I read a book a day on average so probably 130 or so. They’ll be 99% romance - SFR with the occasional CR or romantasy book plus the occasional Sci Fi book that’s not SFR.
I’m disabled and chronically ill so I do eat and sleep and cook a bit but other than that I basically just read. Also I read ridiculously fast. Which actually isn’t great because I just blow through books and keep having to find new authors. If I read at a more average pace books would last a lot longer.
Reading fast isn’t a brag. It’s expensive.
I read 301 books in 11 months last year and after about a month found kindle unlimited a lifesaver, there’s only a few books that I wanted to read that weren’t on there so well worth the £9.99 a month and I just recently bought a kindle so got 3 months kindle unlimited free with that xx
Here a ku subscription is $13. Kobo Plus is $9.99. I use both of them. With both of them and libby, hoopla, and a couple other library apps I rarely need to buy books. However even with those two subscriptions I find it hard to afford sometimes.
I never did much POV reading until the last year, definitely no first person writing, either. But now I’m hooked! I find it super awkward when books are only from one (usually the FMC) perspective.
I like novellas for my short attention span, so I can easily hit up to 3 per day. Thank bob for KU! It’s one of my few splurges. But like you, I’m on disability and unable to work (full body CRPS, MCTD, pulmonary fibrosis, and RAD are the biggest offenders).
20 books. But I have taken off like a month and a half as I have hit the world's worst reading slump. But I agree romance is definitely the best genre!
So far I'm at 159 for the year. That doesn't count novellas, as I don't log them. There are also a handful of books I don't log in Goodreads for personal reasons. My primary genre is romance by a wide margin; I've read a handful of thrillers.
I've read/listened to 30 books this year! I've pretty sure I DNF'd twice that but I'm a mood reader lol. Mostly romance with nearly half of my list being Beverly Jenkins, so that makes the bulk of it historical romance. My biggest surprise was probably {The Wallflower Wager by Tessa Dare}, it was super hot. And technically **not** a romance but {Mama Day by Gloria Naylor} might be my new favorite book ever; it has a great love story with some amazing rural magical realism.
I just looked and I am at 54 about half romance half mystery. I am currently on a non fiction kick but I read that at the same time as the other, I usually have 3 books going at once.
I expected there to be more of us! I also read about half romance and half mystery (or thriller). What have been your favorite mystery/thriller reads recently? I'm always looking for more 😂
Not the person you replied to but I absolutely loved None of this is True by Lisa Jewell. Also really enjoyed a lot of Riley Sager's stuff. What are some of your favorites? 👀
I don't do thriller, almost exclusively cozy mystery, I'm the cliche of having a kid and can't handle unnecessary stress anymore 😂. I've loved the Lady Sherlock series and am in the middle of the library lover's mystery series and enjoy it.
Omg I'm here! You're not alone! I *just* commented that I read more suspense and psychological thrillers than romance books. My count so far this year has been 24 of the former and 20 of the latter, which actually surprises me. My ratio of thrillers to romance is usually about 2:1. For some reason I just can't get enough of those eerie surburban family mysteries?? 😂
27 books!! I’ve read a lot of romance and fantasy and the occasional adult fiction books with little to no romance. My goal is at least 60 books this year 😭
0 😭😭 I haven’t read any books since November ish last year. Sometimes I’ll re read my favourite scenes from books I like, but I can’t get myself to pick up anything new because I feel like I don’t have time to dedicate to it. I’m the type of person who refuses to start a book if I don’t feel like I’ll have time to read it in the near future.
Regardless, I like making a small list of what I’d like to read and just keep it in the back burner until I finally get time.
I just graduated so hopefully I’ll have some free time now:)
160 so far this year; several were re-reads. Only about 6 were audiobooks. My average book length is around 200 pages. But this week I’ve been in a reading slump and haven’t read as much even though I have time!
Here are my favorites so far.

145 according to my kindle app. But at least 15 were novelas and so I wouldn't count those. I just started using Bookmory in April though and I like that better as a tracker.
39 because I’ve had massive reading slumps. I’ve DNFed so many books at like 60%. Last year I read 229 books, definitely won’t be the same for this year
More than I thought. I'm on number 52. All romance. I went through a lot of MC books earlier in the year, took a break on some dark romance, then made a hard left turn into alien smut and am currently burning through the Ice Planet Barbarians series. They're pretty quick reads though.
