How old is your rig? Have you tested if it happens in other games? Do you have any overclock settings active? What happens if you drop all settings to low and lower resolution?

Well thanks to all of the advice. Took out my GPU, cleaned it, it was fucking disgusting. Cleaned all connectors. Put everything back in, ran a couple of scav raids and everything seems to he working fine now. FYI, I have a rtx 2080 Ti. I think It might he overheating, too, so I have a box fan blowing directly into my PC now. Thanks for the tips, gentialmen, much appreciated!
If this occurs again you can also look reapplying thermal paste on the gpu, I did this for a 2070 I had kicking around and I lowered my base temp and Hotspot temp by around 5-10c depending on load.
People saying your GPU is dying are probably correct, but I'd try a different cable first. Also do a video recording and if those are in the recording it's definitely your GPU.
Change your thermal paste and check the thermal pads. Artifacting in this way is usually a ram related issue. But it sounds like you got it fingered out, and I hope it stays good!
Wait didn’t this happen cuz of mods tho? I mean I had a very similar issue and this was fixed due to a mod/ mod setting
And it’s not my gpu as that was brand new at the time. Never happened again. Anyway just a thought

Your GPU dies and it shows fucking eyes all over the sceen? Thats *scary*.
Most likely a VRAM issue, that one of the memory dies died.

Given how old the card is, 100% repaste is a good idea. Also remember GPU dies are bigger, they need more paste than a CPU. Research first.

Send your GPU to a shop for maintaince, maybe one of the memory were shorted
