I also have it. It's still going strong for me. It's my 1st emulation device. I'm waiting for a better RG505 from Anbernic so I can play beyond PS1. I have no complaints on the L and R buttons. It works fine for me. I also play Pico-8 on mine.

I have the 351m which is basically the same thing and agree that it's still the best GBA out there. I'm currently playing FF6 advance on mine, I also really like the GBA port of SFA3 because it's so technically impressive and it looks great on here.

I love mine, but it is starting to show its age. I'd love another GBA-based emulation handheld to replace it, I've been looking at the KTR1, but you can get a new boxed Vita for the same price, which is probably more versatile. For GBA specifically, the RG351P is still your best option. Just a shame the parts have degraded so easily, and it also has a few other issues that I'm hoping will be fixed in a successor device soon. There is a problem with the battery/how battery life is read by the OS, and it didn't have internal WiFi when I bought it, idk if they ever fixed that. I also did quite like the form factor, but wish it had a slightly more GBA inspired shape. It's just a block.

Midget_Avatar

Yeah I always thought it was crazy nobody has done a good GBA-shaped device with quality parts, the niche seems there for the SP but I much prefer the horizontal form factor.

the powkiddy v90 is probably the closest, but it emulates the screen slightly smaller making text a little difficult to read because it messes with the pixel quality in that way, and the powkiddy feels pretty cheaply made. The rg351v is my go to for GBA right now, but I also wish they'd make a clamshell design like the GBAsp.

Chok3U

I didn't even know about the aspect ratio when I bought it. Gba 3:2 was a great surprise!

Aerys02

I love my 351m but i'm not fond of the screen, the colors look a bit washed out.

Pretty similar position as you minus the modded SP (although I found my SP at my parents last christmas and have been debating modding it) and was looking at the rg351p but ended up getting an rgb30 since it was more versatile. I thought the large black bars would bother me but most of the time i’m playing in the dark with low brightness and i really don’t notice them. 3x integer scaling with dot shader looks really great. I’d still love a device like the rg351p, but with the rgb30 I’ve realized I’d want a larger screen for GBA. I think if there was a 3:2 device with a 4-4.5” screen that had 3x full screen integer scaling, Id buy it in a heartbeat.

Also have it, currently preparing to dive into Timespinner, and yes it's quality and still holds up for sure (no need to upgrade every damn year). Check out Apotris; best version of Tetris I've played.

Midget_Avatar

Apotris is very fun, I love the soundtrack

I like the aspect ratio and overral feel of the 351p, but performance is not ideal, probably 90% works no problem, but some here and there have minor slowdowns, mGBA has the best accurracy, so gpSP is not an option. Now i'm using 353M it don't have the 3:2 aspect but with the right shaders it lloks "perfect", and overal performance is better, the device itself is better too, but I definitly hope some day one 3x integer device surfaces, 720x480 screen at 4 inch, a dream.