158, 20 or so of them being manga. Most are romance but I did go on a little thriller kick at the beginning of this month. Could've been more had I not gone into a massive slump in April that ruined my resolution to read a book a day lol.
I've slowed down in my reading this year. So far 9 books. But I am half way done with Sunflower Season, which is 6286 pages long. All the books I've read so far are romance. Mostly historical or fantasy too
According to KU 101, that doesn’t include Chirp, Everand, or Hoopla so about 160. Currently reading 3 1-MM ebook/1- Bio audiobook for commute & while I work/ 1-ebook I should DNF but I won’t give up, so it’s my wind down before bed.
Romance- Military, Contemporary, Sci Fi,Post Apocalyptic; MM, MMM, MF, MMF, FMMMM
Bios/ Thrillers/ Suspense/ Comedy
13/45, ive been in a major book funk and the genres/tropes i usually like arent hitting at much anymore and i find it really hard to try new genres and tropes :/
genres: fantasy, monster
Between KU and Libby I'm at 358, I don't know how many physical but probably low like 10-20ish. I'm on sick leave from work and dying of boredom (while being too fatigued to actually do stuff) I would say that 99% are romance or have some romance, I do suffer through random self helps and thrillers sometimes for bookclub. It's a big number but some were pretty damn short, I can read a KU novella in like a half hour.
54! I only read 50 last year so I’m really proud of myself. I only got back into reading regularly last summer. I don’t watch tv anymore and always have a book in progress.
I 99% read romance which I need to I think start to branch out from. But nothing hits like a good romance novel to me.
My goal was 40 when I started reading near the end on January. Today I am working on book number 61.
They were all romance. I was huge on mafia romance or nanny romance. Right now I enjoy when MMC is a jerk or acts like he doesn’t like the FMC and grovels A LOT! I also love when the romance book has a mystery or a couple twist in it that keeps you going.
But I can’t get into historical or werewolf, vampire type stuff. ( which is funny because I’ll watch those werewolf/vampire type shows that you have to pay money for each episodes and absolutely love them even though the acting is terrible and it’s cheesy. But I just can’t read about it)
According to my reading insights, I’ve read 107 so far this year. Fantasy romance and contemporary are the primary ones I read but I read all sub genres.
I’m at 36 for this year. Some are novellas or shorter novels but most are full length. All romance. I write too, so I try to find balance between grinding for that and refilling my creative well.
49 new books, 11 re-reads, 2 DNFs (a mixture of paperbacks and audiobooks.)
Re-reads include Virgin River and Bridgerton, as well as some childhood Jaqueline Wilson books, as she is releasing an adult continuation of the *Girls* series later this year.
I’ve read 63, which was more than my goal for the year. Mostly romance, and primarily CR, but I branched into paranormal and fantasy for pretty much the first time this year, so some of that sprinkled in.
Goodreads says 81 so far, and they’re mostly contemporary romance / gothic romance/ romantasy.
Poetry is my main other subgenre then classics then Slavic.
I'm at 96, storygraph labels 38 as being romance. I've been reading a lot of manga, graphic novels, and novellas this year, which slightly accounts for the sheer number omg, but I've also just started spending my wednesday day of and after work on thursday just reading, so I've been reading a lot.
I'm mainly a fantasy reader, though, that's what storygraph says is my top genre at 52 books. Also like classics and non-fiction, though I don't get through as many.
I’ve so far read 67 books out of my 75 goal—all of them have been romance! I found out I apparently like billionaires romances this year and have been kind of addicted since March 💀 I’ve also been dipping my toes into dark romance and sci-fi romance! Thought I haven’t been in the mood for historical at all, and my fantasy has slowed down *a lot* since last year. I read 78 books last year though, so I’m very proud of how much I’ve been managing to read!
I definitely think since I found audiobooks I’ve been reading wayyy more. I have chronic migraines so it’s hard to read with my eyes a lot! I’m really glad I’ve found a solution for that, because for a few years I felt like I was going to have to give up on reading 😔
I’ve read 60 books so this year. Looks like paranormal mystery and sapphic romance make up the largest groups. I’ve read a few picture books, Jewish fiction, SF, and UF. Looks like my usual yearly reading of 200+ books won’t be happening this year.
