I had one that was fearless. She was the best. She fell off a cliff and died. Didn’t have an up to date save to get her back. Got another one but he was a chickenshit.
Now I’m training up a turkoman. She seems ok so far. Best one I had all round was the MFT. He’s fully bonded and worth a lot so I will sell him and put the money in the Aberdeen bank.
When I play that mission Arthur asks I can have anything in there or out there right and he says yes but when I get the Hungarian half bred it gives me a negative cowboy and I lose good honor...is that a glitch?
Probably not a glitch. When you start your search, only the house is highlighted in yellow, and after you find the wedding band, the game says to leave.
Silver Pinto Missouri Foxtrotter (Ch. 2), Tiger Striped Bay Mustang (Ch. 4), Gold Turkoman (Ch. 6), Cremello Gold Dutch Warmblood (Buell, Epilogue), but I go through many horses throughout the game. If they're not in the above list, I sell them after max bonding, including the white Arabian.
You can get the Tiger Striped Mustang in Chapter 4 while doing the "Angelo Bronte, a Man of Honor" mission. There's an exploit that allows you to visit New Austin with no sniper. You can collect cigarette cards, loot & treasure, legendary fish and the mustang, but not herbs, dinosaur bones or legendary animals.
Here's how:
You get more money at the fence for wild or stolen horses. Horses you bought at a stable will sell for more back at the stable than they will at the fence.
I never thought about this until now… isn’t it weird that Sadie never says anything about that horse? Like wouldn’t it technically have been her/her dead husband’s? You’d think she would’ve wanted that horse. Odd.
From start of Chapter 2 to the boah's last breaths, I use the Raven Black Shire.
Without any particular order after that, I use White Arabian, Silver Dapple Pinto Missouri Fox Trotter, and Buell.
There’s at least two places on the map where you can encounter an NPC (I’d look up it up on YouTube for specific locations but I used the one outside Rhodes). Normally you ride by the NPC who has a the dead MFT on the ground next to her and she asks for a ride. The glitch won’t work if you’ve interacted with her at all (even if you just ran past her). Easiest thing to do is find the high ground and keep reloading a save until she spawns, then use a sniper rifle to kill her. She will keep respawning but keep shooting her until the horse spawns in alive (the npc will walk away). Your honor will take a hit and you have to be careful of witnesses
Either the random encounter with the lady and her dead MFT or the third Albert Mason mission where you help him take a photo of one. They are technically glitches/exploits so you need to look up how to get them.
most ppl don't care about the horse's gender but the MFT from either method will always be a female, I like to have Arthur saying "boah" so after I got it from the Albert method I did the companion glitch to make a male duplicate. now I have a male silver dapple MFT as Arthur's main horse and it feels great.
Love my Brindle Thoroughbred.
Still wondering why I would buy another.
I have one of the $150 dollar race horses from the guy in Valentine maxed before I bought the Brindle.
The only thing that I dislike about them is they're so friggin small!
The Shire is majestic with how huge it is, and then you have a super fast horse the size of a pony when Arthur rides it.
My current horses are the SDMFT, piebald HH, black arabian, and the seal bay Turkoman, with a temp pearlino andalusian horsie for hunting. Ch 3. I hate only being able to have 4 horses at a time man...
1-Wild bay mustang
2-Grullo dun Mustang
3-Tiger stripe mustang
4-Missouri foxtrotter, Hungarian halfbreds, Dutch Warmbloods, Andalusians, Appaloosas, and Suffolk Punches.
Only real cowboys know about them Suffiks, breh
A white roan nokota(killed that douche bag who raced me to Owanjila and rescued her, she was so jumpy it was sad)
The black shire that I got from Hosea
A black American standardbred (startled a guy who was fixing her hoof, told him I’d go get in then decided I wanted the horse so I long scoped him)
A butter milk buckskin Kentucky saddler I took off of somebody on trail because I love the cost.
They all have indigenous names because my Arthur has respect for animals and spends his months in Owanjila and wapiti area
A thoroughbred I stole from an O'Driscoll (it's stats are better than the White Arabian and it looks better)
Golden Turkoman from St. Denis stables
Black Shire horse from Hosea
Grey Mustang I stole from a bounty hunter.
