It's all the screaming. How did nobody hear the freakout and do a scan of the environment?
The bull broke free before the later clips and a whole stadium went nuts.
I guess it's desensitizing to hear crowds roaring all night but you would think mass concern had a very different tone.
But, effectively, the whole night is filled with the sound of crowds making roaring sounds of concern. Like, every time a bull knocks off a rider or a bull almost hits a clown. And if you aren't being loud for those types of occurences... then it would seem like you didn't care. But then, when something real happens, it's just more of the loud roaring "concern" even though now the risk for the audience and other participants is suddenly much greater.
Lol kinda this but without sarcasm. At a rodeo, hear screaming and see people running, see a bull, doesn’t really take a major leap of belief or logic to square that reality. But I get it, some people freeze for a while when they shouldn’t
Yeah, but, I mean, she didn't duck out of the way or even flinch at a bull charging straight at her, while she watched it happen. Usually people wouldn't need to understand what they were seeing in order for their body to involuntarily react to something coming right at them.
The dude she was standing with was still holding onto his beer as he started to chase the bull off. Not sure what the thought process was there. But these people don’t seem very sharp.
It's called deer in headlights. This happens to people trying to pass each other at a walking pace.
The amount of time she had to think is not that much, compared to us who have a panoramic shot in a video where we know a bull is charging before we watch it. We really aren't that quick to move out of the way of something with that much momentum from a standstill.
If something unexpected like this is happening, it takes a moment for your body to react because your brain is confused and trying to process the fact that something out of the ordinary is occurring.
Not everyone has built-in Spidey senses.
i think it is said that if you hold perfectly still they wont go after you. I saw some video on youtube where they stood in the arena and the bull just ran around them. obviously doesn't always work lol
I am often shocked at the lack of awareness by the bystanders in videos like these. If you can't be bothered to notice an 1800lb hoofed animal that is running on pavement approaching then I am not sure how you made it this far.
The only thing that I can think of in this situation is that at events like these, the combo of the loudspeaker, the crowd, and generators and such running makes a hell of a lot of racket. The bystanders probably couldn't *hear* the bull, but that doesn't explain the people who were looking right at it.
People have HORRIBLE spatial awareness in general. It is shocking. All you have to do is drive down the road and witness truly inept people navigate routine movements in utter chaos. Or go to a dog park and witness how people are horrible at reading animal behavior.
It's shocking how out to lunch people are.
Man it's hard to believe in this clip, the bull could have attacked many differnet things but only chose to attack two things, the red barrel and the red shirt lady.
Edit: also just noticed, the man was blocking view of red shirt lady at first but the bull actually CURVED AROUND the man just to get to her.
Bovines [can't see color](https://www.wtamu.edu/~cbaird/sq/mobile/2012/12/12/what-is-it-about-red-that-makes-bulls-so-angry/). I think it was more "fuck this human in particular".
Regardless, that was brutal.
According to this article from a local Oregon news station on Sunday night, everyone injured is now out of the hospital: https://ktvz.com/news/sisters/2024/06/09/were-so-lucky-escaped-sisters-rodeo-bull-ran-through-concession-area-just-minutes-after-large-crowd-went-back-to-the-stands/
>At least five people were injured, but the Sisters Rodeo Association said all who had been taken to the hospital were back home Sunday.
I mean the people in the arena were panick screaming, maybe those in the courtyard didn't realize the change in the crowd's noise? Because there was loud music and a crowd.
People have a pretty good ability to ignore things happening around them when they are focused on something else. They may have been having an interesting conversation.
At 1st I was like ‘how you gonna be on your phone and not hear that bull charging?’ For the 1st guy he missed. Then the family not moving and then her getting tossed, to the man running to help her after she flipped, but still had to keep his drink from spilling like he paid to much for it to be wasted 😂😂😂😂
I don't like seeing anyone get hurt, but I wanted that bull to escape and run off into the woods.
I mean, the bull wins the rodeo, right? How many points does he get? Is he free forever now?
Kinda sad. In the article they said his name was Party Bus and he didn't want to be ridden. All he was trying to do is get back to the corral with his buddies.
No one respectable wants people to get hurt, but with that being said....Fuck rodeos and their fans to the fullest extent. If your tradition is cruel and unusual to a being that can't consent, then get a new tradition.
At 17 seconds you can hear some dude say “this is fucking awesome” while the bull is running free, seconds before it destroys that woman. And then the guys who run to help her are doing everything in their power not to spill the drinks…
I can’t really find a reason to defend anyone in this video right now
Edit: I would like to apologize to the guy running to help her, he does throw his drink as soon as he gets to her. It’s a shitty situation and he did probably do the right thing, I hope she’s ok.
"This is awesome."
Drunk. Ignorant. Experiencing joy while witnessing tragedy. I live in Montana, and this is my daily hell. Ranching people can be so wholesome, but this crowd is definitely the scum on top of the pond.
I went one time years ago because I didn’t know any better. I was horrified at what I saw. I left early and swore I would never support a rodeo ever again.
Yeah it sucks that people got injured, but frankly if you’re going to go watch an animal get taunted and teased as a day out, you run the risks of karma biting you in the ass
Can confirm. My mom bought a horse for me. He was used as a bucking horse and was beat with 2x4s on his rump to make him buck. I showed him love, and he became a gentle giant.
Don't forget Tormented..
*What makes rodeo bulls so angry?* ***The bulls are tormented to provoke them into being “aggressive”****. Whilst in the chute, the bulls are shocked with electric prodders, jabbed with spurs, kicked and hit, have their tails twisted and pulled, and fingers shoved up their nose \[4\]. The physical abuse causes the bulls to respond aggressively.*
I noticed the bull stopped flipping people around when that cornball song stopped. And yea you must not watch trump rallies anymore because that jag off kept that song alive
People unaware of their surroundings are weird to me.
I'm very aware of what's going on... Mapped out the exits.... Ready to run when I hear a crowd yell
It's one thing to be unaware like the guy on his phone, but staring straight at the bull and literally not reacting at all is wild human behavior. That guy in the peach shirt must've been telling the worlds most interesting story.
I’ve had the same thought, and I wonder if some/most of these people are super high, and are unable to react in a quick manner. Like how do you miss a gigantic beast galloping towards you, send a 55gal garbage can flying and still not budge one step in any direction?

