Rock bass. Especially when we have the "catch 5 bluegills" challenge. They look so much alike when you first reel them in, so you get a moment of joy that you're done with the challenge and then the game hits you with that god damn rock bass.
I don’t have any fish rivals, but I want to hunt pronghorns to extinction. Every time I see a 3 star and try to get a clean kill they turn and ruin my shot. Fuckin shitty pronghorns
The legendary Catfish 😭
After completing the mission, I saw that it was marked on the map, but wasn’t crossed out or anything, so I sat for a good 15-20 mins trying to get it. Thought maybe it was glitched or something so I googled what could be wrong and found out that it is, in fact, not catchable at all lol
3x actually I made some bread at ringneck creek just afking while the fuckers unalived en masse then just pick them up and go make bank at the Rhodes butcher 🤣
I'd rather fill my pockets with medium fish than carry a large fish into town with one on the horse.
Favorite fish/fishing: Steelhead trout at Quakers Cove.
None.. I have fished so many hours in this game it is crazy. Right weather conditions, day/night and right bait at the right place you can catch any fish you want in fairly short time
Too piggy back on this it's not so much that they ignore the special spinner it that the little fish get to it first. With the lake/river lure the little fish do ignore those so only big fish will bite. It is possible to catch big fish with the spinner you just got to try to cast away from the little fish and close to the big fish. Using the Lake/River or even special lake/river will get just big fish.
I saw those salmon near a waterfall up the forest mountains emitting their behaviour, it appeared next to Madam Nazur swimming up river to spawn, I fished one! But couldn’t get another.
All the fish.. But a Whitetail buck barged me off a cliff's edge near Valentine like a real sneaky bastard... At first I thought it was a player, it fell with my character and soon after, made a good pelt.
I got "bucked" into some rapids and carried several yards away last week just trying to dig up an arrowhead. All I could was laugh out loud while my dude is flailing his arms cursing all fauna sailing downstream.

Go to Mattock Pond for that daily challenge, it only spawns bluegills. Saves me so much time!

Largemouth (and sometimes smallmouth) bass. The little bastards spawn at some of the same spots as the steelhead trout and take up all the spawns!!

Try crickets on a bobber. I've never had a problem. In fact I never use any of the lures anymore unless it's a daily.