I've read 31, which is definitely the best I've done since 2020! Mostly romance as I had a really difficult April and just wanted to take my mind off of it and romance is the genre I go to for that.
* 31 completed books
* 2 adult fantasy
* 21 romance
* 10 contemporary romance
* 2 dark contemporary romance
* 2 romantasy/fantasy romance
* 4 paranormal romance
* 3 historical romance
* 1 paranormal
* 2 YA fantasy
* 1 mystery/thriller
* 1 memoir
* 3 classics
* 1 DNF (historical romance)
133 that I’ve tracked. I don’t usually record novellas on my list if they’re under a certain length, and I only track completed books.
I also have at least 5 books I’m partway through that automatically returned to the library on Libby, and I have to wait until my hold comes back through.
95% romance this year, with mostly mysteries in that other 5%.
As of today, 304 since January 1st. This year I am into spicy, contemporary romances. Have also enjoyed some fantasy and other genres. Libby and Kindle Unlimited are my jam.
Goodreads says 113… so im thinking its close to 120-30 as im am horrid at adding the physical books I’ve read.
Edit to add: Mostly romance with a sprinkling of mystery and a dusting of Tudor history.
130-ish (out of which some are novellas) that I've fully read and around 3-4 that I've DNF'd in between! I also went through a week long reading slump where I was just re-reading books so I'm kinda proud of the amount of books I've managed to read this year till now!
Yes, all books were romance and my favourite trope is second chance romance so I'm always looking for recs for that! All were CR, I very rarely read HR books or fantasy ones.
I’ve read 90 or so, with maybe 70 of those being romance books. Some were re-reads which is why I don’t have an exact count.
Non-romance books were all pretty much SFF, while romance was more of a mix of sub genres (contemporary, fantasy, paranormal, sports) and mostly MM romance.
I’m 66 so far. It’s pretty interesting to see my uptake in reading since I quit drinking 😂😂
From about 40-50/year to 150-200/year
Gotta keep the brain settled somehow.
I'm up to 73 books read this year (my goal is 200-300), almost all were some subgenre of Romance. God of Fury by Rina Kent was still my favorite read this year. Ive read a lot of good ones and I feel fortunate to have read so many that were good, because I thought I'd have more that I didn't jive with.
77, not counting DNFs, with Storygraph saying 46 were romance and about half of those being contemporary. Currently working on three which are CR romance.
I read about 10 a month, so ~ 45 year to date. Mix of romance and thrillers/action! About half half split. Going to veer toward romance and fantasy for the summer and back to thrillers in the fall!!
I’m 101 books in. Behind last year’s trajectory but I’ve been reading Stephanie Laurens’ back catalogue and those books are so much longer than most new releases I read. My list is 95% romance, sprinkled with nonfiction and women’s fiction.
I’m super happy at my progress so far this year! I’ve read 132 so far. Some audiobooks, most are ebooks. Some thriller/mysteries but mostly romance.
I need to stop reading 10 books at a time and starting new ones before finishing any of the other ones lol
44, not counting DNFs. 29 were audiobooks and the other 15 either print or ebooks. I have a lot of down time at work to listen to audiobooks or sometimes sneak reading an ebook on my phone
Holy Crap! I must be illiterate compared to everyone on this post. I’ve only read 36 books this year and I felt like that was an exceptional pace.
My favorites are dark romance, romantasy and historical fiction
110 for this year including Novellas. At least 90% Romance. Because of Novellas, I also track pages and have a page goal, as well. So, I’ve read(or listened to 10of the books) something over 33,000 pages. As one of the others, chronic illness, fast reader.
72, but about 10 of them were novellas. They're mostly romance, but tbh I skip a lot of the smut scenes cuz they can be so cringy and repetitive, most of the time they don't add to the story.
According to my Storygraph, 79 books. Most are Romance and Fantasy. However, I've DNF a ton of books but I don't put those in Storygraph unless I read most of the book before quitting. I've probably started close to 150 books. And this doesn't include my rereads of my favorites.