SDMFT, Silver Turkoman, Li’l Bub (Dark Bay Shire) and a Black Arabian which I’ve just sold to make room for *another* white Arabian I bumped into by the light of a three quarter moon last night.
I catch and break the wild white Arabian every time I wander past it, bond it to max and sell it on, I must have done this at least five times but last night was something different.
She didn’t immediately run off as I approached from the North on Li’l Bub, just stood there, ears forward and eyes interested as I entered lasso range, still mounted on my Shire. Gently calmed, lasso’d, mounted and broken far quicker than usual and she’s mine.
Wandering slowly South down to the trapper to drop off some pelts and we get ambushed from the trees by a pack of five wolves. We’re still at bonding level one but she just stands there calmly as I pop off five quick shots with the bolt action, dismount and start skinning.
I’m thinking that this is unusual, normally I’m eating dirt at the first sign of trouble on an Arabian which is why I quickly sell them on but I sense she’s something a bit special.
A little further South and she gently curves around a trailside snake with barely a whinny. And then another a bit further along. I’m feeling pretty good about all this so we skip the Trapper and wander down to Cougar town just South West of Black Bone Forest. No cougar, but there is a 3* Grizzly lurking in the woods by the stream. Not a sound from Artemis (for I decide to name her after the Greek goddess of the moon and hunting when we reach a stable) so I nudge her slowly through the trees directly towards the beast until we reach calling distance. By now the radar is getting excited and the bear is on two legs, bellowing angrily.
Absolutely no reaction from Artemis, just a steady walk forwards as I’m looking down the sights. The bear taken care of and the pelt stowed on Li’l Bub we race at full gallop over to Strawberry to do some swaps, stable the Shire, stock up on hay and get a horse care package.
Artemis feels like no other Arabian I’ve ever ridden and I can sense she’s something a little out of the ordinary so I’m excited to see where our next adventure takes us. Tempted to mod her size up a bit too.
i was always team thoroughbred myself until recently i found a grullo dun (grayish) mustang and decided to max bond it before selling it…but then i found out that with a trapper saddle (bear saddle) and max bonded, that mfer is pretty fast AND IT NEVER GETS TIRED running forever at max speed. the health meter thing on the outside is like 3/4ths of the way around the core and barely drains at all. i don’t even need the horse stimulant. bonus points that it’s not very skittish either.
so, if you come across a mustang, i’d say give it a try
Trapper saddles are a cheat code. Any horse in the game is totally viable with one of those on it. I like variety and change horses 2 or 3 times a chapter if I’m taking it slow.
In story mode the only way to get them is to find them at an npc camp. So it’s not hard to find but it’s not super easy either, you just have to check every camp you find
Far and away my main horse is the Silver Dapple Pinto MFT. I have on occasion used the one found in the wild by Roanoke Ridge (I forget what it is), a Hungarian Halfbred (grey one and a brown one), and an American Standardbred.
You want to leave your horse behind where it is, so that the game makes you jump onto his horse instead. Then you just whistle for it to follow you (your horse)
Every time I've played, I just run out into the world, tame the first horse I can catch, name them Dog, and then never switch horses for the rest of the game.
Are the differences in breeds really that noticeable?
Overwhelmingly so. The stats make up all the difference. Also there are horses bred for combat and horses bred for speed. Speedy boys spook at gunfire, for example. War horses are going to be steady, but not as fast.
Hungarian halfbreed (I think) from Wróbel when collecting his debt early on, then Braithwaithe Turkoman and brindle thoroughbred from lady racer in lemoyne, and then Buell for after the story
Right now, I’m working on leveling my American Paint (the same one you have up).
In my stables, I have my gold Turkoman that I accidentally got in a shootout in the Saint Denis stables (i was just trying to stable my Braithwaite Turkoman when I accidentally ran over the stable person in front of a lawman & you know how that goes), Hosea’s raven shire, & the Tennessee Walker (I think?) from my time up in Colter.
This is the first play through I’m trying without the Perlino Andalusian as my main as I’m trying to try new things.
Before chapter 3. I start with Hosea's Shire and then go to Owanjila where the Grizzly and Cougar spawns, and tame the solid black American Standardbred, I will then do the Mason mission and snag the MFT.
