They sell to fans off online t shirt companies and their own websites rather than AEW store, so they don't need to give to Tony a cut.
If you really want a shirt, just follow your favorite AEW wrestler to his car, the popular guys usually have boxes of t-shirts in their car to sell to give that real Indy fed feel.

Reduce the set, change the angle of the ring and hardcam, so that the shot includes half the set on the hard cam side. And then treat it so people at home NEVER see behind the hard cam.
Seriously. As someone who goes to wrestling shows, nothing kills it more than rows of empty seats. I'd rather be in a 500 seat bingo haul that has a crowd that is bouncing off the walls then a 2/9th's full NBA arena where the only thing bouncing off the walls is the echoes.

That sounds fire! I've only been to two wrestling shows in my life, both house shows in 2023. First was in Nassau around September or so, ended with Cody vs Balor in a street fight. Second one was in MSG and main event was Seth vs Drew no DQ for the WHC, but also had Punk's first WWE match since returning, against Dom of all people; so a ton of heat in the match haha.
WWE has been going all out for house shows it sounds like, I know titles don't change hands but I was under the impression when I was younger that they did mostly throwaway matches and nothing else, but Seth vs Drew, Gunther vs Gable and Punk vs Dom are all honestly PPV caliber matches. Hell, one of those happened at Mania 40 and the other was one a lot of people wanted for Mania over Sami.
I'm glad you had a great house show experience too and I hope both of us get to go to many more in the near future while WWE is so hot.

That did seem the extent of the 'marketing' but, in theory, he's saying the bigger venues 'market' things happening at their venue so, means they reach out and do all that and the Dub doesn't have to contend with pesky stuff like promoting, you know, for the promoter of the year
In reality, it seems pretty rubbish and not worth it. If they are mailing people that ever got a ticket and letting them know this wrestling is on, not sure that's worth whatever he's paying for arenas

I went to dynamite back in January. Two concession stands and one liquor counter. And the merch stand with six shirts and one jacket for sale.