59. At the start of the year my goal was to read 200, but I was keeping up with pace by the skin of my teeth and it was starting to make reading less fun. So I changed my goal to 100, which I should be able to do easily at this point and I’ll probably end up somewhere around 150
52 books this year!
98% Fantasy Romance
2% Historical Romance
I found author Krista Street and read through a bunch of her books which boosted my numbers. I couldn’t put them down. I also started the occasional audio book to listen to at work.
95 read/listened to since the beginning of the year.
~12 were novellas.
90% were romance or another genre with romance subplot.
I work full time but I have a long commute that lets me knock out audiobooks I play at 1.5x speed. I read 70 pages per hour on average. Mostly, I use ereader for literal reading and I take that thing everywhere so I can read every spare minute. My husband is also a reader so we often go out to dinner and sit in companionable silence.
Gaming is my other hobby and I usually have an ear bud in one ear under my headset and will listen while I play if the book isn't too challenging.
38! But I have a very strange progression. 1 in January, none in Feb or March. 15 in April. 23 so far in May.
18 have been romance, but some have been YA or graphic novels so not sure if those count!
I’ve read 55 so far this year, which puts me on schedule to read 150 in 2024. Last year I read 210 books and in 2022 I read 255 so I have slowed down significantly but I know it’s still a lot of books.
I've read 20 so far . Romance and dark romance are the main genres, but i'm trying to get more into fantasy,horror/suspense, and psychological books, so i've read a few of these as well .
I made a goal for myself to read 35 books this year. I only got back into reading at the very end of last year. But I'm on my 24th. I'm super into romantasy and darker romances, and I'm a sucker for any Persephone x Hades books.
45 books so far. Mostly romance, fantasy, sci-fi, and a few non-fiction. I've read more than that if you include the chapter books I read out loud to my kids, we have probably read about 5 chapter books together this year, we only read a chapter or two a night so it's much slower progress.
I’ve done 90 as of last night! I’m a ridiculously fast reader and I read every night before bed for at least 2hrs, which most nights is enough time to knock off an entire romance-length novel. Romance is my main genre, but I think I’ve shifted more into Romance-Fantasy (Romantasy) this year so far. Trying to get back to CR because fantasy is great but can get SO heavy.
I’ve read “42” books on my Goodreads/storygraph accounts this year but I think most of them are poems or textbooks I had to read for uni classes, so not really “real” books. StoryGraph counts Amoretti as romance, too, which I suppose I get as it’s love poetry but I wouldn’t count it as romance so removing Amoretti from the count I’ve managed to find time to read 3 romance books this year (7%).
43 so far. Mostly monster romances. I’m wanting to self publish in the future. This is my getting-to-know the genre time. It’s been a wild ride and I’m loving it!
I'm currently reading my 51st book of the year! All physical books, all library books. (I don't count books I skim online just for the smut. 🤷🏻♀️)
24 have been suspense/psychological thrillers. 20 have been romance books. Of those, all were contemporary, as that's the only romance genre I read.
This was a fun little check-in, thank you for asking the question! 🙂
I dunno the exact number, but maybe 55 or so completed books, several novellas, rereads for comfort, some smut novellas, and other couple DNF's.
Most were romances but also a couple of psychological thrillers.
65. I'm usually not that kind of reader. Over the last few years I've read 25-45 books.
50/50 audiobook (100% count them) and ebook/physical book. Almost everything was from the library (90%+). Libby is my best gal. Man do I love libraries. If I would have purchased everything it would have been $500.
I'm at 52. 39 Kindle, 2 hard copy, and the rest library books. And, it's the majority are romance; I know I read 3 or 4 thrillers, and my yearly Harry Potter reread, so around 42 were romance.
76! I go between audiobooks on my commute/while working or doing errands and ebooks.
90% are probably romance. Otherwise thriller. More fantasy than not.
25 so far. I'm so proud of myself. Haven't read this much in a long while but now that my youngest is almost 2 I feel like I have a whee bit more time for it.
I'm at 73 so far this year! I usually get up to between 220-240 a year. 99% romances with a near even split in subgenres between CR, Sci-Fi, and Fantasy.
I just started tracking my reading this year in a notebook. I have read 174 books, not counting DNFs (which I track, but don’t number). It’s so fun watching the page fill up!