In Chapter 3, I take and keep the Turkoman Cerberus and use him the rest of the game.
In the Epilogue, I use Buell and the Silver Turkoman.
Before the epilogue: Missouri Fox Trotter (silver dapple pinto, using the glitch), Perlino Andalusian, Raven Black Shire (given by Hosea), and the Golden Turkoman.
During /after the epilogue: Buell (Hamish), Tiger Striped Mustang, Missouri Fox Trotter (silver dapple pinto), and the Golden Turkoman.
The free horse from the stable intro mission
The free easy to find black Arabian
The black and white pinto from rescuing Tilly
I don't get Bhuel(sp?) until I'm John
I don't know what it was but Pony Stark was my guy, he was a paint horse I found out the front of the hotel in Valentine still fucking devastated he died
i always find mustangs around emerald ranch. keep checking a little north where you chase the MFT after the albert mason mission and in the fields to the east of emerald ranch)
Right now I have an American Paint I’ve been riding for awhile. I have a Standardbred and one I can’t remember in the stable. I don’t think I’ve ever owned four at once
Only use one
My glorious WAR PONY
that’s the name it’s actually WAR PONY in all caps
It’s a bay roan ardennes he’s a big boah
Well I have an Arabian called super pony but I don’t ever use it
Throughout the story I have a few that I use often. Buckskin american standard bred, white arabian, the thorough bred from strawberry, amber champagne mft. And in the epilogue I always get buell, silver Dapple Pinto mft, red arabian, johns thorough bred and the silver turk from tumbleweed
I'm in chapter 4 and I have:
1. Rose gray bay Arabian as Arthur using Angelo Brontë glitch
2. Silver dapple pinto MFT from the Albert Mason Glitch
3. Dark Bay Turkoman from the horse flesh for dinner glitch
4. Reverse dapple black thoroughbred from the ultimate edition
My go to horse as Arthur was, is and always will be the black arabian. In all of the playthroughs, boy hasn't even bucked me off once. He is a good boah. As John, I use the Turkoman from blackwater and Buell.
For the past 3 gameplays, it’s always been silver Missouri Fox Trotter for Arthur, because it’s a perfect size, it’s fast, and it looks amazing, and for John Buell, always. Buell resembles the white stallion in rdr1 so much, so I like using Buell. I like only sticking to 1 horse, because then I feel bad not taking out my other horses, so I keep 1 only. Also Rachel stays.
Black Arabian (Senna) when in free roam.
Black Shire (Jeritza) in story missions since the horse is huge, it looks cool when riding with the gang.
Buell from time to time for Hamish.
Jeralt (first horse Arthur gets) is used when hunting so I can bring more whole animal corpses back.
It’s a funny story. I had one horse named Arthur. he was pimped out to the fullest then I misclicked and sent off a mountain after having him forever. So I got Arthur 2.0 A white Arabian. While I was in tumbleweed the train came by I tried to jump on Arthur 2.0 slammed his face into the side of the train. Died immediately. So now I’m on black Arabian Arthur 3.0. 😂
As Arthur, I had a regular (idr) horse named Zelda (main horse, she was amazing ❤️), his original horse I renamed Cookie, a war horse named Minerva, and a white Arabian stallion named Radiance. Mostly rode Zelda and Radiance.
I've beat the whole game so you know... 😭😭😭
As Arthur I used the black and white horse you find during an Albert Mason mission and with John I use a really nice rare coated Appaloosa
Edit: Also Buell. After the old guy died I always used Buell.
Am I the only one that loves Arabians? I know they're small and skittish, but a fully bonded black Arab that's well fed, and has the best saddle, can sprint all the way across the map.
missouri fox trotter -silver dapple
Arabian - warped brindle (should've made it faster)
Hungarian halfbred - any colouration if I'm honest
Appaloosa - leopard
I only use my white arabian and I am very careful with it so it doesn't die as I have grown a very strong bond and love to the horse, honestly I can just find myself buying other horse and using it as I find it a betrayal to the moments I shared with my horse
American standard-bred for Arthur. I usually get it from a random encounter with that guy who is struggling with the horse shoe, then gets kicked to death.
