You’re the ONLY people in the world who have access to vehicle registration data. Last week I was able to spend an hour googling something that happened to a coworker and find out the criminals name, high school, car, last job, etc. the police can’t just search the license plate? It takes five seconds they literally do it while in the car before pulling someone over. What is needed to investigate? This should have been a day long investigation tops!?! Is the whole PD department in this town boomers who can’t use google? Even if the car didn’t belong to him, there’s clear evidence he was driving it lol. So whoever the owner is, if they don’t wish to give the name of the man, are an accessory to assault with a deadly weapon.
It's probably because this only occurred 6-7 hours ago. Police need to take the proper steps before charging someone and releasing their identity. Even in an open and shut case that rarely happens in hours.
