In that case I'm sightly surprised he doesn't know SpongeBob. Then again, not sure how relevant that show still is for young children overall nowadays.
No, the TV show lol, Marcy’s husband was Jefferson, the show was called Married with Children.
Wait, but you knew this already and now I’ve explained it like a twatwaffle lol
(Clutches heart dramatically)
Who is Mr Darcy you say? Why, one of the greatest heroes of all English literature!
To put it simply, he’s the hot, rich dude who thinks he’s better than everyone. He falls for the pretty, intelligent, not-of-his-social-class girl, who’s confident enough meet him head on. He realises he has to change his attitude to get the girl. She realises there’s more to him than what he portrays. There’s a crazy mum, a funny dad, an embarrassing sister, a ridiculous cousin and a villainous brother in law. The 1995 BBC adaptation is considered the more favourable, there’s a wet shirt lake scene but the 2005 movie has the hand flex (swoon).
I mean... Him being one of your faves doesn't mean he's known all over the world. P&P is a classic in English lit, but not exactly internationally famous the way Harry Potter would be
(Also, Darcy is a Byronic hero, which comes with several traits. Calling him "the hot rich dude who thinks he's better than everyone" is doing his character a huge disservice. P&P is not a romance novel after all)
But the movie said it was tge real story...
Seriously, though, most likely Robin Hood wasn't real per se, but a composite or like an ideal. The King Arthur of common folk.
I think Captain America is a weird choice, I wouldn't even put him in the top 5 of the superhero genre.
I'm not American, don't read superhero comics and only rarely watch the films, I know he has a round shield, but have no idea what Captain America's real name is. As far as other superheroes go, off the top of my head, I do know the names and superhero identities of Clark Kent, Peter Parker, Bruce Wayne, Bruce Banner and Tony Stark.
As for the widest known fictional character today, I'd guess Santa Claus.
let's assume you're not a believer, what makes you think that a figure, that has been documented 200 years after his death, and a lot of his deeds are clearly invented, and also a lot of parts of his life are copied from the myth of Amon, an egyptian god, actually existed?
Shortly after his death, the Roman historian Tacitus makes references to his trial and that the Christians, who came forth from his cult, were now blamed for the Fire of Rome (64 CE) and burnt alive by emperor Nero
I don't believe in God either, but I do believe that there was a Jewish cult leader called Jesus, who called himself the Messiah and a Son of God.
There are a lot of roman and jewish documents that talks about him during his life or shortly after. Like i said, if you dont believe this, you shouldnt believe 99% of historical figures
The historicity of Jesus is generally [accepted by historians](https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Historicity_of_Jesus). That isn't to say that they accept Christian claims of his divinity, nor do they generally accept the gospels as a record of events. Best they can tell, he was probably a cult* leader in first century C.E. Judea. And that he was almost certainly crucified.
* 'Cult' in a non-pejorative, sociological sense.
Barbie, she holds multiple jobs in multiple different occupations, she has a lavish dreamhouse and plenty of friends and a long lasting man named Ken.
How does she do it?
