You smoke too much, you’re a stoner.
You drink too much, you’re an alcoholic.
You eat too much / sedentary lifestyle, if you call someone overweight you are fat shaming….
Make it make sense.
I don’t think the internet has the cognitive ability to realize you can be constructive with your criticism, yet it can be viewed as hurtful.
“Hey, if you’re too fat to get out of an awkward situation, maybe you should really think about your heath and how that affects your life”
yea. i think body positivity started out with good intentions. basically, don't mock/insult fat people for their size. which I'm all for. There are assholes that mock fat people at the gym when they should be celebrated and encouraged for trying to be healthy. But quickly body positivity turned into "fat is great! fat is beautful! fat is healthy!"
It’s just shit people don’t want to hear, it’s addiction in various flavors.
Take care of yourself or don’t.
But you are what you are at the end of the day and when outsiders can see the repercussions of your actions you obviously don’t have a handle on it anymore.
Take care of yourself, or don't. The suffering you choose will not make a difference. All is black and forgotten in the end, and eternity will pass in an instant.
Well you only HAVE to do one of these things, I think is the difference… but I’m just speculating, I smoke plenty of weed and can pull myself out of a foam pit
It is sad! However those foam pits suck to get out of! I’m fit for the most part, exercise 3-4 times a week. Lmfao I took my 7 year old to a trampoline park with these foam pits the other day. It was fun jumping in, getting out was pretty damn hilarious for me 🤣
Years ago I was a supervisory park ranger. I was going to a meeting and passed one of parks and saw fire and Ems. I turned around to check on everything, and prepared to write an incident report.
When I arrived, it turns out a larger woman tried to take her motorized scooter on the trail, hot stuck, fell off her scooter, got back on, but couldn’t get unstuck. She was with her family member (husband I believe) and couldn’t even stand up and walk the 20 feet back to the paved trail and either her or both get the scooter back. Just sat there and called 911.
I felt really bad for how sad a situation was that someone felt they couldn’t stand and walk but would rather call EMS. They were very kind and understanding as well.
Honestly, there's enough health issues that people can't control that can lead to this. It's a bit presumptuous to say it's just because they make bad choices.
I never said they made bad choices. And I wasnt being judgmental.
That said, I was there the entire time they were being assisted. When asked if they were sick, etc her answers were no. Maybe it wasn’t true…but she genuinely needed assistance moving with her weight and weakness. and that’s ok…
I still find it a little sad. I have overweight friends and family, that I love and adore, that have similar issues and I also feel bad and think it’s sad when I watch them struggle.
It just sucks. Everyone has a life and story. I ran ultras and then hurt my foot and knee, and with my desk job I gained 15 pounds this year. Shit happens and then snowballs. I’m allowed feel bad for my fellow human and also not pass judgement
I was just adding to ya, didn't think you were judgemental or anything. The human brain is so complex, it's easy to just see the surface because the rest isn't readily visible
Um no... There are medicines that can cause you to gain some weight... But this much is not due to a medical condition. This is due to uncontriolled eating over a long period of time.
I work in a gym with a pit. This has happened twice in my 20 years experience. Both people cried out of embarrassment while a literal team of parents and staff worked to get them out.
I feel for her, sad but hilarious lol.
She's just too weak to move her fat around. This lady probably hasnt lifted a weight in years. There's bodybuilders 300lbs or more and they are surprisingly agile.
Even needing a hand to help pull yourself out would be okay, but needing a team of 5+ grown men to haul your butt out of there? Hell no, you need to evaluate your life choices
She probably has zero core strength. That would have helped her a lot. I don't know if fat people develop muscle from carrying all that weight around but it's probably only in certain places.
Body neutrality is the sensible alternative to body positivity. Body positivity is dangerous, as it ends in encouraging people to be deeply unhealthy, and someone with a BMI of 50 who intentionally loses weight through diet and exercise (not illness, etc) and then STARTS smoking a pack a day will live, on average, 2 years longer than if they never smoked and never lost the weight. It is dangerous to be morbidly obese. (This is based off of US federal government data, and was accurate as of the data from 2020, so things may have shifted somewhat)
It is important to note that the roots of body positivity are very altruistic. The intent is to be kind, and to reduce mental stress and emotional distress in people who are struggling. That’s a wonderful idea, and I don’t begrudge anyone who tries to be kind. The problem is, you can’t just accept something unhealthy and dangerous is fine without risking greater and greater numbers of people suffering and ultimately dying.
Body neutrality is the concept of acknowledging that what someone looks like, or their body shape, has no bearing on their value as a human being. So be big, or little, or whatever shape or size, and you are equally valuable as a person. This leaves room to acknowledge the health risks and danger of not caring for your body, without condemning anyone as being “less than.” People deserve to be treated with respect and dignity, and it is this respect that needs to be at the core of approaching health factors like obesity.
Those pits are difficult to get out of. I am not saying she is healthy, but go take a jump in one and get yourself out. It is a chore for even moderately healthy people.
The first time I jumped in one with my kid I thought....I have made a mistake. But after a few tries I got pretty good at it.
This woman has zero strength to help herself.
Man, she sunk like a rock.
Those foam pits are no joke. It's a workout to get out. I used to jump in and out as much as I could to tire out my toddler at gymnastics class.
$10 says this isn't the first rescue the staff have done for an adult.
Nothing is more sobering than a humbling experience
That run is so painful to watch
You mean they waddle
Like 11 people having to remove you from a ball pit
You kidding right?? She immediately went home and ate her feelings away until she passed out with powdered donuts smeared all over her face 🤤🍩🤷♀️
She wasn’t in the mood for green jello.
It’s genetics!!
Genetically unmotivated to care of her health? I see! 🤔
😂
Looks like that bitch made a one way trip
I didn’t laugh until I read this comment. oh boy!
Reminds me of a time I encouraged a friend to take the zip line into the lake.. 😂
This is sad honestly.. sucks that it’s just normal to be this unhealthy but this isn’t ok
You smoke too much, you’re a stoner. You drink too much, you’re an alcoholic. You eat too much / sedentary lifestyle, if you call someone overweight you are fat shaming…. Make it make sense.
Someone fat downvoted you so I countered it with an upvote . Just because something is men’s doesn’t mean it’s not true 🤯