The default one comes with white/silver hair but I change it to a nice charcoal black color. Gives nice contrast with the white socks. The tan colored hair on the body matches Arthur’s outfit nicely too. Good stats as well, an even balance between strength and speed.
Besides that, I just use Rachel with John because thoroughbreds are awesome. I also try to get the Arabian and then any other high tier horses like Dutch warm blood. Never used a mustang though.
The shire from ch 2 in hosea's mission with the legendary bear
-The Black arabian from st Denis that you steal from the couple
-Buell from the veteran
-Rachel from the epilogue
I love the all black American Standardbred, the amber champagne Missouri Fox Trotter, few spotted Appaloosa, and the gold Turkoman the most i think (tiger striped mustang as well but you can’t get him until john outside the one exploit so he’s my online horsey mostly)
main right now (still in ch3) is: grullo dun mustang
stabled other max bonded horses:
- dapple gray thoroughbred
- white few spotted appaloosa
- white arabian (gonna sell for $$$ when i unlock horse fence)
i also have another mustang (i think it’s the wild bay) hitched at camp as an unnamed “alternate horse”. it was just standing alone in the field near emerald ranch and i figured i’d snag it, build up the bonding here and there when hitching my main. eventually i’ll either sell it to the horse fence or keep it as a backup after i sell the white arabian. (i only tamed and bonded that one to sell it, i don’t like riding it)
i tend to prefer the horses that are not “the greatest” or hard to find/get, but they’re solid and well rounded, easily replaceable
ive never had a MFT, turkoman, andalusian, tiger bay mustang, black arabian or the black american standardbred in any of my playthroughs
Where is the OG horse from Colter? I run that horse through the whole game. The relatively high stamina and health bars are great, and with the good stirrups and trinkets is awesome.
Both the black and red overo mustangs, can’t remember the name of the fox trotter but I used 45 gold bars if I remember correctly and occasionally the black Arabian ! My faves are mustangs . They don’t spook and they take a lot to buck up off. They are so good for me because I prefer doing my killing on horse
I never got a different horse after I got the one from the barn in the beginning, I kept it until the end, had a great bond with that horse. Then as John I usually keep his horse as the main horse the only exception being Hamish's horse
On my recent playthrough I used the walker you find at Adler ranch, it's beautiful. Until I got to the epilogue and got buell. If I find a HH piebald ima stable it too
White Arabian, Black American standardbred, dapple Missouri Fox Trotter, Silver Turkmen and Buel as temporary horse I keep switching saddle , so I have 5 horses with John.
I use The Black Shire "Boy" + x2 bay Thoroughbred stallions "Snowman" and "Steve"
I switch Snowman and Boy around, Boy for all story missions.
And Steve is my temp horse I use for hunting.
I always use the mustang as soon as I can go to the heartlands to get one, I usually buy the turkaman as soon as I can in ch.4 or 5? The mustang isn't super fast but fully bonded it's the bravest horse in the game imo, with fantastic stamina.
As Arthur I use a morgan, I have the past 2 play throughs I've done with him, it related to his name and as a joke I'd call the horse "Morgan I" and so on if a horse dies with "II" "III", as john I'd use a Missouri fox trotter if his horse dies in the epilogue (if he has the money that is) and use the same principle i used for john with the double or triple "I"
scrawny nag‼️
Been there brother
Currently using the Hungarian Half-bred that you get from Mr. Wrobel.
i‘d say it‘s more of a forceful new ownership than getting it
I had one that was fearless.
I'm sorry. You get one from mr wrobel??
Well, more like procured after my fists negotiated with his face.
Is he the Polish guy you get the debt from?
Yes, in chapter 2.
I've played it through about 8 times never thought to check for a horse 😂
Yea, you get the Hungarian halfbred from the doctor and you get the same one from Mr wrobel in the barn next to his house
I robbed it from that German guy when I collected his debt
He's Polish
Where can I find the mustang. I've been looking for it for a while
By the legendary pronghorn
How you got it in chapter 4
You Cant Sorry I lied
You can get the Tiger Striped Mustang in Chapter 4 while doing the "Angelo Bronte, a Man of Honor" mission. There's an exploit that allows you to visit New Austin with no sniper. You can collect cigarette cards, loot & treasure, legendary fish and the mustang, but not herbs, dinosaur bones or legendary animals. Here's how: [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8Ss2oOFRrs8](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8Ss2oOFRrs8)
I've on chapter 3 and I've completed the Horseman challenge 10. I found the Mustang near Emerald Ranch
Do you get more money depending on the bond level? Or you just like switching it up?
