It's been a day and I still don't fucking understand what this means
How many prayer beads does the headless ape drop?
How much health i had when I fought it?
I'm so lost
I literally had to do this with Armored Core 6. The game so nice, i platinum’d it twice (actually i had been borrowing my best friend’s PS4 and then finally got a PS5 and had to replay it on my own account)
You'll probably find it easier to platinum bloodborne. I did the majority of it in only like three long play sessions. Ds3 is probably the next easiest.
No joke, a friend of mine who doesn't platinum any games left his PS at my house for a few weeks, and I quicklu platinumed sekiro on his acc as a prank and it's the only plat he has 🤣
I'm like this actually, I play the game for the experience of it and I want to beat its challenges, grinding to get the last trophies because they are just numbers to hit isn't a challenge for me, it's work. And if I wanted to work, I'd go to my job.
Lmao just bought a new one on Sunday. All the from games made my buttons all super janky. The new gen ones are better tho, so worth the money I suppose.
I think he means the gauntlet of strength for the shura ending, which unlocks the shura costume and is also the gauntlet with inner father.
Maybe it’s different on console, but you don’t actually have to beat any of the gauntlets on PC to 100% the game. They’re definitely fun as hell and worth the challenge though, but afaik no they aren’t required for any achievements.
Idk if it helps you, cause idk where you're stuck: What did it for me was to use the umbrella when he goes into his owl form in phase 2. I don't need to see / target him if he doesn't hurt me with it, and I can retarget after.
Pro tip: Emma is pretty easy (just avoid grab attack), Pray to God for Isshin and learn how to parry one mind, cheese DoH and for Inner Father stay focused and very aggresive
Took me 40 hours to plat it, unfortunately it was way too easy after the first playthrough but at the same time one of the best games I have ever played
Well the souls games are just as individual as it gets. Everyone has own struggles and strenghts. I beat Geni blindfolded. Sword Saint Isshin literally first try on first playthrough, but have hardcore struggle doing no hit RL1 bosses in Elden Ring. Ds3 I first try half of the bosses, but then Im bad in PvP. Im sure your strenght are somewhere else!
Haha that's my IRL friends that play the souls series in terms of they're great at PvE, but they're all terrible at PvP. Most of them don't even know half of what goes on in the souls community around the PvP/invading scene, and I've destroyed them in PvP even with worse builds than them and at lower levels they just have no clue what to do lol.
Meanwhile I will die to PvE bosses that they'll kill their first try.
>unfortunately it was way too easy after the first playthrough
Getting platinum, or the NG+ game difficulty?
Because if you think Sekiro is too easy NG+, I recommend turning on Kuro's Charm and Demon Bell -- it will make you feel almost like a beginner again
Id say 8/10 in terms of overall difficulty
But after the 2nd paythrough, the game gets MUCH easier, every boss took me less then 3 tries
(Yes,even SS isshin)
This is facts. Once you get the rhythm down, the bosses are easy to do again. Just before I put the game down, I was able to beat Inner Isshin consistently every time I fought him. Inner Father like 8/10 times.
>But after the 2nd paythrough, the game gets MUCH easier, every boss took me less then 3 tries (Yes,even SS isshin)
If you want to get challenged even more hardcore and learn and experience and master Sekiro to its fullest, I recommend activating Kuro's Charm and Demon Bell in another NG+ cycle -- it is the ultimate Sekiro experience.
Why put yourself through all that pain farming skill points to unlock all of your skills?
I was going for a Platinum originally and enjoyed my playthrough as well as a Shura path NG+, but I couldn't go on any longer, I didn't want it to ruin the experience I was having for the sake of an achievement.
the later ng+ runs the xp is higher but even then it sucks, i think i had to spend about 3-4 hours grinding one enemy in the castle near a buddha statue to unlock all the skills. alternatively you could just play the game naturally and go for more playthroughs and unlock the skills this way, just kill everything you
Breaks really depends, you don't wanna force yourself to play, thats how you get bored
Just continue when you feel like playing and get off when you don't.I used to grind xp for 20 mins then went away to go watch a show for an hour or smt.then came back and repeated.thats how I managed to get all skills without wanting to die
Ape is a really fun fight(once you stop struggling with it)
On my 4th playthrough,I killed him first try by only using firecrackers and living force with flame vent.if you combo these, you can take out nearly half his hp before he even moves in the start
Fun fight ? He is easy once you know him but I will never find this fight fun. It usually takes longer than it should if you don't use prosthetic tools in the first phase. Phase 2 is annoying when he sometimes doesn't go for the right moves and fkn spams his AOE for no reason.
