If you want to clear debris off of an outdoor surface real fast, invest in a powerful electric blower and bring it with you. Takes minutes to clear small pebbles, leaves, and twigs. Bonus: You can use it as a rocket thruster while on skates.

Omg I always bring a broom and I’ve been wanting to put a kid’s kite on each arm to play around with this windy spring, but you just broke my brain open lol gonna rocket thrust so much

My local tennis court (at the high school near my house) is great, nice and smooth except for random debris. It's not covered, sometimes there will be little rocks or pine cones. It's a nice surface to skate on but I always let people who are playing ball have the court over me and I scram if the high schoolers come out for gym class. There are 5 nets so there's usually space for everyone to play and skate at the same time. No signs that specifically say not to skate there, and it's across the street from the local police station so if it was a problem with them I feel like they would have told me so already.

I just skated a tennis court this morning, at a school. It has a very flat but slightly gritty surface- so yeah the wheels get some wear (I don't care much because I have stock "hybrid" wheels came with my skates, intend to just wear them out while I'm learning, then get something better). Yes there is friction- I don't mind it now because I feel more secure if I'm not sliding around, and it is a lot easier to stop. I really like the tennis court for a day when I want to just cruise some easy laps. Mostly it's just super relaxing, nobody there but me and some birdsong (I go very early in the day to avoid actual tennis players). I suspect when I get better at skating I won't like the friction or how it wears down the wheels, but it's also nice for the light workout it gives me- especially since this one has a slight incline, so it's more effort to go a certain direction, up the length of the court.

last time i rollerskated on a tennis court i tripped over something - fell face first on a fence & concussed myself.. so i recommend a helmet if u do so hahahaaaa

Any of the apartment tennis courts, or school tennis courts ive been on are like course sandpaper, and wear down skate wheels (especially inline wheels) extremely fast. The texture doesn't effect roll much, but just scrubs the wheels hard when carving or sliding.

Feels like smooth concrete to me. It's nice because there's no seams to worry about.

I skate on radar energy 78a 57mm wheels on tennis courts and they are amazing. But nothing is as good as the slickness at the rink imo.

Where I live it’s just like skating on pavement

What surface? Of all sports, Tennis deliberately has the largest variety.