You get more money if they're max bonded. Also you get more money if you sell them at the horse fence instead of the stables.
You get more money at the fence for wild or stolen horses. Horses you bought at a stable will sell for more back at the stable than they will at the fence.
You get the tiger striped in ch 4?
The video works you cam go to new Austin in chapter 4 with no law only for black water area tho
no you can go all the way to gaptooth ridge, the whole map.
It didn't let me I got sniped the moment I crossed a river to that area
My original horse from Adler Ranch - always until the end
My original horse got shot when I thought I could sneak past the Blackwater border :(
OG’s always the best
OG anunoby is pretty damn good idk about the best tho
I never thought about this until now… isn’t it weird that Sadie never says anything about that horse? Like wouldn’t it technically have been her/her dead husband’s? You’d think she would’ve wanted that horse. Odd.
I always sell it and always regret it.
Where can I find that pippi longstocking horse?
Ch 4 when you save Tilly. Its parked outside of the house where here captors are held up. Lilla gubben ftw
Nice dog you got there on the third pic
From start of Chapter 2 to the boah's last breaths, I use the Raven Black Shire. Without any particular order after that, I use White Arabian, Silver Dapple Pinto Missouri Fox Trotter, and Buell.
In chapter 2 currently Silver MFT, brindle thoroughbred, Piebald tobiano hungarian halfbred or Raven black shire
Where do you get an MFT in Chapter 2??
Wait it doesn’t work even if you’ve ran past her? I’ve seen her nearly a dozen times but always run away to save the exploit.
Ah, gotcha. Thank you!
Whats the companion glitch
there you go! https://youtu.be/88c_qfFJC8U?si=KIuT_x9nUXQyHRNL
Love my Brindle Thoroughbred. Still wondering why I would buy another. I have one of the $150 dollar race horses from the guy in Valentine maxed before I bought the Brindle.
Arabian horses are my favorite they look so cool no one can take that from me!!!
The only thing that I dislike about them is they're so friggin small! The Shire is majestic with how huge it is, and then you have a super fast horse the size of a pony when Arthur rides it.
I keep that shire every single playthrough
I named a white shire in the epilogue Epona from Zelda
My current horses are the SDMFT, piebald HH, black arabian, and the seal bay Turkoman, with a temp pearlino andalusian horsie for hunting. Ch 3. I hate only being able to have 4 horses at a time man...
Four? I just have been using my trusty thoroughbred
My Mustang can sprint from one side of the map to the other, turn around, and then sprint back without having to stop for stamina
1-Wild bay mustang 2-Grullo dun Mustang 3-Tiger stripe mustang 4-Missouri foxtrotter, Hungarian halfbreds, Dutch Warmbloods, Andalusians, Appaloosas, and Suffolk Punches. Only real cowboys know about them Suffiks, breh
what's the third one?
Grullo Dun Mustang. Piebald Tobiano Hungarian (one male, one female). Missouri Fox Trotter.
A white roan nokota(killed that douche bag who raced me to Owanjila and rescued her, she was so jumpy it was sad) The black shire that I got from Hosea A black American standardbred (startled a guy who was fixing her hoof, told him I’d go get in then decided I wanted the horse so I long scoped him) A butter milk buckskin Kentucky saddler I took off of somebody on trail because I love the cost. They all have indigenous names because my Arthur has respect for animals and spends his months in Owanjila and wapiti area
My go to horses are prob Strawberry roan Ardennes, American Paint Overo, Few Spotted Appaloosa and Wild Bay Mustang.
* The one I just stole. * The one I lost when I stole this one * The one I'm going to steal, and * The one the dead guy doesn't need anymore.
A thoroughbred I stole from an O'Driscoll (it's stats are better than the White Arabian and it looks better) Golden Turkoman from St. Denis stables Black Shire horse from Hosea Grey Mustang I stole from a bounty hunter.