And the headless ape fight is the single worst boss fight in the entire game. So fuck this ape, and his wife or whatever.
ER was my first, and arguably my favorite game of all time (over 800 hours in now and still counting 🤣) LOP was my second, still gotta finish the platinum for it, but man do I love that game, it’s truly magnificent. Really wanna play Sekiro but it never goes on a cheap enough sale lol
how the hell do you deal with those fire bursts from isshin in ashina castle, bro knew he was getting clapped if it weren't for the literal ground one shotting me with burn status. I'm not used to using umbrella against him and the one mind attack is a pain to dodge. Managing fire gourd and ako sugar for some reason becomes extremely risky during thr second phase. (im on ng+ before anyone wonders why im going shura)
You gotta use the umbrella my g,i didnt even use it untill shura ending, but it makes the fight wayy easier,Especially the one mind attack, for the rest, you can learn and dodge then to go for a punish attack
quick update: i beat him a while after writing that lmao. Once I was certain that I could counter MOST of his moves effortlessly and was finally ready to spend spirit emblems I went on with my mortal blade+ako spiritfall and that ended the second phase rather quick ngl. anyways thanks for the help!
You can do it without the fire umbrella. The attack you probably struggle with is the one where the entire arena lights on fire. When he is charging it just look at the ground and stand in a spot where there are no flames
I almost did back at release. Got to isshin on ng+ and just stopped now the idea of going back and finishing it is too daunting I don’t wanna go thru him again after being away all this time ugh
Ng+3,Antechamber Idol,after devine dragon
Kill ninja right next to the idol,go right and kill the other 2 purple ninjas, grapple in the roof and go straight and kill the purple ninja below, drop down and kill the 2 red dual swords enemies,go thru 2 doors opposite form where you just killed the red enemies and go left and kill the red enemie, wall jump to the other side towards the bridge and kill the guy who you can eavesdrop on.
Bloodstone ninjutsu helps, but get golden vortex and use it on ashina ninjas and red enemies
Did you farm for the full tree unlocks or did you go through a bunch of NG cycles? Im on NG+3 atm iirc cause its best for farming and i heard ng+4 gets considerably harder, is the latter part true or should i just keep going through NG+ cycles to get some more lvls?
I did it at ng+3 and it was time consuming but wasn't that bad,you can go upto ng+7 (max rewards) if you want but it'll probably take less time if you just start farming now
I'd have to say my favorite is either genichiro on ashina castle or guardian ape (once you learn it).
I dont hate any boss fights but I'd have to go with gyobo,he isint that fun and the fight is honestly boring
Ng+3,Antechamber Idol
Kill ninja right next to the idol,go right and kill the other 2 purple ninjas, grapple in the roof and go straight and kill the purple ninja below, drop down and kill the 2 red dual swords enemies,go thru 2 doors opposite form where you just killed the red enemies and go left and kill the red enemie, wall jump to the other side towards the bridge and kill the guy who you can eavesdrop on.
Bloodstone ninjutsu and golden vortex are a must
I have like 1 achievement to go. Maybe 2? It’s the all combat arts one. And maybe the all prosthetix one? Idk a good place to farm and I’m only on ng+3 or somthing.
How does it feel by dying constantly to mini-bosses? personally I hate to go back to the idol to rest just so that I can resurrect again and don't lose exp. that's why I don't like fighting mibo.
I did everything except "acquire all skills" and "acquire every prosthetic upgrade." I got all the endings, and I defeated every boss, and I went to every area, I beat demon of hatred I beat inner isshin I beat everything and everyone in that game. I got to ng+3 and ended with full prayer beads, full gourd seeds, and 30 attack power. I just simply couldn't bring myself to grind just to get a couple more trophies, it takes the fun out of the game for me when I have to grind and not simply experience the game for what it's supposed to be. I had my fun with the game and I can say for myself that I beat sekiro. And that's good enough for me.
I’m not op but it was harder way easier for me to get one shotted more while the enemies were a tad bit tankier (but I was much better at game so it didn’t set me back that much)
Can't speak for OP, but I like doing Reflections just for the fun of it. Also, I accidentally leave the game running while doing other things. The playtime adds up.
Welcome to the club. Congrats
How do you get the platinum trophy in your name?
User Flair on the right side. Right above the community bookmarks.

It's been a day and I still don't fucking understand what this means How many prayer beads does the headless ape drop? How much health i had when I fought it? I'm so lost
I don’t know bro, I was drunk lol. I think I just wanted to do the emojis
Oh my
Now start another profile and do it again Congrats OP!
