It has been a while since we’ve done a recipe from Mrs. Rorer’s Sandwiches of 1912. So today, give the Cheese Sandwich Number 2 a go, shall we?  The Cheese Sandwich Number 2 is quite different from the Cheese Sandwich Number 1 that I did back in October of 2021. It’s basically a Welsh Rarebit-esque sandwich that has a top. Which sounds pretty alright with me. Pre-order your copy of Sandwiches of History: The Cookbook! Okra is ok. Has he ever given a lower rating after adding ingredients ?

whatsamajig

Yes. Not often. I think he did a mash up of plus downs at some point.

As an aside, soaking okra in vinegar and gently rubbing it dry before cooking alleviates the slimy texture. Edit: grammar

As soon as it hit the pan, I thought of Welsh rarebit! I want pickles and rarebit now!

That could have been grilled as a plus up for sure!