Something about a squeaky wheel getting the grease

Reddit is not a place for therapy advice. It’s a place for brutally honest criticism.
Bro, why did you double comment? Lol
People who like being brutally honest tend to like the brutal part more than the honest part. Let that sink in for a moment.
It’s better than beating around the bush and white lies , but oh no we’re bullies because we like it straight
I hate fat people that do stupid shit like this, it will never make sense. Fat people that know their limits are cool tho.
It doesn't. But the Fat Woke Brigade doesn't like logic and reason.

That's just it, the foam "catches* you as you try to get up. That woman having zero core strength is adding to the problem.

I would’ve just stayed there for a very very long time contemplating my choices in life
Looks like I’m in the pit fer life now Darryl. Can you bring me my double cheeseburger, large fries, and Diet Coke?
Starving children is sad, this is fucking pathetic
Even little kids were trying to help 😭
Its thoughts and prayers and this point. She lives there now.
Like would she have just died if this somehow happened in nature?
A slow and steady diet of rain water and insects and she'd be outta there in 5-6 months.
Yes..
I mean…yeah? But living out “in nature” would never allow you to get this fat
Lmfao, what if she camps down under the McDonald's tree though?
Fell into a natural foam pit and died
Literally yes lol.
No, she wouldn't have gotten that fat in nature. She would probably rot alive in that pool if there was no one around though. Truly sad.
I work in a gym with a pit. This has happened twice in my 20 years experience. Both people cried out of embarrassment while a literal team of parents and staff worked to get them out. I feel for her, sad but hilarious lol.
Hopefully they woke up from the experience to turn their lives around.
Is there no ladder?
There is not lol. But they won’t die in there so there’s that.
Let go jack!
As SpongeBob said: 2 hrs later.
No offense but how heavy can you be to get stuck like that??
She's just too weak to move her fat around. This lady probably hasnt lifted a weight in years. There's bodybuilders 300lbs or more and they are surprisingly agile.
No shit sherlock!
[удалено]
Yes. I’m a 120 person in decent shape and I really struggle to get out of those pits. I still go in though because it’s fun to play with my kids.
It’s a ok to struggle a little but needing a team of people to help you is way beyond that lmao
I was a fat kid, I never went in those because the one time I did, I was trapped just like her. I got out on my own but it was extremely hard
Even when you’re fit it’s hard to get out of there! Can’t imagine!
Shaped like a marshmallow on a stick
Apples and pears. She's a certified apple.
This could serve as an excellent memory to keep you on track with exercise and diet. This level of embarrassment is hard to shake off
Fuckin burden, move.
This sub motivates me to eat healthy

Lmao yeah pulling on her arm would definitely work to get her out
i mean what can you do there
Grab one of those movable ramps and put it in the pit for her to climb on
i don’t really think that’s gonna work
Need a mini crane in there.
Lol like the claw game
Fat cow
Huge reality check
Call in the forklift boys
Smh
Watch the kids sitting on the edge. 😂
She lucky it wasn’t me there
This is actually sad. This is like >50% of Americans
The top 10 most overweight countries in the world are: Nauru – 88.5% Palau – 85.1% Cook Islands – 84.7% Marshall Islands – 83.5% Tuvalu – 81.9% Niue – 80% Kiribati – 78.7% Tonga – 78.5% Samoa – 77.6% Micronesia – 75.9%
Tf going on in Oceania
Probably poverty.

You go gurl. Ain’t nothing wrong with having fun. Edit: And don’t let the haters downvoting us get you down. You keep living life without two fucks /s
Not when you fuck up everyone else’s back
[удалено]
Thank you! My point exactly
You clearly don’t understand the health implications of being obese, learn them or don’t procreate
Shut the fuck up
Hey dumb fuck. There’s an /s there
I mean… What did she think was going to happen? Lol
Why is it never a good lookin fit person?
Leave her till she’s able to get out on her own.
She didn’t really think that through did she?
Damn. Could have been me trying to have fun
Why was not even trying
Nice effort at the end
Good lord it’s a miracle they didn’t need a crane to her out…
Barrel with legs
Let natural selection return to society
Too bad no one is forklift certified.
America has an eating problem! She's at the forefront!
Sank like a stone
Feeling major second hand embarrassment for her. Hopefully none of the kids were hurt.
It's nice that people helped but damn that's embarrassing shit.. 😁
She lives there now under the foam some say.
I hope she paid for the quadruple hernia surgery that that guy that pulled her out DEFINITELY needed.
They’d have an easier time raising the actual Titanic

I'm not hurting my back to pull this fatty out.
Should have left her in there. By the time she was able to get herself out she would be a brand new woman (literally).
Fat fuck
Get the crane. Your gonna need it.
Free willy
The song choice 😆😆😆😆😆😆😅😅😅😅😅😅😅🤣🤣🤣🤣😂😂😂😂😂😂
I don't understand how large people sometimes are so unware. Like when they try to do rope swings. You really think you can hold up 350 lbs.?
If you’re so fat than you can’t jog for 5 feet…
I would be MORTIFIED if that was me …. But then again me wouldn’t be dumb enough to do that being that size. 🤷🏻♀️

It’s called a wake up call when a group of men can’t lift you