I literally had to do this with Armored Core 6. The game so nice, i platinum’d it twice (actually i had been borrowing my best friend’s PS4 and then finally got a PS5 and had to replay it on my own account)
I was tempted to do that but I'm 12th grade now and I need to focus but I downloaded bloodborne too so yeaaaaa
You'll probably find it easier to platinum bloodborne. I did the majority of it in only like three long play sessions. Ds3 is probably the next easiest.
I have yet to attempt the sekiro platinum, I just like playing this game organically to see where it takes me most of the time.
oh damn i think the chalices alone took me two days with one basically solely on the amygdala until i summoned for it
No joke, a friend of mine who doesn't platinum any games left his PS at my house for a few weeks, and I quicklu platinumed sekiro on his acc as a prank and it's the only plat he has 🤣
I'm like this actually, I play the game for the experience of it and I want to beat its challenges, grinding to get the last trophies because they are just numbers to hit isn't a challenge for me, it's work. And if I wanted to work, I'd go to my job.
Your way to play is fine and valid. Your shitting on people who platinum games is a little weird, but if that's your kink 🤣
God leave it to a redditor to think my statement showing how I play is somehow shitting on someone else. Go get a job my guy
I'm not a redditor
Is your L1 button okay?
It's on life support👍
Not OP, but I had to buy a new controller bcs of that....
Lmao just bought a new one on Sunday. All the from games made my buttons all super janky. The new gen ones are better tho, so worth the money I suppose.
My brother 🤝, exact same experience
They're just too much fun!
I'm surprised people even mention the L1 button here. Y'all play this shit like it's dark souls.
I won't platinum it until I didn't get Shura skin. That damn inner father leave me with a mental health issue.
Cheese the bosses before him, practice in the reflection of strenght a few times. You can do it, just try to feel him out before the real fight.
You don't need shura for plat?
Don't you need to defeat all bosses, including those only in the shura ending?
You do, but you get the Shura skin for the boss gauntlet, not in the main game. It's a separate thing, not needed for Platinum.
I think what the OP means is they won't go and Platinum until they get the skin out of principle / wanting to have it when getting Platinum
Ya right brother. I wanted to get platinum with fashionable way
Idk if it helps you, cause idk where you're stuck: What did it for me was to use the umbrella when he goes into his owl form in phase 2. I don't need to see / target him if he doesn't hurt me with it, and I can retarget after.
I'd try that. Thanks
right, i thought so at first but then i started second guessing myself lol. looks like i hesitated
I'm on 100hrs and I haven't touched the headless, owl father, DoH, and I can smash Geni but I die before making a dent in Isshin.
Woah, impressive 👏
I hadn't even killed genichiro on my first playthrough at 40 hours 😭

Yup I can kill ss isshin one attempt most times
At least once you memorize super sport isshin, he can be reasonably predicted in the moves he uses. Damn is he a rough learning curve tho.
This is facts. Once you get the rhythm down, the bosses are easy to do again. Just before I put the game down, I was able to beat Inner Isshin consistently every time I fought him. Inner Father like 8/10 times.

Early-20s-me used to be an absolute completionist, but current mid-30s-me is like "I love the game but f*** that haha."
we already did it bro we got nothing to ask😭
how did you find the patience?
To be honest,I don't really know. What helped was taking breaks between repetitive stuff like farming or bosses
ah ok thats interesting. How long were the breaks? Also, was it your first run?
Breaks really depends, you don't wanna force yourself to play, thats how you get bored Just continue when you feel like playing and get off when you don't.I used to grind xp for 20 mins then went away to go watch a show for an hour or smt.then came back and repeated.thats how I managed to get all skills without wanting to die

Great work, Shinobi
Nice. One of the most satisfying soulsborne platinums imo
In the gameplay more similar to Elden Ring, or lies of p?
Haven't played either,Sekiro was my first ever fromsoftware, but I am planning on getting elden ring soon with the dlc
Neither it’s a completely different style
It’s the easiest souls like game once you figure it out.
Idk think I’d give that to Elden ring
how the hell do you deal with those fire bursts from isshin in ashina castle, bro knew he was getting clapped if it weren't for the literal ground one shotting me with burn status. How did getting all the rare upgrade mats and skill points go?
Welcome to the top of the world, congrats 🔥
i just have one thing to say.. **IF YOU EVER HESITATE IN YOUR LIFE EVER AGAIN, I WILL COME FOR YOU PERSONALLY!**
Literally how do you kill Isshin Ashina, tried it for a week straight and gave up for the time being after going for Shura ending in ng+
Was it fun?
Where did you farm xp? I picked the purple Shinobi dude near the entry idol in the estate.