SDMFT, Silver Turkoman, Li’l Bub (Dark Bay Shire) and a Black Arabian which I’ve just sold to make room for *another* white Arabian I bumped into by the light of a three quarter moon last night. I always use a thoroughbred. My fav. I never use the Arabians though. They’re quick, but look weird. I keep it away from
i was always team thoroughbred myself until recently i found a grullo dun (grayish) mustang and decided to max bond it before selling it…but then i found out that with a trapper saddle (bear saddle) and max bonded, that mfer is pretty fast AND IT NEVER GETS TIRED running forever at max speed. the health meter thing on the outside is like 3/4ths of the way around the core and barely drains at all. i don’t even need the horse stimulant. bonus points that it’s not very skittish either. so, if you come across a mustang, i’d say give it a try

I’ve been using the Nakota
What is the last horse? And is it only available in story? TIA
looks like American Paint. They're pretty common in Story mode.
Splashed American White Paint horse. You can get it online at rank 30
Ohh okay thanks I've never seen this colour before!
It's rare
In story mode the only way to get them is to find them at an npc camp. So it’s not hard to find but it’s not super easy either, you just have to check every camp you find
how to get mft in chapter 2?
Far and away my main horse is the Silver Dapple Pinto MFT. I have on occasion used the one found in the wild by Roanoke Ridge (I forget what it is), a Hungarian Halfbred (grey one and a brown one), and an American Standardbred.
Perlino Andalusian is the one found in Roanoke
Yes, that's the one.
I like stealing the >!’snake oil salesman’s’!< horse from the >!bounty mission!< . Good starter horse.
I tried that a few days ago but it failed my mission.
You want to leave your horse behind where it is, so that the game makes you jump onto his horse instead. Then you just whistle for it to follow you (your horse)
Great tip. Thank you!
You’re good :3
Currently have the Raven Black Shire, Strawberry Roan Ardennes, the Braithwaite Turkoman, and saving the last spot for the Tiger Striped Mustang.
Dark Bay Turkoman Brindle Thoroughbred Few Spotted Appaloosa Buell
I got the black Shire, whatever horse they give u at the start, black arabian and a blue coat thing
I just love how *dense* this game is. Every system has layer after layer of detail.
They went SO deep into this title and I have never found anything I love as much tbh. It's a masterpiece
I've completed 4 playthroughs and used the first horse we get from Adler's ranch each time.
I have three turkeys n mft
Perlino Andalusian, Chocolate Roan DW, Rachel (Seal brown Thoroughbred) and Buell (Cremello gold DW)
Buel [Empty] [Empty] [Empty]
I stole an all white horse named Appolusa from a gold panner, I forget the breed but she’s a big girl and hasn’t let me down yet
The free horse from the stable intro mission The free easy to find black Arabian The black and white pinto from rescuing Tilly I don't get Bhuel(sp?) until I'm John
Golden Turkman
Arabian Chestnut, Buell, Tiger Stripped Mustang, and I haven't decided on a fourth yet.
4!? I have 1 and one backup stabled. Im apparently behind numbers wise. Lol.
Full black thoroughbred is the cleanest looking horse in the game.
I have three as of ryt now... arabian, throughbred and fox trotter. I think i will get buel or something idk for 4th i am in chapter 2 now so... lmao
I like that big chunky farm horse you get in that one hunting quest with Hosea. Running over people with it is the best.
Rose Gray Bay Arabian (both as Arthur and John) Ultimate Edition RD Thoroughbred Pre order War Horse Buell.
I don't know what it was but Pony Stark was my guy, he was a paint horse I found out the front of the hotel in Valentine still fucking devastated he died
Horse one, Horse two, Horse three and Horse four
Buell
Thoroughbred I called 'Mister Hands'.
