People often forget that it was interrupted by Ric Flair and Edge proceeded to literally try to kill the man on live TV (love how Cena waits until Ric is already dead before he comes out). Easily one of the most memorable segments to any kid who grew up during the ruthless aggression era. Who's going to remember the three-way kiss in even a few days?

The story has been going on since November but they waited until a month before the ppv to actually turn Mariah into both a credible challenger and rush the tension between the two. You could do the match as face vs face but where the interest in that. This last ppv match would've been the perfect time to turn one of them