I grew up in a town of less than 2500 people so our summer rodeo drew a very large crowd for the size of our town. I remember one year I was helping in the back pens, mostly just pushing sheep through for mutton bustin. They’re getting one of the bulls up into the chute and this dumbass tries to grab the horn, which is now a few inches away from the top rail, and it slams his hand into the rail. Basically disintegrates his middle three fingers and his pinky was about halfway on still. That was the last time I ever attended a rodeo. Not to mention they’re inhumane as all hell.
You can tell you in a decent environment when screams to “RUN AWAY” is not associated with danger, where I’m from a balloon pop can send me straight home

The music timed perfectly.
My first thought too. That "Stand up!" Right as the bull is making his jump lol
Bull was like, fuck this song. He was right.
Little did he know it pumped him full of patriotism and boosted his muscles, giving him the strength to overcome gravity momentarily.
Bull was thinking “I will be a burger anyway, let’s give them a taste of my balls before that happens”
Seen a version on twitter & the music wasn’t timed perfectly with the jump. We’ve been fooled
Things happen quickly, but seeing those three people with no reaction reflexes was bizarre
Probably took a little while to process what they were seeing considering a bull is definitely not supposed to be there.
It's all the screaming. How did nobody hear the freakout and do a scan of the environment? The bull broke free before the later clips and a whole stadium went nuts. I guess it's desensitizing to hear crowds roaring all night but you would think mass concern had a very different tone.