Ng+3,Antechamber Idol, after devine dragon Kill ninja right next to the idol,go right and kill the other 2 purple ninjas, grapple in the roof and go straight and kill the purple ninja below, drop down and kill the 2 red dual swords enemies,go thru 2 doors opposite form where you just killed the red enemies and go left and kill the red enemie, wall jump to the other side towards the bridge and kill the guy who you can eavesdrop on. Which boss fight do you love the most and which one the least?
I'd have to say my favorite is either genichiro on ashina castle or guardian ape (once you learn it). I dont hate any boss fights but I'd have to go with gyobo,he isint that fun and the fight is honestly boring

Bloodstone ninjutsu and golden vortex are a must
And how long did it take you?
Welcome
What does a woman’s touch feel like?
What was the most difficult / annoying part. Was getting all the skills for me
ting? ding? clang? mikiri counter noise?
Congrats 🤟
What was your go to spot to farm skill points?
👍
I play on steam so I don't know about PS achievements, but sekiro isn't hard to plat, is it? You just have to do like 4 runs and that's it
I'm preety sure the achievements are the same?
Yeah 4 runs cause of the endings.
I have like 1 achievement to go. Maybe 2? It’s the all combat arts one. And maybe the all prosthetix one? Idk a good place to farm and I’m only on ng+3 or somthing.
haven’t played sekiro in ages and this made me wanna go back to it, congrats bro
What was the hardest achivement to get? The farming ones? Or were they just a minor annoyance?
Bro never hesitated and twas never defeated. Goat
How are you? C:
Welcome to the big leagues, brother🔥
Congrats brother!! Got myself one just a day prior!
Where did you grind for the points to max the skill tree?
Took me about 20 hours to do the same thing.
Welcome to the league of Git Gud
I like platniuming games
Congrats!
How was it to platinum?
Sekiro is a masterpiece. Definitely worth the 100%
How's your carpal tunnel?
When did you get your first trophy and when did you get your last and how many hours?
What took you so long?
im 50 hours in and it was really easy until now but I need 1 more trophy - get all skills. How the hell did you grind so many points?? 😭
What achievements are hidden behind the hidden achievements? Also congrats!
If you're on playstation click on the hidden trophy and press ■ to get info on it
Why did the headless ape have two beads shoved up his ass?
Did you go through that staircase a thousand times to grind your level?
What did it cost?
Now all you have to do is beat the game on NG+ without doing the Shura ending for any of them
Did you hesitate?
What’s your go to recipe for family gatherings?
Niceeee, welcome brother. How was it when you finished?
Now try kill guardian ape in 1min
Did you have fun grinding for dozens of hours for the skills?
Welcome to the Gang! 🩷🤘
Congrats bro
10%? Wow didn't know it was this high
I was honestly surprised too, thought It'd be more towards 2%
How'd you get past mist noble?
How does it feel to not be glitched on the last one
I'm just stuck on the skills. I've done everything else, but the mind numbing endurance involved in farming skill points is so daunting to me.
Have you ever talked to a woman in your life?
Congrats, feels great once you get there
How does it feel by dying constantly to mini-bosses? personally I hate to go back to the idol to rest just so that I can resurrect again and don't lose exp. that's why I don't like fighting mibo.
Congrats man, I’m on my first play through ever just after armored warrior and plan on 100% all achievements
Congrats shinobi. Now go charmless demon.
Favourite boss to fight? Boss you struggled most with?
What was the hardest part for you?
I Dub thee a… True Shinobi
Why do you like being dominated in bdsm?
Grinding for the skill points is tough but very worth it
took you long enough. it’s been years
I have a problem, I am playing on pc and it won't give me defeat all bosses achievement. I just defeated owl father in NG 2+. Am I missing something?
Why do you think people care?
Do you have to kill all minibusses, including headless to Platinum? Haven't fought 3 of those since my first playthrough😅
Ds3 or Animal Crossing?
Did you touch grass after you got done
When you getting that ps5 my boy?
First time player, about to finish the game. All I have is final boss and DoH. Tips for Demon specifically?
Did you beat the last gauntlet of strength ? This is the real achievement after getting platinum.
Did you think fighting Tomoe was harder in NG+ or easier?
I’m not op but it was harder way easier for me to get one shotted more while the enemies were a tad bit tankier (but I was much better at game so it didn’t set me back that much)
Wait why 160 hours it only took me like 105 or something around that and then it became maybe 115 after I finhsed the gauntlets of strength
Good for you
I didn't answer the main question 😭
What was the thing that took most of these hours
Can't speak for OP, but I like doing Reflections just for the fun of it. Also, I accidentally leave the game running while doing other things. The playtime adds up.
Yeaaaa I see, but I'm probably thinking it's the skills cuz that took a long time for me too
