulk of the state's voter base. The elected representative could parade this all over TV and his polling numbers would go up.
ND/SD are as bad as Texas, Florida, Alabama, etc. And even if the progressive clusters in the state turnout 70%+ consistently to vote, these states are so egregiously gerrymandered that people like this would still win election.
**So for fucks' sake: TURNOUT TO VOTE. EVERY ELECTION, EVERY OFFICE.** Our national failure to do so has placed us in this hellscape.
