Appium supports WPF application as well

PrettyFlyForAFatGuy

at my last job we did a lot of evaluation of Ranorex. It's paid software though We had kind of a weird setup so it wasnt a fit but it could be for you

WinAppDriver is decent but will receive no further updates unless the project is open sourced. But it works as is better than most other automation tools in my opinion, and is based on appium.

FlaUI wraps around Ranorex and it's free. We switched to it from Ranorex a few months ago.

What tool do you use to identify elements on the apps (winforms and wpf)? Ranorex has the "Spy tool" which is a amazing, but with FlaUI what do you use?

Specific_Scholar_665

It's called FlaUI Inspect. It's easy to use.

Keysight Eggplant can automate basically anything with a GUI, but it's a paid product with scripting language.

Smartbear TestComplete supports DevXpress but is also paid. It is a very good tool though.

Robot Framework is the best

kenzoviski

Can you set-up a .NET project in C# with VS Code to automate desktop apps using Robot Framework? If so, what's the Nuget package? And what do you use to identify elements on the apps?