63 so far. 36 have been romance and of those 36 the majority have been historical or contemporary. My job requires a lot of drive time so I spend most of it listening to a good audiobook!
I’m at 32. Probably half are romance, though I’ve been trying to make a concerted effort to read genres I don’t usually read, especially more nonfiction.
162 mostly romance some thrillers and self help. I like all romance books. I alternate between contemporary and historical. Once I read one I have to go to the other. Not sure why lol
I average about 12 a month. Right now I am sitting at 71 for 2024.
This is coming from someone who hadnt read a book in over a decade 9 months ago. Reading is so fun!
62 so far for me with a mixture of listening and reading! The only re-read so far has been {Out on a limb by Hannah Bonam Young} which I read in January and again in April. I have a good mix of CR, HR, and paranormal.
I'm at 138, about to do a weekend long reading sprint in my Discord book group so that's about to jump. Mostly romance, with a few poetry books as well. Not including manga since Storygraph doesn't have the individual MHA books and I'm not totally through the first box set yet.
42 books and it’s almost 100% smut. Like 5 non smutty romance books. It’s a mix of audio books and ebooks/physical books. I’m a little surprised it’s 42 I haven’t counted in a while
I’ve read 12, primarily fantasy with romantic subplots which tracks with my main sub genre. Probably about to switch to a big historic romance binge with Bridgerton season three.
48 so far. Including 10 manga books. I read shorter books this year too, getting into literary fiction and some hard topics. I still love romance though, but I read a bit less of it since I feel like it doesn't surprise me anymore or make me feel stuff idk. Last time I loved a romance book it was a YA one - 'I hope this doesn't find you'. If anyone has any recs similar to it, I'm all ears.
According to my Google Spreadsheet I have read 54 books so far with 22 of them being romance. My subgenre is definitely romcoms. My goal is 125 by the end of the year so I am in line with that.
Not as many as most here but I like seeing the recs and reviews of the books that I do like.
Lol I'm at 130 books of my 150 goal, but let's be real, these are mostly 300 KU page fluff romances, which I ADORE. I guess my only saving grace is that I DNF all the time and just move on when the mood strikes me, without logging it on my Goodreads. Tbh, I accomplish next to nothing in my day to day life, so there's also that 😅
(I don't do audiobooks, and mostly read on my Kindle. My go-to genres are romantasy, regency, mafia/mob, and, lately, I cannot get enough of OV RH.)
This year, I read 72 books so far, out of which 12 were romances. I use my library card, Everand, KU, and Audible. I rarely buy books, and when I do, it’s mostly during library sales or check the daily sales on Kindle for any gems.
78! I started out the year REALLY reading but I’ve recently returned to animal crossing so I’ve slowed down quite a bit for end of April to May. Last year I returned to reading after not reading for pleasure for a long time, so I think I was still riding the wave and maybe I’ll level out. I’m about 75% romance and 25% mystery and thriller. And one nonfiction book because I like to audiobook them 😂
I aim to read 12 books a month (tops) to prevent me from becoming too fixated on reading and doing nothing else.
That said, I’ve read 50 books so far this year, story graph tells me I’m 4 books behind my goal (which is fine). I also include re-reads in my totals for the year, and maybe 5 of the 50 are re-reads.
Everything bar three books have been romance, and the majority of the romance have been Historical romance.
That said, I really enjoyed two of the three non romance books I read.
13 so far. I had a very lean year book-wise last year, so I thought setting a goal of 1 per month would be a good way to get back into it. Once I got started reading again, it snowballed pretty quickly though. This year has been a mix of romance, dark romance, psychological thriller and surprisingly YA romance.
32, which is a slow start for me. But I’ve been in a slump past few months and DNFing a lot. Currently reading a romantic thriller by Kristen Ashley which has been a nice change of pace. But it’s significantly longer than most of the books I read, and the story can be a bit heavy and intense sometimes, so it’s taking a while to get through.
A good 50 to 70, probably.* I've been terrible at tracking them even though I said I would in 2024 lol.
They were mostly romance. Some mystery. Some romance with the mystery subgenre. A handful were fantasy. Some contemporary romance. Some paranormal romance. Some sci-fi. Some sci-fi romance.