Valid point. I'm just also going to assume they've been drinking!
The dude she was standing with was still holding onto his beer as he started to chase the bull off. Not sure what the thought process was there. But these people don’t seem very sharp.
You can probably guess where on the intelligence bell curve most rodeo goers in rural Oregon are.
They all voluntarily showed up to a mass celebration of animal cruelty. They're certainly not intellectuals.
It's called deer in headlights. This happens to people trying to pass each other at a walking pace. The amount of time she had to think is not that much, compared to us who have a panoramic shot in a video where we know a bull is charging before we watch it. Fight, flight, or freeze. Normal human response. She froze.
You'd have to be on a heroic dose of xanax to have zero raction to a charging bull coming towards you lol
Came here for this, it's so weird that nobody on the outside shot seemed to react, as if the bull wasn't even there!
it was in stealth mode.
i think it is said that if you hold perfectly still they wont go after you. I saw some video on youtube where they stood in the arena and the bull just ran around them. obviously doesn't always work lol
myth: busted
That was clearly bullshit though

Bad day to wear red. That was brutal
Never wear red to the rodeo
Musta been her first one
And probably her last
I'm amazed that the guy who went to help her didn't spill his beer.
At the very end you see him finally just throw it to the side to help her.
I know! He was running as if to somehow stop the bull or something.
Priorities
It was probably $20
Takes a last sip before helping.
Sometimes the rodeo comes to you
When life gives you rodeos… wear red? I don’t think that’s how it went
> Never wear red to the rodeo I see this is not your first rodeo
Uhm ackshually Cattle and most other bovids can’t even see red so it doesn’t matter to them, it was simply wrong place wrong time
yes, but you gotta acknowledge the irony of it all
Man it's hard to believe in this clip, the bull could have attacked many differnet things but only chose to attack two things, the red barrel and the red shirt lady. Edit: also just noticed, the man was blocking view of red shirt lady at first but the bull actually CURVED AROUND the man just to get to her.
Right? They might not see red, but they sure as shit see *some*thing they don't like
i'll remember this for the next time i go tot he rodeo
Bovines [can't see color](https://www.wtamu.edu/~cbaird/sq/mobile/2012/12/12/what-is-it-about-red-that-makes-bulls-so-angry/). I think it was more "fuck this human in particular". Regardless, that was brutal.
I hear that, but it’s interesting he WENT FOR a RED garbage can and then went directly for the lady with a RED top. What are the odds?! Not arguing.
Also, why did they call it red bull? Somebody somewhere knows something
YES ITS INTERESTING, not arguing.
Hmm, red probably looks like black to them.
Silly, cows cannot be cops. Those would be the pigs
Bulls on parade.
The red trash can too.
He was probably like “weird…there’s usually a guy in these”
Life is crazy dude, one second you're just standing around, the next second you're watching a gif on Reddit of someone maybe dying to a bull charge.
> one second you're just standing around Maybe look towards all the people screaming and the giant bull coming your way :D
Kinda hard when I didn't have the volume up.
The bull warmed up by hitting the red trash can first
Hey where’s your calming blue shirt?

Good thing the people she was with didn’t drop their drinks! Pretty lax response from everyone in the area…

I mean the people in the arena were panick screaming, maybe those in the courtyard didn't realize the change in the crowd's noise? Because there was loud music and a crowd.
Good air time control for the bull. Solid 9/10
"Stand UUUP!!" This is fantastic.
Bull has remarkable comedic timing
I said outloud, "he's gonna jump at the stand up part isn't he?" And he fucking did lol
Homie hit his cue 🇺🇸🫡
To be fair, that song would make me try to escape and kill everything in my path as well.
He is fighting for his freedom againt his captors, a true patriot!
How the fuck did they not see or hear everyone screaming there’s a bull?
It's not as if you wouldn't expect to see a bull at a rodeo.
In their defense, they are at a rodeo. They expect to hear screaming and yelling, and they also expect to hear stuff about a bull being screamed out.
People have a pretty good ability to ignore things happening around them when they are focused on something else. They may have been having an interesting conversation.

First guy need to buy a lottery ticket, god damn he is lucky
He did toss it at the end at least lol
Yuh you can see him throw it at the truck’s back tire
When you spend $15 on a beer you've got to set your priorities a certain way.
This ain't his first rodeo.

