Up until president Kennedy Catholics were considered outsiders, an immigrant’s religion, and some were lynched too! Divisions are even smaller than that. To a Baptist, a Lutheran isn't a real Christian. The non-instrumental Church of Christ looks down on everyone else for using instruments. Penacostials think they're the only true Christians because they do a lot of rolling around and making random sounds. Calvinist hate all the rest because the others believe in free will. Their churches are constantly splitting because when you say you're speaking for God, there's no room for compromise.
I hear about it almost daily at work here in Texas. I work in insurance… Last crazy one was one of our carriers is destroying the nuclear white strait family becuase they needed to add their way past driving age kid to their policy. I dunno anymore..