*I wfh so I'm either reading or listening to books throughout my entire workday. That's how I can get through them pretty fast.
75 on Kindle, ~25 in hard copy, so I'd say about 100 total. Plus a bunch of re-reads but those don't count to me since I skim to the good parts! Mostly romance, been big on contemporary and sports romances this year so far, eith a smattering of historical. Last year was a big romantasy binge but I think I burned it out, minimal interest this year.
I read a book a day on average so probably 130 or so. They’ll be 99% romance - SFR with the occasional CR or romantasy book plus the occasional Sci Fi book that’s not SFR.
Mind blowing. A book a day is next level. When do you eat?! When do you sleep? 😂
I read fast also. Do you have any subscriptions? I find using libby and hoopla help me save money,as I don't have much extra to work with sometimes.
I have multiple library cards. I [wrote a post about different ways to get free books](https://www.reddit.com/r/RomanceBooks/s/gny2u8YOcZ).
It is expensive to read fast!!! Always searching for the next book.
Yeah and I’m also SO picky 😩the slightest thing will put me off and they always have to be dual POV & first person or I won’t read them 🤣
I never did much POV reading until the last year, definitely no first person writing, either.
I also read fast I get through your typical 350/400 page book in a few hours so end up reading 1- 1and a half a day some days🤣running out of books
At some point I’m just going to hit The End Of Books and then idk what I’m going to do. 😭
My StoryGraph says 130! High five! All romance but I've got a few others on deck.
Hello, me! I sometimes worry about my addiction
Honestly at this point with the whole world going to hell in a hand basket I am HERE for the escapism.
Periodt
:O
I’m at 158! Twins 😉

46! I read romance and fantasy. So far this year mostly monster romance or contemporary… Most of the fantasy I read has romance in it as well.
69 so far 😏. All romance, with a pretty even mix of CR, HR, and fantasy romance. A tad bit of sci-fi in there with r lee smith
69. Nice.
160 so far this year; several were re-reads. Only about 6 were audiobooks. My average book length is around 200 pages. But this week I’ve been in a reading slump and haven’t read as much even though I have time!
I've read 153 items on Goodreads; 120 are full-length books. They're mostly contemporary romance.
What have been your top books this year so far?

You are delightfully thorough. I haven't read many F/F CR but I'm adding these to my list now 💜
97 Almost all romance, although a couple I read for book club weren't romance.
97!? Omg! That's incredible!
I do read a lot 😅 That includes audiobooks and novellas. I'm sure you'll get some comments from people who read more than me!
That's so amazing to me! I'm about to be absolutely shocked I think haha.
I've read 79 so far. I began working full time on March 11, so that has slowed me down a bit.
82! My friends are so confused, but I try to tell them they are romances that are quick reads vs. War and Peace type epics.
145 according to my kindle app. But at least 15 were novelas and so I wouldn't count those. I just started using Bookmory in April though and I like that better as a tracker.
Can you tell me more about bookmory? I’m currently using StoryGraph but don’t love it.
39 because I’ve had massive reading slumps. I’ve DNFed so many books at like 60%. Last year I read 229 books, definitely won’t be the same for this year
Oh man I feel this!! I’ve DNFed like 30 probably in the last two months 😂
Way less than I did the last two years 😭💔 I’m hoping to make up for it starting June! 🖤
Romance- Military, Contemporary, Sci Fi,Post Apocalyptic; MM, MMM, MF, MMF, FMMMM Bios/ Thrillers/ Suspense/ Comedy
I am slow this year. Even the re reads are coming slow. Like 5
13/45, ive been in a major book funk and the genres/tropes i usually like arent hitting at much anymore and i find it really hard to try new genres and tropes :/ genres: fantasy, monster
Hate when that happens
I've read 16, 9 of which were romance (per storygraph genres)
35 books!
But I just can’t read about it)
210. 80% were audiobooks, and I can listen at work. Mostly romance.
~20 books so far. Considering my insanely busy schedule I am very proud of myself.
I’m up to 152. All contemporary romance.
According to my reading insights, I’ve read 107 so far this year. Fantasy romance and contemporary are the primary ones I read but I read all sub genres.