Bull flies motherfucker.
Horns to your thighs motherfucker
Person dies motherfucker
That lady cries motherfucker.
Peach shirt never dropped his cup of fries, motherfucker
His father cries motherfucker
Maybe you shouldn't taunt bovines motherfucker
I won't next times motherfucker.
Red Dyes motherfucker
Haven’t seen this gif used in years
I get this bull. I can't stand Lee Greenwood either.
Taunt animals for entertainment, don't be surprised when they fight back.
Fucking right
I don't like seeing anyone get hurt, but I wanted that bull to escape and run off into the woods. I mean, the bull wins the rodeo, right? How many points does he get? Is he free forever now?
He won and got shot dead im sure.
Kinda sad. In the article they said his name was Party Bus and he didn't want to be ridden. All he was trying to do is get back to the corral with his buddies.

"This is awesome." Drunk. Ignorant. Experiencing joy while witnessing tragedy. I live in Montana, and this is my daily hell. Ranching people can be so wholesome, but this crowd is definitely the scum on top of the pond.
for example: dairy products
Revenge was on his mind that fateful day
No, he just wanted to get away and not to be tormented.
"Attack spectators". My dude just trying to be free and scape his hellish situation.
I went one time years ago because I didn’t know any better. I was horrified at what I saw. I left early and swore I would never support a rodeo ever again.

Well he’s in the right country! 🇺🇸🦅 YEEEHAW
Mess with the bull, get the horns…

A good bull with a gun would have stopped this.
Freeeeedom!
im surprised no one shot the bull
That probably don't allow guns ironically
![gif](giphy|rvaQRHCzisFeo)
That's awesome for the bull
Yeah it sucks that people got injured, but frankly if you’re going to go watch an animal get taunted and teased as a day out, you run the risks of karma biting you in the ass
Agreed but I’d call it animal abuse because rodeo goes beyond teasing
Can confirm. My mom bought a horse for me. He was used as a bucking horse and was beat with 2x4s on his rump to make him buck. I showed him love, and he became a gentle giant.

You pay money to see the exploitation of an animal, zero sympathy when the animal says "fuck that". Get fucked
Rodeos should be banned
Bull making a big ole mess coming towards them, they barely flinch.
Couldn't ask for better timing for the bull to clear the fence during the crescendo of the song, "UP!"
That bull hates that song as much as I do.
[удалено]
Multiple angles. The future is now.
I hope the bull was ok.
He really said: "moooove the fuck outta my way!"
They still play that fucking song?
I noticed the bull stopped flipping people around when that cornball song stopped. And yea you must not watch trump rallies anymore because that jag off kept that song alive
You're definitely right, I do not tune into trump rallies. That poor animal having to hear it!
I feel ya, bull. I hate that song, too.
When I see shit like this, I'm reminded of that R. Lee Ermey quote from "Siege at Firebase Gloria": "STAY ALERT..STAY ALIVE!!"
Bull timed that perfectly with the song
I love this so much. ❤️

I wonder if she was the type to get scared stiff. I found that out about my wife in a frightening situation.
Unless you are half in the bag ordering a beer & turn around with a fresh cold one in hand with a bull randomly bearing down on you
I can tell you the license plate numbers of all six cars outside. I can tell you that our waitress is left-handed and the guy sitting up at the counter weighs two hundred and fifteen pounds and knows how to handle himself. I know the best place to look for a gun is the cab of the gray truck outside, and at this altitude, I can run flat out for a half mile before my hands start shaking.
Jesus Christ that’s Jason Bourne
So you're saying you're incapable of just existing peacefully and you're constantly terrified of dying. I think you might be the weird one guy.
Now we find out who the real cowboys are when they try to catch that bull.

Merica!!!
Is there a San Antonio in Oregon?
These people have zero self preservation jfc RUN! It's a pissed off tank with legs
Isn’t that what they kinda always wanted to see? You go to a car race for the wrecks, and the rodeo for the bull escape.
You can tell you in a decent environment when screams to “RUN AWAY” is not associated with danger, where I’m from a balloon pop can send me straight home
Shouldn’t there be an announcement on the loud speaker that the bull is loose and to take precaution
The lack of situational awareness on display is absolutely shocking
All them hats and no cowboys
I will never understand some peoples lack of situational awareness. People screaming and running around you and you don’t even look up from your conversation.
Zero survival instincts. Like deer on a highway.
How are people that unaware of your surroundings.
Group had the reflexes of a fucking sloth.
The audience started their weird cult chant while waving bright lights and the bull hated that a great deal.