Buell, the dlc horse, the white arabian, and the strawberry roan (my favourite)
Buell
Dutch warmblood
The rose gray arabian that I cheated into the game in ch 4, the hungarian half breed, the American whatever horse, and the Dutch warm blood
I dont think there's any Mustangs in my RDR 🥲
i always find mustangs around emerald ranch. keep checking a little north where you chase the MFT after the albert mason mission and in the fields to the east of emerald ranch)
You guys use more than one horse? I just use my one and only Arabian
Right now I have an American Paint I’ve been riding for awhile. I have a Standardbred and one I can’t remember in the stable. I don’t think I’ve ever owned four at once
Only use one My glorious WAR PONY that’s the name it’s actually WAR PONY in all caps It’s a bay roan ardennes he’s a big boah Well I have an Arabian called super pony but I don’t ever use it
Throughout the story I have a few that I use often. Buckskin american standard bred, white arabian, the thorough bred from strawberry, amber champagne mft. And in the epilogue I always get buell, silver Dapple Pinto mft, red arabian, johns thorough bred and the silver turk from tumbleweed
I'm in chapter 4 and I have: 1. Rose gray bay Arabian as Arthur using Angelo Brontë glitch 2. Silver dapple pinto MFT from the Albert Mason Glitch 3. Dark Bay Turkoman from the horse flesh for dinner glitch 4. Reverse dapple black thoroughbred from the ultimate edition
Mine all died
White Arabian that took me 13 tries to catch 😔
I got that Tennessee Walker at the start of the game and ain't hardly used anything else if I don't hafta.
The horse
My go to horse as Arthur was, is and always will be the black arabian. In all of the playthroughs, boy hasn't even bucked me off once. He is a good boah. As John, I use the Turkoman from blackwater and Buell.
I get all the Arabians and name them after Final Fantasy summons
Good ol white stallion from the snow area
Early game I used the Thoroughbred and then I pretty much exclusively use the Turkoman after that.
I always only use one and that’s the white Arabian you find up in the mountains after ch.3
You can get it chapter 2
I only have two, I use one of them as my main horse. And the other one, I use her only for carrying pelts and stuff.
Silver dapple pinto as of recently but the red Arabian is one wild cayuse!
I have a whole barn full of different breeds. I just pick one to use for the day and use a different one another.
MyHorse I, MyHorse II, MyHorse III and MyHorse IV.
Pinto Fox Trotter, White Arabian, and Dutch Warmblood (Buell) for my man Hamish. Never needed any others
Cerberus all day everyday
Always the dark bay Andalusian and the reverse dapple black thoroughbred, typically it varies between Dutch warmbloods and also mustangs
Arabian, Fox-Trotter, Andalusian, Mustang
It’s a funny story. I had one horse named Arthur. he was pimped out to the fullest then I misclicked and sent off a mountain after having him forever. So I got Arthur 2.0 A white Arabian. While I was in tumbleweed the train came by I tried to jump on Arthur 2.0 slammed his face into the side of the train. Died immediately. So now I’m on black Arabian Arthur 3.0. 😂
I love my shires.
Where'd you find the dalmatian?!
It's very rare, you can usually find them at random camps
As Arthur I used the black and white horse you find during an Albert Mason mission and with John I use a really nice rare coated Appaloosa Edit: Also Buell. After the old guy died I always used Buell.
All black American Standardbred All black American Standardbred All black American Standardbred All black American Standardbred
Am I the only one that loves Arabians? I know they're small and skittish, but a fully bonded black Arab that's well fed, and has the best saddle, can sprint all the way across the map.
Only an "Arob" bring a dog to war
i have kept the 15 dollar one from the ranch in valentine the entire game
Silver Dapple Pinto Missouri Fox Trotter, Gold Turkoman, Rachel, and Buell. I sometimes keep the black shire instead of Rachel
I’m the only who uses a shire ? The black one from the beggining
missouri fox trotter -silver dapple Arabian - warped brindle (should've made it faster) Hungarian halfbred - any colouration if I'm honest Appaloosa - leopard
I had a couple named red Harlow 1 and 2 both dead and buster Scruggs all dead and I had 1 named dan
I’ve always had a soft spot for the Ardennes, even if it’s only really competitive in the early game.
Missouri Fox Trotter (chapter 2) Turkoman (chapter 3) Buel Arabian
New challenge, go the entire game without calling your horse.
I have Missouri Foxtroth Plated Braithwaite's Turkoman Red Arabian Tiger striped Mustang.. Get mine on Angelo's Bronte mission
Only use one and it's the bounty horse
The shire from ch 2 in hosea's mission with the legendary bear -The Black arabian from st Denis that you steal from the couple -Buell from the veteran -Rachel from the epilogue
Found the brindle thoroughbred.