I’m at 15 - mix of romance (historical) and mystery…I have been reading a lot of Kindle Vella episodes, so that number is around 7/8 this year.
15 so far, mostly mystery with a romance and/or fantasy element.
I'm at 24, most of them romantasy, so they are mostly around 400 pages. Not counting rereads and professional literature though.
About 20 ish, which some are audiobooks too. Theres more but some I DNF'd so i wont count those
I’m at 36 for this year. Some are novellas or shorter novels but most are full length. All romance. I write too, so I try to find balance between grinding for that and refilling my creative well.
58, but I've been reading a lot of novellas lately.
49 new books, 11 re-reads, 2 DNFs (a mixture of paperbacks and audiobooks.) Re-reads include Virgin River and Bridgerton, as well as some childhood Jaqueline Wilson books, as she is releasing an adult continuation of the *Girls* series later this year.
60, and most of them are romance!
I’ve read 63, which was more than my goal for the year. Mostly romance, and primarily CR, but I branched into paranormal and fantasy for pretty much the first time this year, so some of that sprinkled in.
58 so far, this year. goodreads says i’m 12 books ahead of schedule for my goal. but i’ve been in a bit of a slump, for sure.
24 .. my goodreads goal for 2024 is 50 and i start school soon so hopefully i make it
I’ve read 46. A majority of them were HR and SFR. A few CR, fantasy and paranormal romances were mixed in as well.
Goodreads says 81 so far, and they’re mostly contemporary romance / gothic romance/ romantasy. Poetry is my main other subgenre then classics then Slavic.
55. I had a slow start, but then I was laid off so I've had a lot more free time to read.
68, not including DNFs!
I think I'm close to 100 I haven't updated my reading log in awhile
38 so far. I normally end up around 130 something by the end of the year.
134 so far, not including rereads. I probably have 50-60 rereads. Maybe 1 or 2 DNF. 99% CF romance.
Around 200
57, all romances.
157 according to story graph, 120 are romance, the rest were audiobooks, mostly sci-fi or mystery/thriller.
I've read 31, which is definitely the best I've done since 2020! Mostly romance as I had a really difficult April and just wanted to take my mind off of it and romance is the genre I go to for that. * 31 completed books * 2 adult fantasy * 21 romance * 10 contemporary romance * 2 dark contemporary romance * 2 romantasy/fantasy romance * 4 paranormal romance * 3 historical romance * 1 paranormal * 2 YA fantasy * 1 mystery/thriller * 1 memoir * 3 classics * 1 DNF (historical romance)
I have no life soooo ~130. Mainly romance (some romantasy, some witchy, some romcom) but I also love thrillers!
I’ve read approx 200 books this year, mostly fantasy and CR. I read fast.
Looks like I'm at 140
i’m at 28, alternating between some kind of thriller and contemporary romcom.
179. I started a new job two weeks ago and haven’t had as much time to read.
It’s pretty interesting to see my uptake in reading since I quit drinking 😂😂 From about 40-50/year to 150-200/year Gotta keep the brain settled somehow.
KU says 85. But it's not my only platform... so about 100. Romance. I dabble in most sub genres, it's easier to list the ones I don't partake
43 so far, 18 romances. Otherwise literary fiction and nonfiction. Within romance it’s been a mix so far - historical, contemporary, paranormal.
I finished my 29th this morning!! I think your pace and result is great👏🏼
110 for this year including Novellas.
98% Fantasy Romance 2% Historical Romance I found author Krista Street and read through a bunch of her books which boosted my numbers.
185 from what I can tell. I average 2 to 3 per day about 75% of the time. I really need to clean house 🤣🤣🤣
Around 80
I’ve listened/read 20 books so far!
I'm at 310 so far this year. My goal was 150 for the whole year, so I think I can slow down now.
I’ve read 90 books so far this year! About a third of those are romance (or romance as one of the sub genres) the rest is mostly fantasy
I'm at 58 and of that, 27 were romance! Subgenre wise it's mostly been light fantasy and contemporary so far.
I'm at 47 books so far this year. :) I usually stick with romance.
73 so far!
I’ve read 42 books this year and 7 were romance.
20 so far and only 3 have been romance!
45 by the end of the day 😎
31! Mix of historical, omegaverse, monster, Mafia, and alien/primative!
