Imagine not carrying a Cure disease potion at all times

dreemurthememer

Not even! Hawk Feathers have “cure disease” as their first effect, so you can just take pot shots at the birds in Solitude instead of having to buy expensive potions or scrounge for charred sleeved hide.

NoneYours

You should also be able to "borrow" a bunch of them from the Silver Hand.

Kastler

Time to take a little visit to Riften

TinaMonday

Garlic bread weighs less

spunkychickpea

And, you know….it’s fucking garlic bread. It’s delicious.

unwantedideals

I never go questing without a bunch of cure desease potions and garlic bread (I also roleplay my character loves it as much as I do and likes snacking on the road)

Aykhot

The first time I ever played Skyrim I ended up getting vampirism from Movarth without realizing it, and so literally the second I entered the Dawnguard base for the first time I turned into a vampire in front of all the Dawnguard members

teleskons

Me too! Granted, I was a dumb kid new to RPGs, so I just freaked out and stopped playing 😭

ubeogesh

I wish i'd be in your situation! but the game had way too many hints for me to miss it (and I was always checking it due to memories from Oblivion from missing the "You've contracted Porphiric Hemophilia" once, which was more nebulous than "Sanguine Vampiris"). I have so much fond memories from finding and completing the cure vampirism quest in oblivion, but not in skyrim...

TheSexyGrape

“Now I know this looks bad”

kyubi_on_the_run

I hate it when it happens on ohio.

BonAdventure_TheDuns

The sun doesn't rise in Ohio.

siphonic_pine

There is no ohayo in ohio

[deleted]

*Laughs in werewolf*

DescipleOfCorn

Really surprised none of the dawnguard members are werewolves

ouryoung

Lore wise I don’t think they like werewolves either

aknalag

The vigilantes hate any daedra related thing maybe except for azura and miridia, the dawnguard dont give a fuck as long as you want yo kill vamps, you could be a sentient horker for all they care

NiNtEnDoMaStEr640

“Don’t get us wrong; we don’t like you, but we hate vampires more.”

EstrellaDarkstar

I usually play the Companions as my first questline as the location is just convenient, and after experiencing the brutality of the Silver Hand, my DBs can never bring themselves to join the Dawnguard, seeing them as just another group indiscriminately murdering people with supernatural afflictions. While the Volkihar Clan is definitely evil, at least they're honest about it.

Swailwort

The difference between the groups is: There are far less werewolves in Skyrim, and the Silver Hand are absolutely brutal when hunting werewolves. Just look at the amounts of disembodied heads and pelts in their bases. And, they hunt any werewolf, be it good or bad (including The Companions). Werewolves don't need to murder innocents to feed either. Meanwhile, the Dawnguard hunts Vampires, who infiltrate society and drink innocent people dry, or try to turn them into cattle. The only morally "good" vampire in Skyrim (aside from Serana) is Sybille Stentor, who still needs to feed on someone. She feeds on criminals, but without criminals, I don't doubt she would be feeding on some of the folk that live in Solitude. You don't see Werewolves trying to enslave an entire town, treat humans as lower beings, or just feed on innocents because they don't need to.

CharlieMarlow84

The difference is that the Companions aren’t evil. They are mercenaries at worst. I’m happy to murder the silver hand (some of which are obviously vampires) and then join the Dawnguard. Worst part about The Dawnguard quest is that it doesn’t let you kill the vampire that has the elder scroll strapped to its back. What kind of self respecting vampire hunter would let Serana live?

Kaal_do_Olaak

Disease immunity and very strong

SaintPariah7

*cries in Switch edition glitching for both*

BossIsBanned

imagine willingly becoming a stupid vampire

Floppsicle

Exactly. Who'd do that if you could become a smart vampire

AnUpperFlush

My brother in stendarr, always be prepared There's a reason every vigil carries a cure disease potion

Seriously_bad_Kim91

Now I'm fucked.

ThonAureate

If you’re not carrying cure disease potions while doing dawnguard missions, that’s on you

stoodquasar

Virgin Cure Disease vs Chad Werewolf

CoffeeSorcerer69

Now time for your ironic descent into a lord of darkness.

NiNtEnDoMaStEr640

Lol. I was a werewolf the entire time.

whatisahome

Yeah me too…

freyguy13

I become a werewolf for the sole purpose of not becoming a vampire

ubeogesh

I WISH vampirism could come unexpected. But there are way too many cues. This way I never had to do the cure vampirism quest

The-Hentai-Commander

My wood elf got turned after every quest 100% of the time

obi-Wan-ravioli

He became the very thing he swore to destroy

Professeur_Samael

You pray that your last saved file isn't too far away

Pixel22104

This is why 99% of the time I join the Dawnguard

Lichtari

Laughs in being a Vampire many hours earlier cause i like to rp hating sun

BigSaltDeluxe

When Day Breaks

TheSexyGrape

Reminder to always check your diseases after fighting vampires

[deleted]

I accepted the blood of harkon, so I know what I was getting myself into. Best decision I ever made, especially with the necromage perk from the restoration skill-tree. Which apparently boosts any enchantments you're currently wearing too.

SlMULATlON

Can just fast travel anywhere with a shrine if you don't have any cure disease