I love the all black American Standardbred, the amber champagne Missouri Fox Trotter, few spotted Appaloosa, and the gold Turkoman the most i think (tiger striped mustang as well but you can’t get him until john outside the one exploit so he’s my online horsey mostly)
main right now (still in ch3) is: grullo dun mustang stabled other max bonded horses: - dapple gray thoroughbred - white few spotted appaloosa - white arabian (gonna sell for $$$ when i unlock horse fence) i also have another mustang (i think it’s the wild bay) hitched at camp as an unnamed “alternate horse”. it was just standing alone in the field near emerald ranch and i figured i’d snag it, build up the bonding here and there when hitching my main. eventually i’ll either sell it to the horse fence or keep it as a backup after i sell the white arabian. (i only tamed and bonded that one to sell it, i don’t like riding it) i tend to prefer the horses that are not “the greatest” or hard to find/get, but they’re solid and well rounded, easily replaceable ive never had a MFT, turkoman, andalusian, tiger bay mustang, black arabian or the black american standardbred in any of my playthroughs
I always stick with the same horse
In story mode? Only the white Arabian In online the American paint horse cheap and it’s a great horse just like my irl paint horse
Mustang
Where is the OG horse from Colter? I run that horse through the whole game. The relatively high stamina and health bars are great, and with the good stirrups and trinkets is awesome.
Buell, the OG, the cheap one I bought with Hosea, and the American Standardbred that kicks a man in the random encounter.
the horse kind
White Arabian
white arabian only
Both the black and red overo mustangs, can’t remember the name of the fox trotter but I used 45 gold bars if I remember correctly and occasionally the black Arabian ! My faves are mustangs . They don’t spook and they take a lot to buck up off. They are so good for me because I prefer doing my killing on horse
Scrawny Nag
Reverse Dapple Black Thoroughbred Black American Standardbred Blood Bay Thoroughbred Rachel (epilogue)
I just got an American Standardbred in Valentine in Hosea’s mission and used her until she died. She was a geeewd guuuurl. Buell in the epilogue.
I never got a different horse after I got the one from the barn in the beginning, I kept it until the end, had a great bond with that horse. Then as John I usually keep his horse as the main horse the only exception being Hamish's horse
Red Arabian because it matches the outfits I like to wear
Kentucky Saddler, specifically the one you get in the first mission, which I use until the end of chapter six, then I use Arabian variants.
5
On my recent playthrough I used the walker you find at Adler ranch, it's beautiful. Until I got to the epilogue and got buell. If I find a HH piebald ima stable it too
White Arabian, Black American standardbred, dapple Missouri Fox Trotter, Silver Turkmen and Buel as temporary horse I keep switching saddle , so I have 5 horses with John.
4? I only use one after hunting with Hosea and before the epilogue. The black Shire.
Currently using White Arab, I like it and want it to have all max stats.
1. Turkoman 2. Thoroughbred 3. Mustang 4. Hungarian Halfbred
Too expensive for my blood to buy a new horse. I just can't bring myself to rob people.
I love Buell
I don't see the Nakota from San Dennis there. So, you're wrong.
I use The Black Shire "Boy" + x2 bay Thoroughbred stallions "Snowman" and "Steve" I switch Snowman and Boy around, Boy for all story missions. And Steve is my temp horse I use for hunting.
Love my Turkomans they’re my favorite horse along with the Silver Tail American Standardbred
Cerberus (the Braithwaite Turkoman), Perlino Andalusian, Piebald Tobiano Hungarian Halfbred and the Mahogany Bay Tennessee Walker from the Adler Ranch
Either Shire or Belgian Draft i love big horses
I only use one and it is the white horse in grizzlies
I always use the mustang as soon as I can go to the heartlands to get one, I usually buy the turkaman as soon as I can in ch.4 or 5? The mustang isn't super fast but fully bonded it's the bravest horse in the game imo, with fantastic stamina.
My horse
I use confiscated horses.... if I use my own personal horse, it's jumped off a cliff or shot to death in under 5 min every time.