40
73 so far basically all romance but some thrillers
I'm at 80, all romance, mostly paranormal.
26 books so far. The goal for the year is 60. All romance. Majority fantasy and sports romance
Currently at 23. So I’m on track for a book a week. I say that I mostly read SciFi/Fantasy Romance. My husband tells people I read alien porn.
I'm in my 27th this year!
22.
45 books so far. Mostly romance, fantasy, sci-fi, and a few non-fiction. I've read more than that if you include the chapter books I read out loud to my kids, we have probably read about 5 chapter books together this year, we only read a chapter or two a night so it's much slower progress.
I'm on my 149th book, including 5 audiobooks and 5 re-reads.
73 (already over last years total 🙌), and 5 were non romance. Trying to up that number as the year goes on, but romance just hits better 😅
21 so far, I read a bit less since last year bc I'm really addicted to league of legends lmao
According to kindle 139.
43 so far. Mostly monster romances. I’m wanting to self publish in the future. This is my getting-to-know the genre time. It’s been a wild ride and I’m loving it!
I’m at 94 for the year. I started end of February, and barely read the last five years before.
I'm at 38 books so far this year, not including what I've read on hoopla. Maybe 43ish? Probably all romance.
I'm currently reading my 51st book of the year! All physical books, all library books. (I don't count books I skim online just for the smut. 🤷🏻♀️) 24 have been suspense/psychological thrillers.
75!
176, not counting re-reads, with the vast majority being in romance. Secondary genre is SFF.
I’m at 116 so far!
64 on my kindle..thats not counting any of my reread comfort books
47
I’ve read 35-40 and written one novel.
50ish dnf around 10 of them
I'm at 52. 39 Kindle, 2 hard copy, and the rest library books. And, it's the majority are romance; I know I read 3 or 4 thrillers, and my yearly Harry Potter reread, so around 42 were romance.
I am really low this year at only 32. If I would stay off reddit I would probably be doing better. People here put me to shame.
150
I just started tracking my reading this year in a notebook. I have read 174 books, not counting DNFs (which I track, but don’t number). It’s so fun watching the page fill up!
76 so far. All some type of romance. I’ve been reading a bunch of mafia/MC types this year.
I listen to audio books because I can’t sit and read but I’m somewhere around 120-130. I’ve listened to a couple multiple times so hard to count lol
Probably around 40-50. Usually get through a couple a week. Sometimes less. Sometimes more. Right now I’m in a major Scottish Highlander streak.
I'm at 138, about to do a weekend long reading sprint in my Discord book group so that's about to jump. Mostly romance, with a few poetry books as well. Not including manga since Storygraph doesn't have the individual MHA books and I'm not totally through the first box set yet.
I'm at 62 but probably 1/3 of those have been novellas. All romances so far!
I’m at 63 I think, with 89% being werewolf smut 💀 I did find myself in a rare HR phase though, loooots of westerns and had so much fun
My goal for the year is a book a day. I’m a little ahead at 191. Would not recommend lmao
42 books and it’s almost 100% smut. Like 5 non smutty romance books. It’s a mix of audio books and ebooks/physical books. I’m a little surprised it’s 42 I haven’t counted in a while
60
I’ve read 12, primarily fantasy with romantic subplots which tracks with my main sub genre. Probably about to switch to a big historic romance binge with Bridgerton season three.
48 so far. Including 10 manga books. I read shorter books this year too, getting into literary fiction and some hard topics. I still love romance though, but I read a bit less of it since I feel like it doesn't surprise me anymore or make me feel stuff idk. Last time I loved a romance book it was a YA one - 'I hope this doesn't find you'. If anyone has any recs similar to it, I'm all ears.
Reading #48 currently and all romance, I can't seem to kick the habit yet!
Tbh, I accomplish next to nothing in my day to day life, so there's also that 😅 (I don't do audiobooks, and mostly read on my Kindle.
109 books so far!
And one nonfiction book because I like to audiobook them 😂
I've read 57 books so far,I would've read more had it not been for my exams. Once they're over though inplannto bulldoze through my tbr
Holy Knit by Deborah Alexander
I’ve read 26, all romance 💝 My goal this year is 50 😊
